Exactly. What kind of arch or rudemption was that? I really wanted to have more Scarlet, and she was almost invisible until her last episode. What rudemption had Serena ChaCha? I'm not a fan of hers, but I felt bad everyone treated her the way they did. On the other hand, Pandora Boxx was pushed through the season until they couldnt forced her story more.

Although when she was cocky, she lived up to it, like in the acting challenge when she won. But the only person that didn’t really like scarlet was brooke im pretty sure!

It wasn't the edit playing tricks on us to make us think those girls didn't like her. This is what the OP said, so I was responding to that point alone. The one most disappointing thing is the expose' All Stars 7 had with the fandom. This fandom has a drama problem, and the famously lacking of drama season was a little underwhelming. Negative critiques aren't bad for existing, as you always want something to work off of. (See Daya Betty just not wanting to be safe to get some critiques.) Since they made everything seem "perfect", there was no drama because they all needed to look great. The problem is, the community is so thirsty for drama then acts like its absurd at the same time. They want someone like Daya Betty, then tear her apart and send her death threats for giving what they want. Its a cake-and-eat-it-too situation that is honestly sad because it always has to be these extremes.
i think it’s just that it felt disingenuous to see imperfection b given perfect critiques each week. it is unfortunate that production felt this was necessary to quell the fans but it just creates such cognitive dissonance that it makes the season feel disingenuous as a whole
I'm embarrassed to admit that All Stars 7 is my favorite season, because there wasn't the drama or overtly cruel critiques that make for "good tv." I guess I like drag more than I like reality tv, so I was really sad to see that most of the fandom hated the season, and that all the queens have intimated that they had a monstrous time filming - and we just didn't see it.
Dude.....the fandom is so toxic that in a season full of no drama and all love, they still managed to find it and find a way to send death threats and all....just this time....to violet and gotmik, for saying their opinion....on a show where they are asked to give their opinion. This fandom sucks ass man, truly. No wonder so many queens are traumatised, no wonder even fan facts like Katya are scared of the fandom, and no wonder why....this fandom is infamous. God help us.

The three things that would’ve made this season perfect for me: No riggory (I know this will never happen but I can still dream), Manila Luzon getting a different lip sync song (very small critique I know) and the “whoever is not in the top is in the bottom twist” being removed permanently (seriously it sucks)
@@RNCHFND No not Ginger. They gave her a win that didn’t make sense since her team was in the bottom & she racked 30k off one lipsync so it automatically felt weird like she was being favored and thats never a hood set up for a winner.
All great suggestions. I wish some campier or funnier songs (like how "We Like To Party" on UKvTW or "Old Macdonald" from AS7). And the "not on top = bottom" twist is super unfair because it discredits queens who did well in challenges but didn't win. Maybe we'll see this stuff in S15 or UK4!
I was so mad that Scarlet didn't get her dues in terms of top placements in AS6. But at least she skyrocketed into the mainstream with her viral "Am I the DRAMA?" clip. 😏
Still devastated for my TKB being robbed QwQ and the fact Silky didn't get to come, like it was obvious she wouldn't have won but it would have been really nice and refreshing seeing her in the top 4
That's really interesting that you feel Ginger was edited to be in the wrong by sending Jiggly home. I felt like they were saying she made a hard decision to send her friend home, but that she put integrity over her friendships.
I honestly felt bad for Ginger. She was so excited to show her runway looks this season. While some of her looks were off, some of them were really good. That purple gown, the one she made for drag tots, and her finale runway look were some of my absolute favorites.
Ra'Jah rudepmtion is my favorite thing that happen on Drag Race. This queen is SO talent and deserved so much more than that shit edit on S11. "And if someone makes fun of you for being off-beat, you just tell them 'Baby, you can't hear my song'"

I feel like in addition to Scarlet being sidelined, she was also used as a device to aid in Rajah’s redemption arc, letting the viewers see (in Untucked) that they have reconciled after the events of Season 11.
I just know that they got Scarlet there to be part of Rajah's redemption storyline, since Rajah was basically Scarlet's villain in S11 they wanted Rajah to have a good reception with the fandom so showing that she a Scarlet are friends now they got it, once they got what they needed they booted Scarlet
Honestly i think its because shes competed so many times and never won. Also i guess minj is predictable, we all know shes funny but has terrible runways and there wasn’t much improvement.

