    Great video. I didn’t think you were biased at all. Thanks to the comments of your dad, I will definitely purchase a Bronco. I had a jeep and remember the head bashing. The wheel lift be be there regardless but I think the ease of function and comfort you guy’s described is exactly what I’m looking to achieve. Thank you so much!!!

    Coming from a Jeep to a Bronco recently I would say your findings are spot on with what I've experienced too. I think both are great rigs but the Jeep is the better rig for serious wheeling and the Bronco is nicer to live with on a daily basis.

    Good information. I’ve owed just about every vehicle imaginable. Have driven jeeps and currently own a Bronco. They all have their ups and downs.

    I heard mention of engine breaking in 1st gear while going downhill in the Jeep. As somebody who just went through the Bronco Offroadeo this past weekend they actually taught us to switch the automatic transmission into manual and go down to first gear for hill descents to achieve the same thing. It kind of stays at a locked 1000rpm downhill while in 4L. Thought that was worth mentioning, if you haven't done the Offroadeo I recommend it, I actually learned a few things and I didn't think I would. Love these comparison videos.

    • @drivenmad2089
      @drivenmad2089  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      He was more meaning the aggressiveness of 1st in the manual jeep. First gear in the auto jeep or bronco isn’t as aggressive in low range compared to the manual. 1st gear in the auto bronco feels more like the Jeeps 2nd gear.
      On a side note, I did do the bronco off-roadeo about 2 years ago 👍🏻

    I have been wanting an off-roader for a long time and have recently been looking at the Bronco vs a Jeep. We spent some time in my son's Rubicon and loved it, but as a not-a-small fella, my son's Rubicon is uncomfortable. I then set my sights on a 4 door Bronco and finally went out and checked them out. I found the 4 door Bronco's B piller to be poorly placed if I wanted to sit up straight while the 2 door Bronco was JUST RIGHT. So I am now jonesing for a ride EXACTLY like your 2 door Badlands :) (Velocity Blue is my preference as well so let me know if you decide to sell as I am also in TX). Thanks for the videos!

    I own a Bronco and have never owned a Jeep, so starting there I like how you guys definitely tried to call it down the middle.
    It was a good video side by side to show how driving very different vehicles will require fairly different techniques.

      Yeah I try to be as honest and fair as possible when comparing stuff cause that’s what I expect from other people when reviewing things haha not just saying something is better just because “X” company did something for that individual so they’ll be a little biased. I’m a car enthusiast, not a brand enthusiast haha
      Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching!

    Front view is everything. My Ranger has that low nose, easy to view compared to the newer Ridgeline. Our Jeeps were nice, love the short wheelbase, but I kind of expected the view to be cleaner on the Bronco and it's not. I'll have to go check it out one of these days.
    Also yes, those turbo's give that nice little boost in the altitude. Nice Video!

    Got a 2-door 2023 Badlands on order and drive a 2-door 2020 Wrangler Rubicon. ESS quit 1 or 2 years ago, but wasn't bothered by it. However, have read or heard about failed ESS preceding Aux battery sudden death, followed by not being able to start their Jeep. Have an appointment for my ESS at a local Jeep dealership in the morning. I like roaming across remote desert trails where I want my engine to always start reliably. Other then that, no other issues with my Jeep. Hope to get my Bronco sooner than in 2 years as many have reported waiting.

    Rubicon is so well planted. This is where it looks, as your dad said, more natural. Bronco is between a 4Runner and a Rubicon, being better than a 4Runner on-road, but not as good as the Rubicon off-road.

    I think the issue with the bronco wasn't as much a lack of articulation as it was a significantly worse traction control system. Every time it 3 wheeled it went full open diff with 0 tc. The wrangler when you had it in just 4 low had way better brake lock tc so when it 3 wheeled or was spinning tire it had plenty enough torque to send the power to the wheel on the ground. I can't believe how bad the bld oh the bronco is for such a marketed dedicated off roader.

    Love them both, just out of the box, the Bronco already has 35's with a manual (I ordered later than you) and it's got just a bit more size to fit everything inside. The size, better manual transmission, and washout interior (it's working well so far) was the difference for me compared to the JL. I'm going to be on mostly moderate trails too, so great comp, nice spot there. Again, everything being equal it's 392 > 2 Door Bronco > 4 Door JL > 2 Door JL > Bronco Raptor >>>>>>4 Door Bronco.

    • @drivenmad2089
      @drivenmad2089  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good points. Definitely agree that it’s nice to have 35’s from the factory! don’t understand Jeeps lack of that on the 2 door. And having the extra space and better ride is nice!
      Thanks for watching

    • @user-dw1ls3rp1l
      @user-dw1ls3rp1l 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Word is the 392s like to overheat, and for almost any off roading scenario, that much power is unnecessary, and in some cases destructive. Too much torque will snap axles and u-joints in locations you don't wanna be broken down in.

    When on this type of terrain, is it better to wait until you get stuck before locking the diff(s)?

    • @drivenmad2089
      @drivenmad2089  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you leave your diffs locked along the entire trail, you’ll put way too much stress on the components as well as not have the same maneuverability. Some obstacles, you might think you can do it with out them, then you go to hit them, and turns out you might need to lock the diff. Other obstacles you’ll know to start out with at least one or both locked. Unless I see that the obstacle or section of trail I’m about to hit is very difficult, ex. Steep, un even, cause a lot of articulation, I leave them off until needed. Hope that helps.

    • @drivenmad2089
      @drivenmad2089  ปีที่แล้ว

      Woah buddy, relax. First of all it’s just fun, second of all, having a wheel go in there when going up hill usually meant needing to engage a locker vs not. So yes, it does effect the off-road performance. Same as if some one isn’t use to off-roading, it would be very un settling to them having the vehicle teeter back and forth More often. it’s worth pointing out the difference when comparing the 2 off-road, which was the entire point of the video haha

  • @SpaceTech54
    @SpaceTech54 ปีที่แล้ว

    Your Wheel count is bogus - the Jeep is doing the climb at half the speed of the Bronco.. You keep taking the Bronco in and out of dif-lock - and never showing the jeep being taken out of lock. Clearly the Bronco is doing a better job - as it's speed of climb is easily 50% more than the Jeep.. owning more doesn't mean the presentation isn't biased.
