Funny story when I was watching yugioh gx as a kid I kept desperately searching for the chemical formula for fire as I was wondering what monsters would make up that dragon. I never had any luck.
So it’s never confirmed, but from the GBA yugioh days, there is one specific monster made of fire similar to the one as shown. It’s called Darkfire dragon, and it was first released in 2008
Javelin Beetle is so bad that it was already outmoded on release, as Magician of Black Chaos was released that same weekend (yeah it didn't get it's ritual card for 4 months but that's not a huge deal)
Feels like a lot of the cards that end up being "worsts" of almost any subject are always some of the very obscure anime cards that when translated to the TCG were made completely useless from the start.
Duel links kind of mitigates that a bit since it's based on the anime and usually has skills that help cover the weaknesses in some way, so if your favorite card is Javelin Beetle, you don't have to just suck it up as everyone mocks you for using it, I'm sure Weavil has some effect that boosts insect monsters in a way to make it stronger and maybe win a game for you. That's the nice thing about Duel Links.... there's always a way to make your favorite monster work, even if you win like 1 out of 100 games with it.
It literally says in the description who writes the scripts and he's said multiple times that he only narrates the videos. It's not a secret or anything.
@@plabcentral630 Not writing your own stuff doesn't mean it's slop. How many movies have you seen where all the actors wrote their own lines and the script?
Hehe that's kind of why in "Worst ofs" you can't realy just list all normal monsters cause the immense normal support always makes them somewhat more useful. and similar for 0 attack/def since a lot of effects out there can easily summon monsters with lower than generally 1500 attack and particularly 0 attack and defense if you find the right card. So the criteria generally is: - must be an effect monster - the effect has a summoning restriction or is a net negative - can't be special summoned through any means but the summoning restriction - must have above 1500 attack if level 5 or above so it can't be cheated by Mystic Tomato. - must have ZERO protection. - must not be part of an archetype that uses it or is part of an archetype that can't make use of it's name (had to throw that in because simply BEING a Blue eyes/Red Eyes/Gladiator beast make those normal monsters way stronger). All those traits are something Normal monsters have... even by default, they recur quite easily.
I think there are over 10,000 cards in the game, not including alternate card art. Though many have similar effects in a vacuum except with "works with this archetype instead of that archetype" there's always something to talk about when it comes to certain sets, and sometimes lists can change over time. like "Yeah back then this card was awful and unplayable, but Konami updated the banlist and now you can FINALLY play this card and it's actually pretty good thanks to modern support." or like "This card USED to be awful, but pendulums made it so much easier to put on the field, it's actually worth playing in a good pendulum deck." Hence a stronger emphasis on the summoning restrictions lately. cards locked into the past that will never be unlocked because you simply can't play them without choosing to use a rock club with rope over a chain mace.
*nerd voice while tweaking glasses* : ehm actually Trap hole won't work on elemental hero tempest because it only works on normal and flip summons special summons 😅
3:46 Idea for a Chaos Goddess retrain to make it more convenient, BUT rewarding players for using specific materials: _Chaos Divinity_ (DARK) Level 8 Fairy/Synchro/Tuner/Effect 1+ Tuner Monsters + 1+ Non-Tuner Monsters _While face-up on the field, this card is also LIGHT-Attribute. Actually, Chaos Goddess was not the first Synchro to require specific kinds of monsters as material. Avenging Knight Parshath was released with the first Synchros in The Duelist Genesis and it took 1 tuner + 1 or more non-tuner Light monsters.
We need Trident Beetle, Spear Beetle, Halberd Beetle, Bident Beetle, Fork Beetle, Staff Beetle, Warhammer Beetle, Naginata Beetle, Jingu Beetle and last but most important Spoon Beetle
You neglected to mention the fact that in that Duel between Joey and Keith, Keith was cheating and lost to Joey who was playing perfectly fair and square! How bad does your Monster need to be for you cheat and STILL lose to its counterpart!? Plus that Red-Eyes Black Fullmetal Dragon is fecking sick! Also, fun fact, the "black" in Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon was never initialised unlike with Red-Eyes Black Dragon and even Meteor Black Dragon! It has always been written as "Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon", never "Red-Eyes B. Metal Dragon"! Weird, huh?
It's funny because Mirage Knight in the Yu-Gi-Oh GBA games : Sacred Stories and Reshef of Destruction, Mirage Knight was INFINITELY stronger because whenever it entered the grave you get to special summon Dark Magican and Flame Swordsman for free.
I never noticed that X was just, holding Z's treads as arms. Not even attached, that man is gripping as hard as he can, do make them look as cool as possible.