She lacks one thing which is kind of a big requirement for a fan fav. Genuineness, she is so planned, and perfected in her drag that it feels not genuine. Bob said it best, that the challenge about telling a genuine story, she doesn't believe a word that's coming from her mouth. Even winners like violet and aquaria who are sometimes shown as bitchy and cold...they are genuine in their fierceness and in their unique way. No one likes disingenuous people....I mean...look at Olivia lux 👀. So yeah....ginger needs to step her runways up, be more versatile, be genuine and vulnerable if she wants to win. But idk if she is coming back after this third time.
The issues I have with as6 is we didn’t get much work room showing, so it would go straight to the main challenge, that’s what I enjoy the interaction in the work room such like uk s1&2 shows so much of the personality but as6 didn’t show much but I still enjoy it
I’m so happy everyone’s raving about AS6! This was one of the first seasons of Drag Race I saw and it was just so good and so fun and Silky’s redemption is literally one of my highlights this season. Plus- The lip syncs were just so PERFECT!
1) SO here for this collaboration. 2) I've seen people say that AS6 was successful because it seems like a true celebration of drag/Drag Race and redeemed everyone (except for Serena 😅 jk). There's a cast of diverse queens with varying styles, diverse guest stars and judges, familiar and new challenges, and a fun twist. The drama felt natural and not manufactured. AS6 exemplifies showing growth. People were brought back who we didn't expect to see, excelled in ways we didn't know that they could, and were redeemed from their original narratives.
I enjoyed AS6 a lot. But there were a few things that messed it up for me; while many queens were offered a redemption storyline, they seemed to have no idea what to do with A'keria and Scarlet. I am not sure about Jan (she did give them all the material they needed for that storyline). Plus some of the placement choices were just weird for me.
I hate that they (the judges and the production) fucked up with Jan's confidence. "You're too loud, tone it down." "I didn't notice you, turn it up." 🙄
For me, Kylie Sonique's comeback was when she performed with the House of Edwards during the season finale opening looking like a Greek goddess and leaving both the audience in the theater and the audience at home fully gagged.
Didn’t bussy come for Nina and she said it in a Rawview that she then called her out for transphobic remarks and jokes Bussy made since she decide to jump on trashing Nina. From what I remember bussy went silent for a while and didn’t post then came back like nothing happened… yet the fan base seemed to be asleep for that lol
The rawview was from last month the drama happens almost a year ago tho and I remember it when it did happen. And if y out went to bussy’s twitter they deleted tweets about 70 plus of them when they went “silent” then came back
Jan won that lipsync against silky and the only reason silky was given the win was because of the storyline and I will die on this hill. With that said, silky barbie girl lipsync was one of the best momentos of the whole show, i laughed so hard.
I think they could’ve just portrayed Pandora as a quippy funny queen with one liners here and there. She didn’t need a whole arc as there isn’t really much to work with there but the fact she makes it to top 6 means they had to feature her in some way, but they just didn’t.
all stars 6 is the only all-stars season i tuned into live, and i am SO happy that i did! all-stars 6 is truly one of my favorite seasons for the great challenges, great lip syncs, great drama, and the stellar cast!
Personal opinion, the only thing making this season better would have been a Ra’jah win. I love Kylie and she absolutely was redeemed ten fold. Ra’jah dominated. And silky coming back in place of Eureka. It made the lipsync twist kinda pointless. AND THE LIPSYNC TWIST SHOULDVE BEEN AT THE FINAL 6!! Those are the only few things I can think of.
plus the lowkey favouritism of Ginger Minj at some points, I get why they did it cuz Ginger is an AS2 girlie but it just kinda got annoying at some points
You were right on the monet about Scarlet. She is my fave of the cast and was so excited to see her slay. But not only was she overlooked by the judges but like you said the producers didn’t bother to capitalize on all the storylines she came into the season with. Why cast her if you’re not going to do literally anything with her? Such a waste of a star
She and A'Keria brought some of the most visually beautiful pieces to the AS6 runway and it counted for nada 😭 The mistreatment of those two, Pandora and Jan ruined AS6 for me and the "token winner" was the atom bomb that finished it off... -___-
I absolutely loved this season and hands down the best season of all stars. I think what made it so special was the casting in general, it had queens who the fandom didn’t much care about on their original seasons (Silky, Ra’jah, Eureka and Jiggly) receive positive edits/storylines. It gave us the show’s first Transgender winner Kylie and Silky got a full lip sync redemption, it was a very rewatchable season overall.
My favorite of all time is season 5, it was the one that dragged me in into the artform of drag to begin with. So many amazing characters and genuine talent. Alyssa herself had more personality than any character I'd seen on any media at that point.
I have a big soft spot for this season. I remmeber being sooo excited for it in early/mid 2021 , and watching the hour or so long entrance/meet the queens bit here on TH-cam alllll the time up until the premiere lol. Then it started and it was fabulous all the way through.
When you say that Ginger didn't redeem her looks, that seems a little harsh to me. I do agree the narrative given to us by the edit shows more growth from Kylie, Ra’Jah and Eureka compared to Ginger but I honestly think that Ginger did redeem her looks. Okay, they’re a little shaky the first half of the season (entrance and rudemption) but then she gets it in gear and serves some safe or really stellar looks. For a queen who couldn't sew on her original season, the outfit she made for drag tots gagged me. I loved her fashion fail look and her finale runway was stunning - honestly the best one there with Eureka as a close second. Kylie and Ra’Jah’s finale runways were a little lackluster for me. Still, it did feel like it was her game to lose but I feel like she did redeem her looks as well as her AS2 flop. And come on, who doesn't love the Phone lip sync?! 💅🐸

