Thats probably because the Magic-technology from ToS was forbidden cause it consumed too much mana, and probably the world tree would have died while ratatosk normalized the mana flow if it was still used. Remember that something similar happened in Phantasia with the "mana canon"
If Vesperia occurred after Symphonia, then he probably discovered the world of Terca Lumeris while traveling on Derris-Kharlon but this definitely had to occur after Tales of Phantasia. Then again it is revealed that Kratos in LoM is just a projection.
oh yeah, you are right. But Mana is still important for the world, even after the 1000 years that ratatosk took to normal the mana flow. also @waterwind: remember that Phantasia happens 4000 years after so Yuan can easilly die after he resumes his eternal clock
it starts the same, but Emil says he doesn't want to interrup them and leaves after Kratos says goodbye to Yuan. Basically Emil doesn't talk to Kratos in the first playthrough.
he probably reset his eternal clock after 1000 years when the mana flow came back to normal thanks to ratatosk and the world tree in 1000 years probably is big enough to take care of itself.
I miss kratos soo much and i feel so sad about his ending . how he just flots in space forever all alone (it almost made me cry just hering his voice!!it so sad he never gonna see earth (or what ever planet this is!) again waaaaa sniff sniff kratos i miss you!!
Kratos left the Symphonia world on Derris Kharlan to seach for a place where the half elf angels would live in peace. Then he found the Vesperia world, and in that time, he learned that Sonic's too slow.
Derris Kharlan for the next four thousand years will keep floating through space. The angels and half-elfs who departed with it will develop cities and kingdoms in their new home. Somehow, the planet aquires it's own Mana Tree, which after the use of Magitechnology in a war, it dried up and now DK faces it's end. Dhaos, the king of a neutral country, will depart to look for a planet with a Mana Tree in order to get a seed to replace it. He arrives in Aselia. And the rest is in ToP.
the world will need it, magic and summon spirits still will require it as well. What Ratatosk will do is making living beings not need Mana to live. Pay attention to the ending.
Sure, mana remains as important as it is now. Yet, incredible how history repeats itself when the past mistake is forgotten. Something Midgards and Derris Kharlan found the hard way.
@Doomed100 Thats true. But the real Kratos actually has - HP and - TP. The number is K-only, Kratos only. You can never defeat him. He doesn't deal 90000000000k with every swing, he deals OVERKILL
@@zilotus905It shows how lloyds dad is a cruxis angel who travels with dherris-kharlan that almost destroyed the world. It depicts how strong lloyd is and his good heart expands his bloodline. Plus imagine what lloyd could teach emil or marta about kratos tech/spell wise. You just love being negative
This makes me sad, because all the half elves will eventually die and Kratos will be by himself on Derris Kharlan. And the thought of him drifting alone in space for eternity...is saddening.
He'll earn the title "War God" by reaching level 100, then he'll be somehow transported to our own world, in Olympia, then he'll be thrown into a coliseum where his Key Crest falls off, then his exphere mutates him into the main character of God of War; Kratos.
"But I hope they find a place to live in peace." Yeah, that goes pretty well. Until Dhaos decides to kick a ENTIRE PLANET in reverse and haul its ass back to their world.
Thats cool, the main reason I like "JUDGEMENT" is because of what he says before he releases the spell: Sacred Powers, Cast your purifying light, Upon these corrupt souls, Rest in peace, Sinners - JUDGEMENT!
Incorrect: some angels with Cruxis Crystals can stop their biological clocks. Kratos and Yuan have done so. It's possible they can reverse it and start aging again. Colette and Zelos, on the other hand, will live normal human lifespans and eventually die naturally.
Well, you can't expect the climate to remain the same, 4000 years is enough time after all. Before knowing the World Map of DotNW, I had always thought Venezia was were Palmacosta was, just because Undine and Thor were near the both of them.
My voice would sound less badass too if I lived in space for 2 years straight with no real communication. But somehow Kratos manages to sound more badass in this, especially when he introduces himself.
I think he meant that he would drift so far into space that all that could be seen was pure darkness (oxymoron?), like beyond where there were no stars to give off light, and no signal for sound or their communication. I dont think he got swallowed up in a dark hole, i mean would he be so calm if he could see it coming. And yes his companions are the cruxis angels.
Well, my theory is this, unfortunately: "Swallowed up in the vast darkness of space." There was a void mentioned in TOS1 that Derris-Kharlan stayed in Aselia so that it wouldn't drift into it. This is what Kratos could mean. Also, in Tales of Fandom Vol. 2: "One Other Symphony" Kratos said something about doing something to make his Eternal Clock resume, so he would've died anyway. So either Kratos dies shortly his transmission with Yuan, or about 72 years later. (Retrospectively, he's 28.)
for those who seek DERRIS KHARLAN it is found in VESPERIA a land not far from us make sure to send me a letter once you get there..... and I hope you have a nice trip
That's what puzzles me as well. Because it's not officially known yet that Lloyd named the tree Yggdrasill even though I'm sure he did. But I can't come to any official conclusion. Because the worlds were one in Phantasia, and if it took place before (4,000 years earlier), that's what Aselia could've looked like, but if it was after, it could've expanded over time. And the fact that the mana cannon and the cannon in Phantasia (Can't remember the name) are the same cannon. (Will continue comment)