4:28 Not really. There's some monsters that require somewhat specific materials, most notably that weird synchro that requires a dark tuner then a beast. 7:00 I agree with that statement. That didn't prevent Bubbleman from seeing competitive play though, due to the power of absolute zero, future/miracle fusion, and being a level 4 water warrior that could special summon itself; in short, the same reason people used Neos Allius, but water instead of light and special summon instead of normal support.

If anything, the dragon cards have some of the best and coolest artwork. I gotta give it to Yugioh for being one of the few monster collection anime series to consistently make big powerful dragons among the best cards and not just "Humans and Robots" being the best ({sigh}..... Digimon......... why are most of the Ultimates and Megas either humans or robots in armor?.... heck even Patamon and Gatomon just turn into humans with armor. though at least Gatomon eventually turns into a dragon so that's cool.)
I actually play a fun goat format deck that uses Mirage Knight. The deck utilizes Soul of Purity and Light as an easy Level 6 Main Deck summon alongside Metamorphosis into DFK or any of the "better" Level 6 goat-era Fusions. For added shenanigans, Dimensionhole and a few other cards are actually capable of keeping Mirage Knight going, along with still being useful for some other shenanigans. It's not the best goat deck by any stretch, but it's still quite fun, especially when it gets going the way it wants.
I remember getting Zoa, Metalzoa, and Goblin Fan from the Falsebound Kingdom promo (great game by the way, everyone should play it). Soon as I saw what Metalmorph does, I wondered why even equip Zoa or Red-Eyes with it, especially once Twin Sword Marauder came out
@TheMightofDab it's not an "umm actually" the cost of cards to summoning a 5-6 and 7+ is HUGE. Imagine summoning a level 5 w/o tribute or a level 7 with only one. It's literally the whole core of cards of that level.
@@Brendanj101 he makes these mistakes just so you comment btw, its a common social media engagement strategy, i'm sure he knows this as someone who has played any game of yugioh.
Quick fact for those who may have overlooked it but the Aleister in the show responsible for Orichi- something or other was a direct reference to Aleister Crowley and his unicursal hexagram of Thelema, the exact identical symbol. Yup yup 👍😊
8:42 - The fact that the ATK increase happens during damage calc is fantastic but that one word in it's effect is *VERY* important: "ORIGINAL". Since it doesn't take boosts into account, it will be worse than any vanilla 2800+ LIGHT monster that just uses Honest. Even worse than you might initially think in fact, because, since Mirage Knight can only be summoned during the Battle Phase, you can't use anything other than Quick Effects, so you can forget about equipping it with Phoenix Gearblade or Twin Swords of Flashing Light Tryce for multiple attacks without something like Swords at Dawn. The only way I was able to pull off a win with it in Master Duel was by abusing Cyber Stein before it got banned to summon a playset of Dark Flare Knights and attack with all 3 for game. 12:45 - Ironically, despite having a playset of both Mirage Knight and Berserk Dragon in Master Duel for years, I have yet to pull more than *ONE* copy of this card to this day. I don't know if it was short printed IRL, but it most definitely was *NOT* a Rare or higher when it came out.
0:30 So if the Non-Effect Ritual Monster HUNGRY BURGER of all Monsters can get some modern support (WITHOUT even a personal retrain on top of that), then Javelin Beetle should get itself something: _Javelin Scarab_ (EARTH) Level 8 _Insect/Ritual/Flip/Effect_ _FLIP: Normal Set 1 EARTH or Insect Flip Monster from your Hand, Deck or GY._ _You can Ritual Summon this card with "Javelin Scarabs Pact". @@hiimemily THERE, made an adjustment to the Ritual Spell to allow for Facedown summoning. @@amorphousprimordia I’d like to think with the effects it has, my retrain idea is just handing out Javelins to your other Insect Monsters, but they would work too.