Eureka might have the greatest track record in the history of the show. Of her 3 seasons, she never lost a lip sync, she made the finale twice, and her only 2 times being 'eliminated' are when she was safe but had to leave for medical reasons and when she lost and then won the Rudemption lip sync to return. She has also never 'tanked' a challenge or done terribly in any episode, aside from some drama in her first 2 seasons. She also has the added accomplishment of both assassinating her own character and then completely reviving it to come off looking better than ever.
what made me love as6 is i had NO idea who was gonna win. AS7, AS5 and basically every normal DR season we know who is gonna win. Realistically it could’ve been any of them (not eureka lol) but it was between Rajah and Kylie, both would’ve been completely justified winning. Just a thought
My favorite season is 12! I think because they had to edit out the storyline frontrunner we got a more raw and real season of drag race. Also, Jaida rules.
What I love about Ra’jah’s redemption is she just came in and says “I’m changed.” It wasn’t a whole big thing…. So I guess people do just *get* a redemption Rupaul!
I rewatched AS6 yesterday and I have to say, I still love it. I found myself feeling excited and rooting for the girls as if I didn’t watch it in the first place. So good. 🧡
The season definitely has its flaws and riggory, but it’s definitely at the top for me. AS2 and AS7 are close, but the Rolaskatox favoritism in AS2 and the whole finale fiasco in AS7 hit them hard.
It wasn't the perfect season, because the choice of the winner (and some finalists) was a bit suspicious. Like Kylie deserved the win, but she was there with just one questionable win and being mostly in the middle of the pack whole season. Also, Trinity should have been in the finale instead of Ginger or Eureka, who both got into the Top 4 before and would not win anyway.
The one thing that would have topped off this season for me would be Rajah winning. Because NOBODY would have seen it from the beginning, it would be justified track-wise, and it’d be the first ever “hated to loved” drag winner redemption.
As good and entertaining as AS6 was with all its redemption story arcs, for me it was FAR from perfect. Some queens were completely overlooked (Scarlett, A'keria, Pandora), questionable judging decisions (Kylie did not deserve to win the Coven Girls challenge, sorry not sorry), the gaslighting of Jan ("Stop being fake, we want you to be yourself! No, not like that), and ultimately... Ra'jah should've won. There, I said it. Nothing against Kylie, she did the damn thing, but come on now, that crown belonged to Ra'jah.
I love almost everyone on this season. If there will ever be a legends season, I'd love to see more of TKB, Yara Sofia and Scarlet. Can't get enough of them
Almost everyone on this season was absolutely fun to watch, even Serena was a pleasure to see. I went into the season fully ready to hate the edits they'll give to Silky but honestly, I'm glad I was wrong because I really her now. But as much as AS6 is amazing, my favorite season will forever be Season 9. I LOOOOOOOOOVED everything about it.

