After many struggles, we're finally here on the last cave. I never figured out what went wrong with the editor, so I ended up doing it in two videos. This video will cover the first 13 sublevels and the second video will cover the boss.
The Dream Den is not as difficult as the other two, but that doesn't mean it isn't hard on its own. However, there's nothing you haven't seen before, so you should know how to deal with everything you see here.

The Dream Den is in the location where the very first ship part, Main Engine, was found in Pikmin 1. This kind of makes sense where you return to a starting point for the last time almost like a lap race.

Kinda wish that it was in the spot of where the hole of heroes is because of the lead up and how it presents itself as a final area

Hey hey! here’s some pikmin tips for dream den.
-if a level has falling bomb rocks, make a run through the whole sub level to make all the rocks fall and explode.
-purple pikmin are surprisingly effective against dweevils.
-use yellows for the boss, and have all other pikmin and crew behind the geiser, and always go for the monster pump first, as it holds the most danger against the other pikmin.
-an equal amount of pikmin is viable for this dungeon.
-finish off the boss with a bitter spray to get rewarded with lots of potions!
-take Gatling groins and spotty bulbears back to the ship as soon as possible. They come back to life after awhile.
-take extra care killing all the enmities before carrying treasures, and disarm any elemental traps.
-don’t be afraid to use your sprays, this is the last level.
-collect all the treasures and never return!
-try to explore and experience all of the sub levels parts, treasures are hidden.

Sub-level 10 was a fucking hell to me. Nowhere was safe, everytime I was leaving the rest of my army behind to use only the blue pikmins, some loose monster appearing out of nowhere attacked them when I wasn't looking. When it happened I had to switch characters but of course that'd mean leaving my blue pikmins vulnerable as well....fuck this level man.

Probably why they took them out story mode on pikmin 3.
VictoriaLampini they're not OP. they just have the weight and strength of 10 Pikmin create a small quake to stun an enemy but are very slow even when they have flowers. Plus to make them is to throw 5 pikmin into Violet Candybub

Louie legit man handled and then erased it’s mind and then put his mind into it ( I think ) the whole spider with anti pikmin weapons with no pikmin and how did he do this!? how did he manage the cave how did he hijack its mind? Easy he ate all of the previous enemies and used dream eater after killing the titan dweeveled with his FIST

Level 4 can go to hell with its bottomless pits
Level 4 isn’t hard if you use the cannon beetles to shoot other cannon Beatles. Any beatles left you can just beat to death easily. And don’t worry about the electrocuting beetles (I forgot the name.). Just use yellow pikmin to get the coin.
An average Engineer there called antode beetles (I think)

Honestly, I’ll never explore Dream Den forever because it’s full of nightmares and it’s a pain in the ass dealing with plenty of enemies invading many sublevels.

i was able to beat pikmin 2 100% yesterday thanks to you!! last 3 caves are nightmares though lol. i love this series and cant wait to play pikmin 3 deluxe at the end of the month. im sure yr guide will be helpful again :) might not need it though bc i saw the treehouse demo and it looks a lot easier
so your telling me that if you leave the rest of the pikmin idol and a few with you that all of them will follow you down the cave and none of them will die? bro you saved my freaken life if this is true i bought this game on release day and i have still yet to beat the damn thing. god bless you man :)
When you're INSIDE the cave, yeah, every pikmin that is alive will go with you even if they aren't in your current group. For example, if I brought 100 pikmin and I only have 20 with me, all 100 will go down to the next level as long as they're alive.
When you're OUTSIDE and entering a cave, every pikmin not in your current group will return to the onion/ship, though, and only your group will enter. For example, if I have 100 pikmin out and only 20 in my group, then only those 20 will enter the cave with me.

Did you know that in sublevel 3 when the bulbear spawns if you lead if off a ledge you will get the treasure automatically

Well, it's not necessary to play the game with no deaths, it's just a nice challenge to put on yourself.
I remember this when I was younger; I was on the 5th level and the fiery bulblax walked off the map; I still got the treasure though it spawned in the sky
the Dwarf Orange Bulborbs from Sublevel 1 migrated to Twilight River and chose to live inside a pit
I just finished Pikmin 2 in two in-game weeks, and I would have had a no death run except for one Bulbmin getting blown up in Submerged Castle. But still your runs impess me.

