A sleeveless top with RR on the neckline (as you did) would be very nice. Yes, Puffy sleeves were too much. And a straight skirt would have been lovely also. Enjoyed your video. I've made several things that didn't look as nice as planned but enjoyed the process.

I associate rick rack with children’s clothes. My grandmother and mom made a lot of out clothes in the ‘60’s and rick rack was a staple. In fact, I have gotten rid of most of my vintage packages of rick rack because I hadn’t seen myself ever using it…until now! Your skirt is so pretty. Most of my projects don’t look like I see them in my head! 😀

I think the skirt turned out great. It may have been the neon pink color with the rick rack that threw you. I agree with rachelel-yafi3210 that the top would be adorable with jeans or simple pants. The rick rack may work better on white? Or super large rick rack. Love the video! Big Hugs

I loved watching you create and getting to hear your thought process. The skirt turned out really cute. And I like how you styled it with the white top. I do think the rick rack top would be adorable on its own styled with jeans. That rick rack neckline was really really cute. Please consider finishing it :) ❤

I can relate to how you were feeling about rick rack. I never thought I would have it on my garments. Well I saw a dress on Pinterest and oh my goodness! It was so beautiful and I was sold. I will be making my version of that dress. I can’t wait. I enjoyed this video. Sometimes things don’t turn out how we envisioned them, but I agree with you always try to enjoy the process of creating. You made it work in the end 🪡🧵👗🥰

I love Rick Rack❤ maybe because I may be in my 60’s
I made my daughter a denim smock style dress in 1993 for her 1st day of preschool. I had fun adding bright red, yellow and green Rick rack trim, the Rick rac even swirled around in loops around the bottom and back. Very Playful ( sadly I lent it out and it wasn’t returned )
Have you tried braiding 2 pieces together for a color burst or to change the dimension of the trim?

I think I would like to have seen the Rick rack only on the top around the neck and at the waist only. No rick rack on the skirt. But your final project is cute