That season was awful. It was so rigged for Alaska snd the lipsync choices were do wrong going in her favor. It was frustrating to watch. Especially for phi phi and katya and alyssa just annoying asf. Definitely set the tone and cant be forgotten but is far for the best they definitely didn’t perfect it then
Great video Drag Detective & JackFed!! This is actually my all-time FAVORITE All-Stars seasons. I was so entrenched into this season because of the cast alone. There were great story arcs (Yara vs. Cast, Serena, Akeria), rudemptions (Trinity, Silky, Ra’Jah) & twists (LSAs, LS Smackdown). The ONE change I would’ve liked to have seen is a double crowning of Kylie & Ra’Jah as they BOTH slayed that season. I personally liked AS7 because even though it was HEAVILY edited & OVERLY produced to put the queens in a positive light so to not tarnish their winner status. Unfortunately for production, the problem is that they held off on the drama till the VERY end which left a really bitter taste in people’s mouths. I find it ironic that the AS7 reunion got canceled because there was a LOT that happened BEHIND the scenes that we’ve heard bits & pieces of but now we can’t get the FULL story. I’m glad that it was still a great season because the AS formula was still there (Raja’s arc, ICONIC Snatch Game, The Twinner Alliance, the “Platinum Plunger” twist, Shea’s “arc”, Jinkx’s domination, Viv’s “international arc”, that BS 3⭐️variety show & yes, THAT finale to name a few). If nothing else, the negative critiques should’ve been kept in to see a bit of that drama that we missed. I love BOTH your channels and hope to see more collabs like this. And what about Ginger, who had the best track record? Eureka was already ruled out for being a returnee - so a double crowning would be a slap in the face to Ginger who'd consistently done better. And Kylie won the final lip sync - and did overall better in the competition than Ra'jah even if Ra'jah had the best story.

@@dylantd9189 the last lipsync does not matter, same thing with track record (sadly, this is the fairest way) and performance in the last challenge, what matters in modern drag race is representation and whoever Ru/fandom likes the most. Monét won the last lipsync both times, Kennedy won the last lipsync against Trixie, Jujubee won the last lipsync against Shea, Kitty did better than Krystal in the challenge, Divina did better in the challenge compared to Vivienne, Bimini won both the last lipsync and the remix but Trixie, Lawrence, Vivienne, Trinity, Shea and Jinkx won over them and why? Representation and whoever Ru likes the most. No hate to any of these queens (Viv was the rightful winner) and they arent less deserving of the crown but lets call it what it is, they only won over these queens bcs of representation and bcs Ru liked them more and admiting that does not mean the winner didnt deserve it.