When I played this on the Wii, there was no Antenna Beetle on the 8th floor.
Sublevel 4 caused me a lot of trouble. I reseted a few times because either a: My Pikmin get crushed B: The Enemys throw my pikmin into the abyss or C:Reseting when I didn't mean to (happened to me)

Sublevel 10 was the worst sublevel for me, in fact it was so bad I needed a break from the game, and the funniest thing about this is that the final boss fight at the end of this cave was easy which I found it awesome and disappointing

In this run not too many 'cause I played the game a lot back in the day. But some particularly nastier floors took me a couple of retries. Can't remember exactly, though.

The most pain in the ass floor in the game to me is level 4 on Submerged castle.
So many damn bomb rock traps, 2 Bulbmins, floor is big and you only have 5 minutes on each floor before the Water Wraith spawns in.
This is okay. Not nearly as impressive as your emergence cave run.

It's not hard to get to, it's right behind an electric gate near where you find yellow pikmin.
Im stuck on sublevel 10 without ultra bitter spray what do i do
You can do a few things. You can rush to the treasure with your blue pikmin while another captain distracts the gatling groink or take down the groink first without bitter spray and bring back its body quickly.

Exactly. The first day you arrive at the Wistful Wild, you can clear the paths and defeat the enemies dominating the site. Two enemies hold a treasure. The next day you can go to all the caves and collect the treasures. Collect the above treasures first before entering the caves (if you have 100 purple Pikmin, the dumbbell can be picked up, otherwise you can save it to the end).
How do I deal with Sublevel 10, trying to get the treasure guarded by the jellyfish
There's land right next to the landing zone, I recommend heading there immediately and use a bitter spray if there's too many enemies together.
How to pass sub-level 2? Even yellow Pikmin can't reach the creature.
They can if you get up on the little ledge. You need to be careful also on how you throw the Pikmin cause they could be hitting walls and not getting the “arc” right for them to reach max height.

Actually beat ALL dungeons (except Emergence Cave, Hole of Beasts, White Flower Garden, and Citadel of Spiders) without reds OR deaths.
Didn’t have any deaths in those four, either :P
I really only bring reds cuz they do a lot of damage.

hey i know this comment is late and you probably wont see it but, what amount of pikmin from each group do you recommend for this level
I see all of my comments! For taking Pikmin on caves, I always take at least some of each color, but more specifically: at least 10 reds so that they can take down a stoned Fiery Bulblax, 10-15 purples to deal with 90% of enemies, and 20-25 blues to carry stuff back through water.
You only need a handful of whites and yellows to take down their respective hazards or dig stuff up.

Unfortunately, Sublevel 9 gave me exactly 0 Purple Juice... So your strategy here does not work on Sublevel 10. :(
What do you mean? Sublevel 9 spawns two Doodlebugs and they each can drop up to 2 bitter sprays.

All I got from level 9 was Pink. **shrugs**
I am trying to "attack ASAP with Blues", but unfortunately RNG like to have frogs or other enemies spawn near the starting point, which means deaths for those left on the stump.
@@ChimeratAlphaYou can also quickly move everyone to the nearby land area (the layout is always the same, just the enemy placement is different). Then you can leave the Pikmin in the holes in the walls after beating any nearby enemies.

You could try recording a DVD and then importing the file to your PC? The quality won't be as good as a capture device's, though.

Really dude. I've played this game probably more than a hundred times since 2010 when i got this game. I've always loved it.
@@zac3194 He’s probably just bad and isn’t used to games actually being difficult. I mean seriously, Pikmin 2 being insanely difficult at some points is what makes it such an exhilarating game for me. Newer games sometimes fail to capture that at least in my opinion.
Whoever designed floor ten needs to be shot seriously how am I supposed to operate without a safe place to stand seriously water everywhere and a roaming gattling gronk it’s just not fair then there’s the wollywog seriously

@@Hawlo I saw it that’s usually where I get ambushed by something else.
They way I do that floor is, head straight to the land next to the spawn point, kill the enemies on it or bitter spray them if you need to, then wait till the Gatling Groink is close enough to you then walk up and bitter spray him. Once he's done, work on the rest of the enemies using blues and leave the rest of the Pikmin on the land with the other captain.