I literally felt my heart sink when they said that they reached the limit of communication.. I guess I understand why Kratos didn't want the others to find out. It would've been more painful to say a second goodbye, and knowing that they may never be able to communicate again.
it is after. Heck even the music of the map in ToS2 is a remix of Phantasia's world map. The New world is the one of Phantasia, and this is official, Namco confirmed it when they released the first Symphonia.
Thank you a lot for uploading this !I saw this scene like 10 minutes ago(The complete one on 2nd playthrough, not on 1st playthrough) but went and saved over my savefile....damn idiot I am.(And I probably will never play this game again....it's not as bad as I expected but it still gets boring pretty quickly, compared to the original ToS)
Heh, he has no idea about Kratos and Derris-Kharlan does he? You'd think traveling with the old group that defeated Mithos that he might have heard the story by now.
its DK (Derris-Kharlan). Anyway, how do you know he was the only one that went there? we only got a scene with Kratos, the entrance was in the tower, so half-elves and even elves could have moved there before Kratos (thinking that Aselia wasn't the correct place for them). As we know it Kratos was the last one to get aboard the planet since it started going away when he said those last words to Lloyd. @ the PS: agreed lol
Actually, the world will no longer need mana too. At least, by the time Phantasia happens, it will not, since the tree was like 100 years dead and the world was still there. Although of course that magic and spirits don't.
Emil and Yuan don't understand! Kratos just announced his death! He's going to be swallowed by that void in the vast reaches of space (As Mentioned somewhere in TOS 1). Not even Mithos himself could survive that. So either he dies, or ends up in Neflhiem where he lives a new life with Dhaos, Barbatos, & Shizel where they prank Abyssion. Which seams more logical? Farewell, Kratos Aurion.
man Kratos is a beast, when I just got Tales of Symphonia, The good one I only got up to the part when Kratos betrayed Lloyd's group. so I thought he was a bitch, but then I beat the game and he made me cry X.X I want to see Kratos in more games, what ever happens to Kratos?
@Celia104 As Kratos said, he already said his goobyes to Lloyd and company before drifting off into space. Talking to Lloyd again would only result in another farewell, possibly even more painful than the first. And besides, hearing Kratos' impossibly awesome line about traveling to the dark depths of space would just make Lloyd develop an inferiority complex. :P
@ArteContable Vesperia and Symphonia have absolutely no connection. (Or at least you can't prove it with enough solid evidence) Kratos just serves as a cameo battle in Vesperia along with Dhaos, Shizel, and Barbatos just like how Garr, Farah, and Meredy are a cameo fight in Symphonia. As for his fate, it's up to your imagination. If your desperate enough to believe Symphonia's connected to Vesperia then those people tend to say Derris Kharlan ended up near Vesperia's planet or something >_>
@ShoghiDX Either way, Sonic's too slow. In tales of vesperia, the kratos you fight in the maze is a hologram. The real Kratos has 99999999999........9999999999999 HP and hits 90000000000k with every swing of his sword.
And if it took place before, I doubt that Mithos would have built the Rheairds 4000 years before Symphonia, and if it took place after, Yuan would've had possession of the Rheairds whether his eternal clock resumed or not. And Omega, I hear what your saying about what Ratatosk said, but I still think that mere humans wouldn't be able to live. Which is what puzzles me about Phantasia's characters. But if Martel was the summon spirit of a tree named Yggdrasill, it's possible that it could be after
He'll spend the rest of his life on Derris Kharlan or find a place to live the rest of their lives. Of course, they live forever or something, don't they? It's sort of complicated.
I didn't find out till yesterday that there are actually 2 scenes for this. In the one i saw its shorter :/ Guess this give me another reason to go through the game again :D
Kratos spent his whole life time bringing the planet Derris-Kharlan to the ends of the universe to live in peace. However, Dhaos from Tales of Phantasia (The sequel to Tales of Symphonia in time line order) brought it back to their world in like a day, so therefore all that work Kratos did was for nothing. Dhaos that ass! xD
Wrong. According to the PS2 version of the first game, the worlds were split BEFORE Martel was killed. The worlds were divided by Mithos to save them, but then he was betrayed by humans and Martel died.
But Omega, don't you remember what Ratatosk said? 1000 years from then, the world would no longer require mana, and the mana will have been drawn out from all living beings. And how can Yuan reset his eternal clock? He can allow it to resume if that's what you mean. And even if he did, he'd still have to wait another thousand years. He was, after all, only 25 when he stopped his eternal clock.
Kratos is the ''Mystery'' of all the tales games.
Emil doesn't need to know that, so he didn't say it.
I'm glad that Kratos poked in ToS2, narrating in the beginning and in this scene as well.
Thats probably because the Magic-technology from ToS was forbidden cause it consumed too much mana, and probably the world tree would have died while ratatosk normalized the mana flow if it was still used.
Remember that something similar happened in Phantasia with the "mana canon"
Doesn't matter what ending you get, you still see him leaving.