Here's my idea for the next video: Flame Swordsman. As for the list in the video itselfFirst up is Chaos Goddess, that one ACTUALLY makes senses though I would put it higher personally. Next is E-HERO Tempest, as somone who made a E-HERO deck in the 2006 GBA game, it's at least SOMEWHAT good on YOUR turn in older formats. though DEFINITELY a 1 of in most cases as toolbox card... at least it was good in SOME Time Wizard formats, video games, and most importantly, Duel Links... As some on who is literally trying to build a for fun Red-Eyes Flame Swordsman deck IRL... Yeah... Dark Flare Knight and Mirage Knight at least 1 ofs each NO MATTER WHICH Time Wizard Format your playing at best and at worst can swap both out for something else if you really can't stand them... Though Mirage Knight CAN stack with Honest as a chain link if I read both Honest and Mirage Knight's effects correctly... And Mirage Knight you can us Imperial Iron Wall to counter the negative effect of Mirage Knight since Imperial Iron Wall locks BOTH players out of banishing cards, albeit inconsistent... even after the Dark Magician AND Flame Swordsman support, Dark Flare Knight and Mirage Knight are probably never going to see competitive play... not without Konami going full scorched earth with the Forbidden/Limited List... which is NEVER going to happen... Hopefully it will be good in Duel Links... Tyrant Burst Dragon... I mean... you can make a funny endboard featuring Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight equipped with both Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword AND Tyrant Burst Dragon... that's about it... I don't recommend it unless trying to play for fun... in which case, yeah you kinda deserve that win... and yes I did try to do this in Master Duel and it was as annoying as you would expect on JUST the AI opponents... Though it's probably at least good enough in Duel Links... Vampire Genesis is actually deserved on this list, but then again, early day Structure Decks boss monsters kinda suck, and even in for fun games, I would pick something else to play over Vampire Genesis... VWXYZ Dragon Catapult Cannon is an interesting case, since Frontline Base DOES make it easier to bring it out and is NOT a hard once per turn, making LIGHT Machine Union THE earliest combo deck that many combo decks today can trace their roots to... oh, and it can play Honest just for funsies... at least it was good in Duel Links... Water Dragon is at best a side deck engine, and at worst LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE IS BETTER, like some of the aforementioned monsters... I don't even think it's good in Duel Links though... The Number 1, 2, and 10 spot suffer from what what some people call 90's card design, meaning you can put whatever you want on the card, within reason, and much like Vampire Genesis, I would rather play cards that aren't COMPLETE Bricks in my hand... though Cocoon of Ultra Evolution is capable of making the Great Moths good in Duel Links...
If crush card virus was in a random shop in battle city, why was only Kaiba playing it? Bakura had sangan. Yugi had Kuriboh. Even Marik could probably play it.
They're so weird with the cards they play. we do clearly see characters buying booster packs but I guess mirroring the real world, they are middle/high schoolers and probably don't have much money to keep buying cards. I recall Yuma (who's pretty much an orphan) lamenting he couldn't get an xyz card despite everyone else having one and it was by chance his father's guardian angel gave him one, but only when he's around to duel. Yusei also mostly made use of cards that were thrown away for being too weak, hence the "Junk archetype".
When I was a kid, I bought tons of packs of 'rare' YGO cards at the hobby shop at the mall. This included cards like the 5 Exodia pieces, the Egyptian God cards, and Japanese cards that hadn't been released in the TCG yet. They were all counterfeit Chinese cards that I couldn't use in tournaments. Now that's in the real world, where Yugioh is a casual hobby and there are countless hundreds of thousands of every card in the game in circulation. Imagine what it's like in the anime Universe, where there are only 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons in existence and the card game is midway between being a game that's thousands of years old and a massive public spectacle on par with major league sports. Every toy store on Earth has to be utterly rife with bootleg cards that KaibaCorp Duel Disks probably refuse to recognize. That's probably why everybody's deck sucked so much back then and contained so many random cards: That shit was literally the best that the protagonists could do. Even Kaiba, who had more money than God, *willingly* made use of Saggi the Dark Clown and Hitotsu-Me Giant. What does that tell you?
Imagine how good Mirage Knight could’ve been if Dark Flare Knights effect triggered by battle OR card effect. Cheat out DFK then crash or get it blown up to get a Mirage Knight
Still pretty awful honestly. You're still using resources to cheat out dfk and all mirage knight does is destroy one monster, then selfdestruct. It's basically Exiled Force with thousands of extra steps, and that's not worth the potential 2800 damage (also opponents would just use their Sakuretsu Armors on Mirage Knight instead).
I run vwxyz deck before , 😢 sadly when I'm came back to play this year I never thought it'd didn't have new support or remake cards : ( well now I'm playing cyber dragon deck and it's pretty good
I used an Ojama VWXYZ synchro deck in Duel Links to get King of Games one season. It actually slapped, and it got Dragon Catapult and either a lvl 5 or 8 synchro, like Armedes or Junk Destroyer, alongside it. It fucking slapped.
Here we go with the Tempest slander. Dont pretend Edison doesn't exist, and everyone sleeps on this card; first of all it can target itself for battle protection, which is not hard in a format where Dandelion is legal. Second of all the materials are extremely easy to search and/or foolish to then use miracle fusion. He can be used with miracle fusion to summon Shining so he's not useless in the graveyard, in fact he's very useful in the graveyard since cards like Legacy of a Hero can use him to draw 3 cards, also Core can bring him back, especially since you can summon him by banishing the materials you used for Tempest. And like "ooh he can be outed by cards" EVERYONE can be outed by removal, thats the whole point of removal! Im tired of people talking smack about Heroes that dont have effects because they don't know how to use them, Heroes are NOT bricks! Smh!
