Hey brother, don't fear the Dana 35. It is a easy one to freshen up. I got a DT Components # DRK 335 rebuild kit for the one in my 1995 ZJ , from Rock Auto.
It is a nice kit and comes with all new Timken bearings and seals.
The Dana 35 is a easy one especially if you are not replacing the ring and pinion set . Just put all the shims back exactly where they were, or replace them with exact same size shims, and it will put it back to near factory specs.
Those stampings on the bearing caps on yours looks factory, that is how they were originally stamped, and that orange sealer is the tubes is factory also.
And just in case you are not aware of what the "C" stands for in the Dana 35 C . It means it is custom. The custom ones are the same as other Dana 35 axles , except the C model had the carrier and gears installed by Chrysler.
Good luck with your projects and thank you for your videos.

From the shine on that carrier I’d reckon it’s the pinion bearing. And those bearing caps are originally marked like that. One of mine had a sideways H and an upright H another one had Gs. Might be the assemblers code.

This was handy. I've got a rear axle on my 89 xj I'm starting to troubleshoot...got an odd vibration at 50 mph or so...my drive shaft and U joints are solid. Thinking it's in the diff