I agree. I thought he was quite harsh to Ginger here. Made her seem very shady and that she didn't redeem anything. Disagree with that completely. She was much more mature and sure of herself than she was in Season 7 but just as fierce a competitor as she was then which she lacked going into AS2 and that was part of her undoing. Felt like she also redeemed a lot of her runways which he says she didn’t. Some shaky ones sure but some shoots as well; just watch Fashion Photo Ruview. I thought she did great this season and was my pick for the crown. Happy for Kylie though 🙂
I was sad when Silky fell out so early, but her lip sync redemption was one of my all time favorite episodes AND helped her win favor with a lot of people who were pretty nasty to her on her first time on the show
idk how people can say all stars 7 was lackluster AT ALL everyone killed it and it was high time jinkx came back to remind everyone why she is one of the best of all time.
I think a big part of my resistance to liking All Stars 6 as much as everyone else is that the queens I was rooting for going in were Serena, Jan, and Pandora and none of them had a treatment that made me happy coming out of the season.
Y'all saying they gave perfect lip sync songs when they gave Manilla Dirty and Kameron Michaels Boom Clap... Like you can praise a lot of things about this season but this was not it lmao. Also, I still don't forgive the show for pulling the lip sync smackdown so late in the season and doing that to Trinity. She deserved a spot in that final four.
I find it interesting that so many people are obsessed with AS6, because the tops and bottoms of every week are just so fabricated, I almost find it hard to enjoy as much. The runways and challenges may be great, but the way most of the wins barely make sense really just rubs me the wrong way.
I hope for all stars 8 they continue doing rag tag random casts like this. I think that one of the BIGGEST pitfalls of AS2 is that there were so many legendary queens in the cast that there was very little room for storylines other than fighting, and because everyone has such strong fanbases and did quite well on their original seasons, the entire competition (and discussion around it) just turns into a cat fight over who deserves it the most. It's not fun.

TKB's elimination was so tough because I believe she should have 100% won that episode but she was also the clear weak link in terms of track record.

The three things that would’ve made this season perfect for me: No riggory (I know this will never happen but I can still dream), Manila Luzon getting a different lip sync song (very small critique I know) and the “whoever is not in the top is in the bottom twist” being removed permanently (seriously it sucks)

All great suggestions. I wish some campier or funnier songs (like how "We Like To Party" on UKvTW or "Old Macdonald" from AS7). And the "not on top = bottom" twist is super unfair because it discredits queens who did well in challenges but didn't win. Maybe we'll see this stuff in S15 or UK4!

That's really interesting that you feel Ginger was edited to be in the wrong by sending Jiggly home. I felt like they were saying she made a hard decision to send her friend home, but that she put integrity over her friendships.
I honestly felt bad for Ginger. She was so excited to show her runway looks this season. While some of her looks were off, some of them were really good. That purple gown, the one she made for drag tots, and her finale runway look were some of my absolute favorites.
Oh they were very good. I also loved that pattern safari outfit.
What spoilt it for me was kicking out T.K.B from the top 4,it felt mean and unjustified. I’m not a big fan of any queen but that seemed wrong!
Ra'Jah rudepmtion is my favorite thing that happen on Drag Race. This queen is SO talent and deserved so much more than that shit edit on S11.

I feel like in addition to Scarlet being sidelined, she was also used as a device to aid in Rajah’s redemption arc, letting the viewers see (in Untucked) that they have reconciled after the events of Season 11.
I just know that they got Scarlet there to be part of Rajah's redemption storyline, since Rajah was basically Scarlet's villain in S11 they wanted Rajah to have a good reception with the fandom so showing that she a Scarlet are friends now they got it, once they got what they needed they booted Scarlet

Honestly i think its because shes competed so many times and never won. Also i guess minj is predictable, we all know shes funny but has terrible runways and there wasn’t much improvement.

She lacks one thing which is kind of a big requirement for a fan fav. Genuineness, she is so planned, and perfected in her drag that it feels not genuine. Bob said it best, that the challenge about telling a genuine story, she doesn't believe a word that's coming from her mouth.
Even winners like violet and aquaria who are sometimes shown as bitchy and cold...they are genuine in their fierceness and in their unique way. No one likes disingenuous people....I mean...look at Olivia lux 👀. So yeah....ginger needs to step her runways up, be more versatile, be genuine and vulnerable if she wants to win. But idk if she is coming back after this third time.