I remember trying to make V-Z Dragon Catapult Cannon work with Dimension FIssure/Macro Cosmos. If only my younger self knew it wasn't worth the hassle and instead focus on XYZ instead.
Yeah, the fact that the card to summon is unsearchable doesn't necessarily make it bad. Being able to attack multiple times with any monster equipped and on it's own is pretty useful with the right cards. You just build your deck around pulling off the effect. I'd have personally put this one at number 10 instead of where it was, cause even though Javelin Beetle is easier to search, it's a vanilla ritual card with rather middling stats for the effort put into summoning it. The only real benefit it has is if you have the ritual card, a level 8 and the card itself and really want to facilitate a rank 8 xyz play, Javelin beetle IS easier than Tyrant Burst dragon..... but a card really isn't bad because "you didn't draw the perfect hand first draw" imo..... that's just...part of the game.
Hmm... I am a little inspired right now upon seeing the new Metalmorph trap. Cyber Dragon X Level 6 LIGHT/Machine/Effect 2400/1600 This card cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. This card can be Special Summoned (from your deck) by tributing a "Cyber Dragon" that's equipped with a card. You can reveal this card in your hand to set 1 "Metalmorph" trap from your deck, and if you do, shuffle this card back into your deck. A trap card set with this card's effect can be activated the turn it is set. If this card is equipped with "Max Metalmorph, it gains the following effect: - Your opponent cannot activate trap cards and the effects of all trap cards are negated.
@@Bob12649 I never said it was for either of them. And honestly, Cyber Dragons are about evolution. Metal Morph involves evolving something into a Machine. So what happens when it's used on a Machine?
Chaos Goddess is basically the worst level 8 synchro monster, and by quite a bit, and the fact that there are so many better level 8 synchros is what gives her the spot. She takes 3 materials that also need to be specific, has mediocre attack and her effect is situational and resource draining on top. Javelin Beetle is also easy to summon nowadays and just as bad.
While I do find it interesting to learn just how bad the rabbit hole is, I think it’d be more interesting to see something along the lines of “Hey, here are 10 random cards that are kinda funky. Go try something with them.”
Well part of what makes the "Worst of" videos a great learning tool is knowing WHY they are bad and how to play around them. He used to have a segment like "how would I fix this card?" a long long time ago (though more so for how to nerf overpowered or banworthy cards since fixing bad ones could literally be anything), but as a creative deckbuilder, sometimes part of the fun is learning how to make the most of a bad card. Like believe it or not, there ARE ways to make cards like Dark Artist actually have SOME positive effect, or like how Yusei made those cards that only damage you into some of the strongest effect damage. Sure 99 times out of 100 you'll lose the duel.... but there's NOTHING more satisfying than pulling off a legitimate Flying Elephant win because the opponent, a legitimate opponent played right into your win condition. (I say legitimate because you could always duel the easy NPCs in Duel links or have an opponent purposefully play a weak deck just to pull it off, but I've had some Flying elephant tier wins against real opponents trying to win. a lucky brick or misplay was all it took).
Considering that we got a retrain of the XYZ series, I'm sure that we will see retrains of VW and VWXYZ. And who knows, maybe a new ultimate boss monster combining ABC-VWXYZ?
Unpopular opinion here: I think the Vanilla Elemental heroes should be retrained as pendulum monsters. Considering how most pendulum monster pairs look, they’d fit perfectly into it. On top of that, these retrained monsters should have effects and while I’m thinking that their effects should be based off of their spell and trap specific cards, making it based around fusion/contact fusion could work too. Or, maybe add both? Idk, just throwing out ideas at this point
12:43 This is a good time to mention the game exclusive version of dark flare knight and mirage knight from reshef of destruction. There the two cards are much better since they are more based on their anime counterpart
5:35 Idea to Retrain this card to make it a worthwhile Fusion for it’s stated materials: _Elemental HERO Hurricane_ (WIND) Level 8 Warrior/Fusion/Effect _"Elemental HERO Avian" + "Elemental HERO Sparkman" + "Elemental HERO Bubbleman"_ _Must be Fusion Summoned. If this Fusion Summoned card you control would be Sent to the GY or Banished; Shuffle it into your Extra Deck instead. Face-up “HERO” Monsters you control cannot be Destroyed by battle. You can send 1 other Card from your Hand or Field to the GY; Apply 1 of,the following effects;_ _⚪️: Target 1 “HERO” Monster you control; During this turn, that target can attack a number of times equal to the number of monsters you control when this card resolves._ _⚪️: Target 1 Monster on the field; change the battle position of that target._ _⚪️: Immediately after this Effect Resolves; You can activate 1 Trap from your hand._ ATK/2800 DEF/2800 THERE, the summoning requirements are still as tricky as ever, BUT the Payoff should be more worthwhile. Passive Battle Protections, and the ability to spam reworked versions of its Materials “Signature Move” card effects.
