@@shanewazhereshortly after I installed this unit the fuse on the remote start blew and I had to pull my car apart again to replace. Now again, it is not working. I believe it's the fuse again. Have you had this issue? I hate having to pull all these dash pieces off again.
@@koondog2000 I have not had the fuse blow on me at all. I would check that your wires haven’t rubbed on anything, exposing the wire and it touching it to metal. For example the steering column when it moves in and out or perhaps a different wire somewhere else that is connected to the remote start down the line.
This video is fantastic, thanks! I have a 2010 RX 450h. Is there any difference on installing a remote start between 450h and 350 or are those the same?
I bought my unit and installed it today follow you video step by steps EXCELLENT JOB YOU HAVE DONE. Everything works in first shot also it save me not to remove the steering column cover and manage. It was very easy. Now I need to do it on my Lexus 2011 LX 570. So far found Zero TH-cam video!
Thanks for the video, very helpful…I noticed you also have a dial controller in place of the joystick for the infotainment. Do you plan on doing a tutorial on how to install that? If not, where did you get that from and how do you like it?
That is actually stock on my vehicle! Unfortunately, I do not have the navigation package on this vehicle, the joystick is only for the navigation package.
Thank you for this very helpful video! I just installed my remote start and it works perfectly! One question, after you initiate the remote start and enter the vehicle, my Lexus shuts off normally but there is a "turn off lights" warning that flashes then disappears. The car functions normally but I was just wondering if you had that warning light too?
Their website mentions that the car will shut off when you open the door. Does this happen on your RX? I have a 2014 and this plug/play system looks like perfect for what we need.
Yes, it does. It's a security feature on all Toyota/Lexus vehicles. I don't mind it. It still heats/cools your car, you just have to start it up again.
I'm pretty sure it would be, there are mainly just engine and tuning differences between the F-sport and non-F-Sport. According to this website, it doesn't matter. www.autopartskart.com/lexus-rx350-2015/power-liftgate-actuator.html
@@Johnny-wo7rc perhaps some folks paid for an upgrade at the dealership for it when they bought it new, but it doesn’t come standard on these unfortunately.

I watched this video before installing mine and it made the job much much easier than it would have been. Great job very informative.
Thanks!
Thank you Shane for this video. I successfully installed mine in under an hour thanks to you. The 12 volt solutions video was almost worthless.
Glad it helped! Yeah, the 12 Volt Solutions needed to show a lot more detail to be useful.

Yes! Actually, I HAVE seen that. I’m pretty sure it’s normal, but it’s slightly alarming to see. No issues thus far though.

I’d recommend starting with going through the programming steps again.
I'm Gonna Install Mine At Home
Thanks for sharing, do you think this will work for Lexus 2008, rx 350 ?
This remote start is only compatible with 2010 - 2015 RX350's. The company doesn't even have a compatible one for that year. Maybe another brand? MPC?
@@shanewazhere thank you!
Do you have any problem after installing it?
Nope! Used the feature the other day. Works as it should.
Do u think it’ll work for a 2012 ES 350
Perhaps! I can't say for sure. I'm sure it's similar.

How long would it take to finish the installation? Thanks
Probably an hour or so if you have all the supplies.
Thanks
This can work on Lexus rx 330 2005?
Unfortunately it will not work for that vehicle. At least from the company I bought this from.

@shanewazhere that's a hidden feature they don't tell you about certain model cones with.

What's the hood pin? No.
Goes through data
Whats the range on the remote start??
The same as the keyfob, I would guess about 6 or more car lengths away.