The issues I have with as6 is we didn’t get much work room showing, so it would go straight to the main challenge, that’s what I enjoy the interaction in the work room such like uk s1&2 shows so much of the personality but as6 didn’t show much but I still enjoy it

2) I've seen people say that AS6 was successful because it seems like a true celebration of drag/Drag Race and redeemed everyone (except for Serena 😅 jk). There's a cast of diverse queens with varying styles, diverse guest stars and judges, familiar and new challenges, and a fun twist. The drama felt natural and not manufactured. AS6 exemplifies showing growth. People were brought back who we didn't expect to see, excelled in ways we didn't know that they could, and were redeemed from their original narratives.

I enjoyed AS6 a lot. But there were a few things that messed it up for me; while many queens were offered a redemption storyline, they seemed to have no idea what to do with A'keria and Scarlet. I am not sure about Jan (she did give them all the material they needed for that storyline). Plus some of the placement choices were just weird for me.
I hate that they (the judges and the production) fucked up with Jan's confidence. "You're too loud, tone it down." "I didn't notice you, turn it up." 🙄
For me, Kylie Sonique's comeback was when she performed with the House of Edwards during the season finale opening looking like a Greek goddess and leaving both the audience in the theater and the audience at home fully gagged.

Jan won that lipsync against silky and the only reason silky was given the win was because of the storyline and I will die on this hill. With that said, silky barbie girl lipsync was one of the best momentos of the whole show, i laughed so hard.
I think they could’ve just portrayed Pandora as a quippy funny queen with one liners here and there. She didn’t need a whole arc as there isn’t really much to work with there but the fact she makes it to top 6 means they had to feature her in some way, but they just didn’t.
all stars 6 is the only all-stars season i tuned into live, and i am SO happy that i did! all-stars 6 is truly one of my favorite seasons for the great challenges, great lip syncs, great drama, and the stellar cast!

Personal opinion, the only thing making this season better would have been a Ra’jah win. I love Kylie and she absolutely was redeemed ten fold. Ra’jah dominated. And silky coming back in place of Eureka. It made the lipsync twist kinda pointless. AND THE LIPSYNC TWIST SHOULDVE BEEN AT THE FINAL 6!! Those are the only few things I can think of.
And Trinity not getting screwed by the “not in the top-in the bottom” twist because she did so well that week.
plus the lowkey favouritism of Ginger Minj at some points, I get why they did it cuz Ginger is an AS2 girlie but it just kinda got annoying at some points

She and A'Keria brought some of the most visually beautiful pieces to the AS6 runway and it counted for nada 😭 The mistreatment of those two, Pandora and Jan ruined AS6 for me and the "token winner" was the atom bomb that finished it off... -___-

I absolutely loved this season and hands down the best season of all stars. I think what made it so special was the casting in general, it had queens who the fandom didn’t much care about on their original seasons (Silky, Ra’jah, Eureka and Jiggly) receive positive edits/storylines. It gave us the show’s first Transgender winner Kylie and Silky got a full lip sync redemption, it was a very rewatchable season overall.
I still enjoyed Ginger tho... I knew she wouldn't win, but always be a force to be reckoned with... added some dynamite to the season...
My favorite of all time is season 5, it was the one that dragged me in into the artform of drag to begin with. So many amazing characters and genuine talent. Alyssa herself had more personality than any character I'd seen on any media at that point.
Cha-cha was so iconic she didn’t need a rudemption all she needed to do was just pop in and say hi and seal her legacy as an icon
I have a big soft spot for this season. I remmeber being sooo excited for it in early/mid 2021 , and watching the hour or so long entrance/meet the queens bit here on TH-cam alllll the time up until the premiere lol. Then it started and it was fabulous all the way through.
When you say that Ginger didn't redeem her looks, that seems a little harsh to me. I do agree the narrative given to us by the edit shows more growth from Kylie, Ra’Jah and Eureka compared to Ginger but I honestly think that Ginger did redeem her looks. Okay, they’re a little shaky the first half of the season (entrance and rudemption) but then she gets it in gear and serves some safe or really stellar looks. For a queen who couldn't sew on her original season, the outfit she made for drag tots gagged me. I loved her fashion fail look and her finale runway was stunning - honestly the best one there with Eureka as a close second. Kylie and Ra’Jah’s finale runways were a little lackluster for me. Still, it did feel like it was her game to lose but I feel like she did redeem her looks as well as her AS2 flop. And come on, who doesn't love the Phone lip sync?! 💅🐸