It's heartbreaking to me how bad Chaos Goddess is. Her art is so beautiful, and her effect *seems* usable at a glance, especially with how much chaos support there is. But for the life of me, I haven't found a single way to use her in all the years since she was released. Maybe someday she'll find a niche combo to fit in or something.
It isn't even that bad nowdays, it has a underwhelming effect but its much easier to summon nowdays The bad restrictions Logs talk about are only bad at the time she was released, she got a load of whole chaos synchro support themed around her original version and its piss easy to summon nowdays, people just dont because again, her effect is pretty meh if you are playing competitively Weak but nowhere near bad enough to land on a top 10 worst level 8s
I'm surprised there was never an anime duel between two dinosaur deck players. Water Dragon's effect would be neat to see against all those fire type dinosaurs
If only they didn't completely f8ck up Rex Raptor's character just to have a kid who gets sh8t on the entire show. Weavil deserved it, but ... Rex didn't do anything wrong to deserve everyone's hate in the show. It'd have been really neat to see an older Rex in GX like personally training Tyranno or inspiring him in some way. and heck an older more mature Weavil as well to show he's grown past being a sneaky cheating bug lover. but alas.... at least Pegasus got redeemed....in the anime XD.
I run Genesis in my vampires at 1 he's not horrid and i've seen success using him. that being said i don't think he's super good or anything i think he's got potential if he gets a retrain

Water dragon is not bad but the materials it uses are just bad might as well be vanilla monsters. If future support ever come and there are easier ways to summon the geddon monsters it would probably be somewhat good. Go into cluster using d2o- negate some stuff, tribute it to get two level 8s to go into rank 8 and get back d2o from gy
Vampire Genesis is good not in a zombie Deck but in a vampire deck and the effect that special summons it allows it to be special summoned from hand or deck play tributing vampire lord. And in a vampire deck you can discard the lower level vampires as you want them in the graveyard because you can only special summon them from the graveyard to get their effects the easiest way I run vampire Genesis in my vampire deck and it is a threat because it works.
So noone gonna talk about how he said AFTER 5 and AFTER 7 they require 1 and 2 tributes respectively? Instead of saying starting at 5 and starting at 7
Ngl. Was hella annoyed about mirage knight retrain just for flame swordsman. One of my favourites. Imperial iron wall and mirror knight will always never not be fun.
Metazoa maybe climbs a few ranks. Play Zoa in a Kashtira Deck they have a spell that you can normal summon level 7 without tributes. The right opening hand it is a beat stick on turn 1 at least. Clunks the deck with a Garret at level 8 granted. But is it a way that can make it from bad to gimmick bad. So the criteria generally is:
- must be an effect monster
- the effect has a summoning restriction or is a net negative
- can't be special summoned through any means but the summoning restriction
- must have above 1500 attack if level 5 or above so it can't be cheated by Mystic Tomato.
DuelLogs will never run out of content. You can make a video each about best/worst level 1-12 monsters in yugioh
Best level 1 is probably Magical Scientist.
I think there are over 10,000 cards in the game, not including alternate card art. Though many have similar effects in a vacuum except with "works with this archetype instead of that archetype" there's always something to talk about when it comes to certain sets, and sometimes lists can change over time. like "Yeah back then this card was awful and unplayable, but Konami updated the banlist and now you can FINALLY play this card and it's actually pretty good thanks to modern support." or like "This card USED to be awful, but pendulums made it so much easier to put on the field, it's actually worth playing in a good pendulum deck." Hence a stronger emphasis on the summoning restrictions lately. cards locked into the past that will never be unlocked because you simply can't play them without choosing to use a rock club with rope over a chain mace.
on april's fools he should release a best level 13 monsters in yugioh and worst level 13 monsters in yugioh.
