Believe it or not, this was my driver's training car in high school in 1972 when I was 15. Except it was yellow with black stripes and black vinyl roof, Cowl Induction hood and 454 badges. The instructor told us to be careful with the accelerator as we all took turns driving it around town. Every one of us barked the tires taking off even if not trying. The car didn't last long as a training car. The next year the kids got a Datsun B210. A great time to be a kid.
I've never understood why here in Britain the American cars we got imported were not the same as the ones in America. Absolutely the best styling in the world. Some of the the older cars are actually works of art. I've always wanted to go to America just to drive your cars. 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Thanks Dad! As a Yank I feel the same way about some of those Aussie muscle cars. Like the 73 to 76 Falcon XB. So I feel your pain. You are best Ally 🇺🇸🇬🇧
In the 1970's my buddy has a 1970 chevelle 454 ls6 engine it did come factory with an automatic on the column, but with a posi rear. When the car was at full throttle and shifted into second gear the rear tire's would lite up again, impressive for an automatic.
I bought my car from them. No test drive just blind faith in good people. They are in Tennessee I am in south Carolina..... 3 years later car still going strong! No issues. I bought a 1977 Nova.
Some old ones from a few years ago are showing up in my channel for viewing! This Chevelle was sweeeeeeet!!! Getting ready for fun day Monday, test rides!!!!
Wow, really enjoyed watching this one. Why would anyone want to sell this beauty? Alot of hours and $$$$$$$ went into the build. Nice Dio reference! Ronnie James was awesome too.
I remember these cars when they were new.i never have seen a 454 ss with a column shift automatic and no positive traction.nice car but definitely not a ss car
@@donjuan7030 a real ss would have had counsel shifting stick automatic. A lot of them had 4 speed. They all had positive traction. The reason his tires why his tires spin so easy is there is only one tire that drives the car not two. It would spin the tires the same in the rain if it had a stock 350 engine
My dad had a 'regular 72 Chevelle El Camino for a while. I think it had a 350 small block if I remember right. Also, a good friend of mine had a '72 SS 454 Chevelle just like this one except his was a medium lime/tennis ball green. His aunt who he was staying with in Houston bought it for him around 1977 or 78. I't been so long I don't remember. Coincidentially, earlier in the seventies, his mother had a 1970 SS 454 Monte Carlo. It too was green, but a darker shade. His mother was rather monied at the time, as her late husband had owned the Chevrolet dealership in DeQuincy, LA.. Back in the early '70's, we were just past the classic "muscle car" era of the mid and late '60's. When his mom let him drive it, I remember him telling me about shutting down a few cars at red lights who missed seeing the "SS 454" badges on the front rocker panels! Of course, she didn't realize it was a muscle car and only picked it because it "looked good". Those were indeed the days. Years ago? Yeah, but I just turned 70.
I enjoy your videos, please keep posting. That’s the most fun I think I’ve seen you have. That’s how the rest of us know you liked this one, and you get to drive some awesome rides. thank you. I
Its amazing how I remember my father having a few of these classic cars when I was younger. I think he changed cars more then his underwear lol. If only he would’ve kept a few of them, the cars that is!
Man what a beautiful 1972 chevelle I love Chevrolets cars& trucks and maple motors seems to get some of the most desirable automobiles own earth Nick thank you so much for all that you do wish I could just come hang out with you one day and ride around in them Alsome rides if you looking for it maple motors most likely has it

Man, Chevrolet sure built some magical shit in the late 60's early 70's...must have been awesome being young in those days with all the badass looking cars around, boy have things changed lol
I come there every year when we have our family ww2 reunion i cant help but dream for those cars the first year i saw it they had a light blue and white hemi cuda and it was one hell of an eye catcher.
That's a Badass Bowtie Nick .. Slick paint and Really straight body for sure... I wish it was a bucket seat console car ... I would love that for Cruzn around Phoenix Back and forth to car shows...👍👌
Believe it or not , I had a 71 chevelle as a dirt track racing car back in the 80s .. It was a SS with caul induction hood white with black stripes ... If I only new then what I know now , it would have been worth $$$$$
Damn, it's been wet by you. Snow coming in Milwaukee tonight... I love snow and snowmobiling, but this is too early. Gotta get my 87 Monte Carlo SS into storage....
Nice Chevelle. Not a SS. Oldsmobile made a cutlass .rally 350. And the 442. Pontiac made the tempest, T37 and the GTO. Chevrolet made the chevelle, heavy Chevy and the SS. this car was the Heavy Chevy version of the chevelle. Insurance reasons.

And being able to buy them for $800- $2,500 in the 80s
My brotha. Gone head & treat ya self. This is sweet. Too sweet for you to pass up
That puppy is official. Why can't Chevy bring the SS Chevelle back like Dodge did their old school ?
You have good prices. Most people think rust is the new platinum.
I come there every year when we have our family ww2 reunion i cant help but dream for those cars the first year i saw it they had a light blue and white hemi cuda and it was one hell of an eye catcher.
Thank you very much for stopping by all those years.
That car would be my baby
Y'all have some nice and clean cars there and seemed to be priced pretty fair as well.
Beautiful car that's going to sell quick.
Under the hood is the mechanic's paradise.
Beautiful Ride.

This type of car is my dream car.. Not a ferrari thing
I remember bring a kid seeing these cars in the 70 s could of hit one for 5-6 grand omg now price us nuts but worth it
My second favorite year... 1967-69 share first place
That car is awesome. Those wheels are sweet, but I remember back in the day they would tarnish easily. I have to have it.
I so want this one had one when I was 16

BEAUTIFUL CAR SIR. I HOPE TO PURCHASE ONE FROM YOU ALL SOON. PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR CAMERA NEAR THE TANK OPENING. MAY IGNITE FUMES. BE CAREFUL BOSS.
I like column shift bench seat Malibu's with SS stuff thrown on them.
SS Package should have included buckets and floor shift. Need to see cowl tag and build sheet
Love Maple motor going there soon

Thats my dream car!!!❣😍
Damn, it's been wet by you. Snow coming in Milwaukee tonight... I love snow and snowmobiling, but this is too early. Gotta get my 87 Monte Carlo SS into storage....
Mike Slomski i dont ever need to put my 67 camaro in storage, we dont get snow in virginia i do put a car cover on it though
I love that car.
beautiful chevelle
Thank you
Thats gorgeous!
Which 72 do you prefer this or the red and black stripe 72 with the 4 on floor that you had/have ?
Unbelievable how the 71 and 72 Chevelles aren’t quite as valuable as the 70. Most people don’t like the 2 headlights as much as the 70 quad headlights
MY DAWG NICK!!!!!! MMMAPLE MOTORS
Gorgeous.
Nice Chevelle. Not a SS.
Oldsmobile made a cutlass .rally 350. And the 442.
Pontiac made the tempest, T37 and the GTO.

Hooker headers, ladder bars, and Gabriel Highjacker air shocks for starters!!!
No air shocks.. Dont like them.. They dont let the car hook up .. LoL.
Gorgeous Nick, I wouldn't eat soup in this one....is it a one wheel squel
Nice! Great car!
I thought you gonna start dancin (donuts) in the parking lot.
Futura Tires on a ride like this........ Shameful !!!......lol