@@G-Hop226 honestly I kinda disagree I think the only time Ginger’s comedy actually worked for her in a lip sync was when she sent jaiden and trixie home on season 7. But to each their own
Eureka might have the greatest track record in the history of the show. Of her 3 seasons, she never lost a lip sync, she made the finale twice, and her only 2 times being 'eliminated' are when she was safe but had to leave for medical reasons and when she lost and then won the Rudemption lip sync to return. She has also never 'tanked' a challenge or done terribly in any episode, aside from some drama in her first 2 seasons. She also has the added accomplishment of both assassinating her own character and then completely reviving it to come off looking better than ever.
what made me love as6 is i had NO idea who was gonna win. AS7, AS5 and basically every normal DR season we know who is gonna win. Realistically it could’ve been any of them (not eureka lol) but it was between Rajah and Kylie, both would’ve been completely justified winning. Just a thought
My favorite season is 12! I think because they had to edit out the storyline frontrunner we got a more raw and real season of drag race. Also, Jaida rules.
The only part I disliked about AS6 was Scarlet Envy's elimination. It was just rotten, she did NOT deserve to be in the bottom that challenge.

I rewatched AS6 yesterday and I have to say, I still love it. I found myself feeling excited and rooting for the girls as if I didn’t watch it in the first place. So good. 🧡
The season definitely has its flaws and riggory, but it’s definitely at the top for me. AS2 and AS7 are close, but the Rolaskatox favoritism in AS2 and the whole finale fiasco in AS7 hit them hard.
I realized why I like JackFed so much. He sounds like a roller coaster TH-camr lmao and that’s a whole another side of me

I think my fave season is 8. It’s so fun, short, and rewatchable.
It wasn't the perfect season, because the choice of the winner (and some finalists) was a bit suspicious. Like Kylie deserved the win, but she was there with just one questionable win and being mostly in the middle of the pack whole season. Also, Trinity should have been in the finale instead of Ginger or Eureka, who both got into the Top 4 before and would not win anyway.

The one thing that would have topped off this season for me would be Rajah winning. Because NOBODY would have seen it from the beginning, it would be justified track-wise, and it’d be the first ever “hated to loved” drag winner redemption.
As good and entertaining as AS6 was with all its redemption story arcs, for me it was FAR from perfect. Some queens were completely overlooked (Scarlett, A'keria, Pandora), questionable judging decisions (Kylie did not deserve to win the Coven Girls challenge, sorry not sorry), the gaslighting of Jan ("Stop being fake, we want you to be yourself! No, not like that), and ultimately... Ra'jah should've won. There, I said it. Nothing against Kylie, she did the damn thing, but come on now, that crown belonged to Ra'jah.

Almost everyone on this season was absolutely fun to watch, even Serena was a pleasure to see. I went into the season fully ready to hate the edits they'll give to Silky but honestly, I'm glad I was wrong because I really her now.
But as much as AS6 is amazing, my favorite season will forever be Season 9. I LOOOOOOOOOVED everything about it.

That season was awful. It was so rigged for Alaska snd the lipsync choices were do wrong going in her favor. It was frustrating to watch. Especially for phi phi and katya and alyssa just annoying asf. Definitely set the tone and cant be forgotten but is far for the best they definitely didn’t perfect it then