*nerd voice while tweaking glasses* : ehm actually Trap hole won't work on elemental hero tempest because it only works on normal and flip summons special summons 😅
Bottomless trap hole then xD
3:46 Idea for a Chaos Goddess retrain to make it more convenient, BUT rewarding players for using specific materials:
_Chaos Divinity_ (DARK)
Level 8
Fairy/Synchro/Tuner/Effect
1+ Tuner Monsters + 1+ Non-Tuner Monsters
_While face-up on the field, this card is also LIGHT-Attribute. If this card was Synchro Summoned using a LIGHT Material; You can Special Summon 1 Level 5 or Higher LIGHT Monster from your GY or Banishment. If this card was Synchro Summoned using a DARK Material; You can Special Summon 1 Level 5 or Higher DARK Monster from your GY or Banishment. You can Send 1 Level 5 or Higher LIGHT or DARK Monster you control to the GY; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or Lower LIGHT or Dark Monster from your Hand. Monsters Summoned by this card cannot be Tributed or used as Material._
ATK/2500 DEF/1800
Hell yeah! Pretty woman!!
Thanks a lot for your videos, you have a pretty relaxing voice that helps me fall asleep every time
Actually, Chaos Goddess was not the first Synchro to require specific kinds of monsters as material. Avenging Knight Parshath was released with the first Synchros in The Duelist Genesis and it took 1 tuner + 1 or more non-tuner Light monsters.
She’s the first to predetermine what type of tuner she requires
Weird, huh?
I LOVE THESE VIDEOS (and I'm just a casual Duel Links player these days, so that says something). You do great work my man
It's funny because Mirage Knight in the Yu-Gi-Oh GBA games : Sacred Stories and Reshef of Destruction, Mirage Knight was INFINITELY stronger because whenever it entered the grave you get to special summon Dark Magican and Flame Swordsman for free.
I never noticed that X was just, holding Z's treads as arms. Not even attached, that man is gripping as hard as he can, do make them look as cool as possible.
A good side note for Elemental hero tempest is that is a decent target for E Hero Grand Merge effect, not the best but if you wanna go for it you can
I really want a Chaos Godess retrain, maybe with a Duality-like effect and Chaos Angle like summon condition
TDL: "Top 10 worst-"

8:20 Ideas to Retrain this card and the Fusion Monster needed to bring it out:
_Blue Flare Dark Knight_ (DARK)
Level 6
Warrior/Fusion/Effect
1+ “Flame Swordsman” Monsters + 1+ “Dark Magician” Monsters
_This card is always also FIRE-Attribute. You take no battle damage from battles involving this card. If you would take any effect damage, you can lower this cards ATK or DEF (Your choice) by an equal amount instead. If this card’s ATK or DEF become 0 by this effect, banish it. This card gains ATK/DEF equal to any battle/effect damage you inflict on your opponent. If your opponent destroys this card by battle or card effect, or if this card is banished by its own effect(s): You can special summon 1 level 8 LIGHT, DARK, or FIRE monster from your hand, deck or GY, ignoring its summoning conditions, but it’s banished at the end of the turn._
ATK/2200 DEF/800
_Mirage Knight of the Glassed Desert_ (FIRE)
Level 8
Warrior/Effect
_Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned by the effects of a Fusion Monster. While in the hand, Deck, GY, or on the field, this card is also LIGHT-Attribute. Can attack all Monsters your Opponent controls, once each. During damage calculation only, this card gains ATK equal to the original Total ATK/DEF of the opponent's monster it is battling. During the End Phase of a turn this card attacked or was attacked: Banish this card. You can pay half your LP, then take this Banished card (Quick Effect); Either Add it to your Hand, Shuffle it into your Deck or Send it to your GY._

Top 10 best sea serpents.
Top 10 best low level monsters that can’t be normal summoned.
Top 10 best support cards specifically mention a monster type
Aww man, I love Tyrant Burst Dragon.
Sadly, it was used to boost up Blue-Eyes who stole the show.
YOU would
Water dragon was my favorite card when I was younger, I didn't even know how to read in English back then and just thought the card look cool
Javelin Beetle may be no good, but it's cool as he|| looking and has the OG Yugioh feel to it! Still a winner in my book!
I think the Metal Monsters should've kept the ATK increase during battle
I remember getting Zoa, Metalzoa, and Goblin Fan from the Falsebound Kingdom promo (great game by the way, everyone should play it). Soon as I saw what Metalmorph does, I wondered why even equip Zoa or Red-Eyes with it, especially once Twin Sword Marauder came out
Quick corrections: it's Level 5 and above not above level 5 for one tribute and 7 and above needing 2 not 8 and above.
☝️🤓
@TheMightofDab it's not an "umm actually" the cost of cards to summoning a 5-6 and 7+ is HUGE. Imagine summoning a level 5 w/o tribute or a level 7 with only one. It's literally the whole core of cards of that level.