They should make a prequel to ToS 1 with Kratos, Yuan, Martel, and Mithos. It should take place from the beginning of the Kharlan War to Anna's death.
BigBossofMoss that would be cool. I also thought about Kratos having a game of his own. Where they find a planet, that is supposed to give them peace.
Why Namco didn't hire you?
I think every tales of fan wants that. But we will probably never get it.
BIG AGREE
Kratos is out there, alone on a planet-sized comet of mana, drifting endlessly in the vastness of space.
Did u watch the vid? Yuan said companions boarded
and then magically came back to this world 4000 years later O.o. But without Kratos...
Kratos: Farewell Yuan Ka Fai my friend.
Yuan: Farewell Kratos Aurion, My friend.
he probably reset his eternal clock after 1000 years when the mana flow came back to normal thanks to ratatosk and the world tree in 1000 years probably is big enough to take care of itself.
He does. He didn't want to explain it to Emil.
I miss kratos soo much and i feel so sad about his ending . how he just flots in space forever all alone (it almost made me cry just hering his voice!!it so sad he never gonna see earth (or what ever planet this is!) again waaaaa sniff sniff kratos i miss you!!
Kratos:"Fell the pain....of these inferior beings.....as you BURN IN HELL!!!"
Yuan didn't let his eternal clock resume. It's his job to guard the world tree. He knew that from the start.
Kratos left the Symphonia world on Derris Kharlan to seach for a place where the half elf angels would live in peace. Then he found the Vesperia world, and in that time, he learned that Sonic's too slow.

I wish Emil had found out about Kratos being Lloyd's father
what would it accomplish?
@@ZackExplorer28 Nothing at this point

Right, just like how the Triet Desert became the Plains of Valhalla.

@Blitzballgott The End of a Thought is only Kratos' battle theme. His theme is just "Kratos' Theme".
That's the last time we'll be seeing Kratos. Pity...oh well he's in Vesperia now
@MrSlaide Apparently when derris Kharlan returned there with dhaos, he had realized that just wasn't possible, and he settled for this one.

The best part about Dawn of the New World was seeing how much Lloyd has become like Kratos, and how Yuan acts as an uncle to him.
Just for the record, Kratos also appears as a cameo in Tales of Destiny: Remake, where he hangs out in either Harmentz or Armedia (forget which.)