Great video Drag Detective & JackFed!! This is actually my all-time FAVORITE All-Stars seasons. I was so entrenched into this season because of the cast alone. There were great story arcs (Yara vs. Cast, Serena, Akeria), rudemptions (Trinity, Silky, Ra’Jah) & twists (LSAs, LS Smackdown). The ONE change I would’ve liked to have seen is a double crowning of Kylie & Ra’Jah as they BOTH slayed that season. I personally liked AS7 because even though it was HEAVILY edited & OVERLY produced to put the queens in a positive light so to not tarnish their winner status. Unfortunately for production, the problem is that they held off on the drama till the VERY end which left a really bitter taste in people’s mouths. I find it ironic that the AS7 reunion got canceled because there was a LOT that happened BEHIND the scenes that we’ve heard bits & pieces of but now we can’t get the FULL story. I’m glad that it was still a great season because the AS formula was still there (Raja’s arc, ICONIC Snatch Game, The Twinner Alliance, the “Platinum Plunger” twist, Shea’s “arc”, Jinkx’s domination, Viv’s “international arc”, that BS 3⭐️variety show & yes, THAT finale to name a few). If nothing else, the negative critiques should’ve been kept in to see a bit of that drama that we missed. I love BOTH your channels and hope to see more collabs like this. Y’all should do one with Valery_vision as she is a legend in the ballroom scene & gives a VERY thorough reaction & review. And what about Ginger, who had the best track record? Eureka was already ruled out for being a returnee - so a double crowning would be a slap in the face to Ginger who'd consistently done better.
And Kylie won the final lip sync - and did overall better in the competition than Ra'jah even if Ra'jah had the best story.

@@dylantd9189 the last lipsync does not matter, same thing with track record (sadly, this is the fairest way) and performance in the last challenge, what matters in modern drag race is representation and whoever Ru/fandom likes the most. Monét won the last lipsync both times, Kennedy won the last lipsync against Trixie, Jujubee won the last lipsync against Shea, Kitty did better than Krystal in the challenge, Divina did better in the challenge compared to Vivienne, Bimini won both the last lipsync and the remix but Trixie, Lawrence, Vivienne, Trinity, Shea and Jinkx won over them and why? Representation and whoever Ru likes the most.
No hate to any of these queens (Viv was the rightful winner) and they arent less deserving of the crown but lets call it what it is, they only won over these queens bcs of representation and bcs Ru liked them more and admiting that does not mean the winner didnt deserve it.

I agree. I thought he was quite harsh to Ginger here. Made her seem very shady and that she didn't redeem anything. Disagree with that completely. She was much more mature and sure of herself than she was in Season 7 but just as fierce a competitor as she was then which she lacked going into AS2 and that was part of her undoing. Felt like she also redeemed a lot of her runways which he says she didn’t. Some shaky ones sure but some shoots as well; just watch Fashion Photo Ruview. I thought she did great this season and was my pick for the crown. Happy for Kylie though 🙂
I was sad when Silky fell out so early, but her lip sync redemption was one of my all time favorite episodes AND helped her win favor with a lot of people who were pretty nasty to her on her first time on the show

idk how people can say all stars 7 was lackluster AT ALL everyone killed it and it was high time jinkx came back to remind everyone why she is one of the best of all time.
I think a big part of my resistance to liking All Stars 6 as much as everyone else is that the queens I was rooting for going in were Serena, Jan, and Pandora and none of them had a treatment that made me happy coming out of the season.
All stars 6 and all stars 2 are the only all star seasons I’ve rewatched more than once. Just so so so good!
Y'all saying they gave perfect lip sync songs when they gave Manilla Dirty and Kameron Michaels Boom Clap... Like you can praise a lot of things about this season but this was not it lmao. Also, I still don't forgive the show for pulling the lip sync smackdown so late in the season and doing that to Trinity. She deserved a spot in that final four.

I find it interesting that so many people are obsessed with AS6, because the tops and bottoms of every week are just so fabricated, I almost find it hard to enjoy as much. The runways and challenges may be great, but the way most of the wins barely make sense really just rubs me the wrong way.

I hope for all stars 8 they continue doing rag tag random casts like this. I think that one of the BIGGEST pitfalls of AS2 is that there were so many legendary queens in the cast that there was very little room for storylines other than fighting, and because everyone has such strong fanbases and did quite well on their original seasons, the entire competition (and discussion around it) just turns into a cat fight over who deserves it the most. It's not fun.