@@Brendanj101 ☝️🤓
@@Brendanj101 he makes these mistakes just so you comment btw, its a common social media engagement strategy, i'm sure he knows this as someone who has played any game of yugioh.

Quick fact for those who may have overlooked it but the Aleister in the show responsible for Orichi- something or other was a direct reference to Aleister Crowley and his unicursal hexagram of Thelema, the exact identical symbol. Yup yup 👍😊
I wont take this Javelin Beetle slander sitting down!
0:30 So if the Non-Effect Ritual Monster HUNGRY BURGER of all Monsters can get some modern support (WITHOUT even a personal retrain on top of that), then Javelin Beetle should get itself something:
_Javelin Scarab_ (EARTH)
Level 8
_Insect/Ritual/Flip/Effect_
_FLIP: Normal Set 1 EARTH or Insect Flip Monster from your Hand, Deck or GY._
_You can Ritual Summon this card with "Javelin Scarabs Pact". This card's name becomes "Javelin Beetle" while in the hand, Deck, GY, or on the field. If an Insect Monster you control attacks and destroys a Monster by battle, it can attack again in a row. If an Insect Monster you control attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage. If an Insect Monster you control destroys a Monster by battle: You can add 1 Insect Monster who’s Level is equal to or less than that Destroyed Monster’s Original Level/Rank/Link to your hand (From your Deck.)_
ATK/2550 DEF/2450
_Javelin Scarabs Pact_
Ritual Spell
_This card's name becomes "Javelin Beetle Pact" while in the hand, Deck, GY, or on the field. This card can be used to Ritual Summon (From your Hand or GY) “Javelin Beetle”, or, if you already control a Face-up “Javelin Beetle”, any number of EARTH or Insect Ritual Monsters, either face-up or in face-down Defense Position.. You must also pay LP equal to the Level of the Ritual Summoned monster(s) x500 (when this card resolves). During your End Phase: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; Ritual Summon 1 EARTH or Insect Ritual Monster from your Deck or Banishment. You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or field whose total Levels exactly equal the Level of the Ritual Monster you Ritual Summon._
-Why is it a Flip Monster? How are you getting it face-down?- EDIT: Ignore this comment. Leaving it for context at least.
@@hiimemily
THERE, made an adjustment to the Ritual Spell to allow for Facedown summoning. I took the idea from A: “Underworld Ritual of Prediction” existing, and B: “Krawlers” being a Flip focused Insect archetype.
Plus there hypothetically isn’t really a downside to a Monster being a FLIP, at least if it has regular effects on top of that.
Okay but: Javelin Beetle With A Gun
@@amorphousprimordia
I’d like to think with the effects it has, my retrain idea is just handing out Javelins to your other Insect Monsters, but they would work too.
I never realized the mirroring of the attributes of Gate Guardian and Tempest, that's pretty neat.
1:06 say that 5 times fast
No
I got to three times before I broke into a laughing fit.
I’m pretty sure I can’t even say it once
Cmiiw, but you can cheat chaos goddess using 1 or 2 spell that summon light monster with same lvl and type as target
I run vwxyz deck before , 😢 sadly when I'm came back to play this year I never thought it'd didn't have new support or remake cards : (
well now I'm playing cyber dragon deck and it's pretty good
One of my favorite things about Tempest was that it was one of the few regularly featured monsters with 3 materials from the anime.
I shouldn't have to say it but Trap Hole can't destroy EHero Tempest. Trap Hole destroys only normal and flip summons.
Smh!
Hero player here tempest is bad
@Bob12649 Since you cant be older than 10 I'll just encourage you to keep playing Hero and one day bring the deck to top positions.

I remember trying to make V-Z Dragon Catapult Cannon work with Dimension FIssure/Macro Cosmos. If only my younger self knew it wasn't worth the hassle and instead focus on XYZ instead.
Tyrant Burst Dragon also enabled Drill Barnacle 0TK in Duel Links
Cyber Dragon X
Level 6
LIGHT/Machine/Effect
2400/1600
This card cannot be Normal Summoned/Set.
If this card is equipped with "Max Metalmorph, it gains the following effect:
- Your opponent cannot activate trap cards and the effects of all trap cards are negated.
They wouldn’t do that not a Joey of bandit Keith card
@@Bob12649 I never said it was for either of them. And honestly, Cyber Dragons are about evolution. Metal Morph involves evolving something into a Machine. So what happens when it's used on a Machine?
