Great job putting this together! I put a zip tie to keep the transducer on the plate straight. Works pretty well but that Berkley pro protector is super nice. Gotta look into that.

An observation is that the echomap ultra 102sv seems to droop downwards despite the mount being fully tightened. seems the unit is a bit heavy for the mount. don't know if anyone has had this same issue and can offer a solution

Great fish finder! I fish the outter walls of my marina in 60’ avg depths in Dana point , ca... this might be overkill on my yak but something similar and compact would be nice
I know that I am posting this comment very late but I installed a garmin striker 4 on my outback and the transducer does not make contact with water so will it still work properly

@@SheLovesToFish Yeah I thought the same too. Without it looks fine, but it's ugly. Ahahahahaha! My biggest concern was the side scan working as it should. did the barely pro transducer shield retract fully into the hull? or was it still poking out a lil? was going to order one but don't want it resting on the shield in the back of my pickup

I'm storing the battery in the center hatch right now but am putting together a box to store it on the back of my kayak. This is the Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra 102sv.

cool way to install your transducer. i saw the lowerance version but was curious on how to install other versions onto the hobie.

The shield does not impact the side view returns at all! It works great 😀