At least you could summon mirage knight from your deck or hand. I hate cards that you can only summon from your deck
Okay, but Chaos Goddess is nowhere near the top 10 worst level 8s. It's too easy to summon to be that bad
Editor/writter bias: duellogs needs to start filtering bad scripts
Chaos Goddess is basically the worst level 8 synchro monster, and by quite a bit, and the fact that there are so many better level 8 synchros is what gives her the spot. She takes 3 materials that also need to be specific, has mediocre attack and her effect is situational and resource draining on top. Javelin Beetle is also easy to summon nowadays and just as bad.
I honestly agree with all of these cards. Especially Elemental Hero Tempest.
(I say legitimate because you could always duel the easy NPCs in Duel links or have an opponent purposefully play a weak deck just to pull it off, but I've had some Flying elephant tier wins against real opponents trying to win. a lucky brick or misplay was all it took).
he had a series like this a year or so ago, look it up.
Considering that we got a retrain of the XYZ series, I'm sure that we will see retrains of VW and VWXYZ. And who knows, maybe a new ultimate boss monster combining ABC-VWXYZ?
Honestly if the moths could be summoned when the petit moth is destroyed if enough turns have passed like the anime they might have been decentish
16:50 Oh that hurts. I loved this guy when I was a kid :(
Unpopular opinion here: I think the Vanilla Elemental heroes should be retrained as pendulum monsters.
Lol 🤣🤣🤣 you broke my funny bone when you said Goo goo ga ga giggitty lol 🤣🤣🤣
5:35 Idea to Retrain this card to make it a worthwhile Fusion for it’s stated materials:
_Elemental HERO Hurricane_ (WIND)
Level 8
Warrior/Fusion/Effect
_"Elemental HERO Avian" + "Elemental HERO Sparkman" + "Elemental HERO Bubbleman"_
_Must be Fusion Summoned. If this Fusion Summoned card you control would be Sent to the GY or Banished; Shuffle it into your Extra Deck instead. Face-up “HERO” Monsters you control cannot be Destroyed by battle. You can send 1 other Card from your Hand or Field to the GY; Apply 1 of,the following effects;_
_⚪️: Target 1 “HERO” Monster you control; During this turn, that target can attack a number of times equal to the number of monsters you control when this card resolves._
_⚪️: Target 1 Monster on the field; change the battle position of that target._
_⚪️: Immediately after this Effect Resolves; You can activate 1 Trap from your hand._
ATK/2800 DEF/2800
THERE, the summoning requirements are still as tricky as ever, BUT the Payoff should be more worthwhile. Passive Battle Protections, and the ability to spam reworked versions of its Materials “Signature Move” card effects.
At least you can cheat chaos goddess with any level 8 dark fairy using duality or shadow's light.
Or using the effect of one other Chaos synchro
@SheruMuko good point, almost forgot the archfiend has that effect.
Of course the first two vampires my man shows are Vamp and Sucker. Truly, a man of culture!
It isn't even that bad nowdays, it has a underwhelming effect but its much easier to summon nowdays
The bad restrictions Logs talk about are only bad at the time she was released, she got a load of whole chaos synchro support themed around her original version and its piss easy to summon nowdays, people just dont because again, her effect is pretty meh if you are playing competitively
Weak but nowhere near bad enough to land on a top 10 worst level 8s
Tyant burst dragon was funny in duellinks, By equipping it to a direct attacker that gains atk per attack.
I never made the Tempest and Gate Guardian connection. That's neat.
Cant believe you actually disrespected Gogiga Gagagigo like that
Will there be a HERO on the list?
Or how many?
Let's find out
the Mirage Knight concept could be a fun retrain as an extra deck card
I still think they would've fixed ALL ritual monsters by simply letting them go in the extra deck.
@MarioMastar I'm honestly shocked they kept them as main deck monsters after adding Synchros
Rituals always felt redundant, sure you can have extra summons with a ritual summon, but i wish ritual spell cards also had an effect, something.
Of course, #02 is on this list. It's one of Haga's monsters!
Can you do a video on the top 10 monsters that can attack more than twice

Is it good no, is is possible yes, is it for someone who likes to take bad cards and try to make it better yes that's about it.
Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth should be #1... it doesn't matter if its 2003 or 2024, waiting 6 turns for a 3500 beatstick is extremely bad
00:28 - 00:33: "I see what you did there!"
I actually have metalzoa from when we got the game and we never used in anything but the video game as it’s pretty strong as a base monster in the falsebound kingdom lol.
# 9 Maybe bad but interms of Cosplay Potential dammum 😅
The shame that Metalzoa etc could neither be special summoned from the deck nor had metalmorph’s battle effect😢
