I only found this channel a few days ago but I feel like I've struck a hidden gem in the making! I enjoy the videos and the last montage showing off the new water project was very good! Keep it up! You're doing great!
now this is what i want to see in a timberborn play through, the planning, the development, the very few and controlled mistakes, al the other players I've seen half of the time don't know what they want, the other half don't know what they are doing. great channel already subscribed.
I’ve just jumped in on this after TH-cam suggested this video, but how have you got 130+ beavers and so much constructed and only 8/9 well-being!? Dude, you’re making life so much harder. Your beaver move and work speed would be so much higher if you sort out food, decoration and recreation, you’d need half the beavers to do what you’re doing now.
@@ZeddTheBuilder You will have to rebuild everything again, in the experimental version you can build water drains (not dams) placed at any height, they have bad water sensors and close automatically. And why would anyone need any food? Life is hard - and then you die. XD! Nice vid!
It's not terribly efficient because you need a few more harvest buildings with overlapping areas of effect, but I'm making some garden spots in my folktale cities. You lose a little space by having different harvesting buildings, but you can, for instance, have a forest where you 'randomly' have dandelions, bushes, chestnuts, maple syrup and pine resin. Once it's planted you can remove the forester that planted it, since those all regenerate once planted as long as you keep them alive. For Ironteeth I'd probably do more formal rows of different things, but you can still mix them in some symmetrical patterns. I'm playing in experimental mode and I'm loving the sluices for dealing with bad tide. (I do wish you could put harvested dirt on top of the platforms though... that would basically let you do a lot of new creative things like gardens in the sky.) Late game I blast trenches under lots of my roads and use them as channels for water and gear paths. Since they run just about everywhere it keeps lots of land nice and green.
Been enjoying the series so far. Thanks. I keep calling out to have you put in the path on the top of the dam to the left of the Floodgates where the Platforms are located. Your beavers keep walking down further to another crossing,
This videos are relaxing. And seeing you plan that monster of a dam and then Building smaller dams inside it and then making ir bigger. Like, the size of the project is enormous, but it's just so relaxing watching and listening to you plan all of it.
Wow, just amazing. The handwork in behind this is so much appreciated! I understand that need of both legs of V-shaped stairs, but all that scaffoldings and platforms are really stopping the view. I'm sure you can think of some better and even more beautiful option.
I absolutely love your videos. I am new and I really like how you go throughout the video and give an explanation of what happened in the past and etc. The way you talk and the music you have playing in the background is very calming and I really love the detailed explanations you give out for any future or potential plans you have
@@ZeddTheBuilder I honestly can’t wait. I already watched this week’s episode. I will probably watch from beginning as well. I just discovered the Chanel
Something I think you could do is create a mechanism to stem the Badtide River by redirecting it somewhere else and then turning the rest of that mountain plateau into a giant lake, potentially with a suburb or something.
Sluice gates look like their going to enable so many new setups. Deeper dams, automation, filtering bad water... I was really surprised when they snuck the 3d water into the release notes for update 6.
i was supprised that you only got 2500 subs, i thought you got easy ovr 200k :O hope you reach that some day. very nice video, very relaxing and good explained! i just started timberborn and i got some new ideas allready :D ^^
pump the water out the main dam set the pump to only pump clean water then youll have water even in a drought and even in bad water the pumps will pump up to a certain point flush out the main dam after the badwater also your crops and trees will not get killed off by bad water as there will be none how i set mine up remember to have overflow so set your outlet dam to half a meter below fully closed
I've been eyeing the experimental branch with the new overhangs and 3d water! Theres a lot of interesting setups that are now possible with those. Hoping that I'll be able to upgrade this save file when it releases, or its time for a new series!
I love sluice gates and they would have worked great here! Sadly this play through was on the prior version of the game and I didn't have access to them yet.
Due to the different format for episode 10 TH-cam doesn't know what to do with it and never recommends it 🙃 If anyone else is looking: th-cam.com/video/gmnbi0i60mU/w-d-xo.html
I just finished a fun map that you'll really enjoy. It is quite a challenge, but full of surprises. It's called Beaver God, and it's my first map. I'm trying to get some feedback and hoping you would give it a shot.
Episode 10 is here: th-cam.com/video/gmnbi0i60mU/w-d-xo.html I decided to do a special music-video edit for the 10th video. It was so different from the other videos that TH-cam doesn't know what to do with it and doesn't recommend it after the 9th. I recap what happened in the 11th video if you don't like the music.

Totally agree mate could go a very far way
Thanks! Glad you are enjoying the series. I'm looking forward to the new release 6 update - it's going to enable a lot of new crazy builds.

Yeah all of that water and the beavers don't have a single pond or shower
Wet fur is considered a basic necessity if I remember correctly
Thanks for the reminder! I like the structural planning of the game so much I tend to overlook the happiness modifiers for the pops!

Honestly I was thinking the same thing. I LOVE this series but those beavers are hating it lol.
I have almost 400 beavers and average 18 WB with a max so far of 23. Idk how y’all get anything done with so few beavers.

I've been bingeing this series today, the change in editing quality since the first episode is monumental! This is really great work!
Your narration is fantastic, smooth calm voice, and good descriptions of your reasoning. I appreciate the effort.
An entertainment center for the beavers may be nice on the platform. Giver the Beavers some +health/happiness + in the middle of the city.
It's so satisfying watching you play, please never stop, do every map or do hard mode, i'm subscribing! thank you so much! you make my days!
@ZeddTheBuilder listen to this very king human being

I love timberborn content, often times the videso are so long! You managed to fit some great projects all in one video, and it was very relaxing.

Ya know what would be cool? If they added some kind of hanging vines or plants to put on those scaffolding.
Honestly, they've been there forever and I find it gives the dam so much character.

Another excellent video. Very enjoyable to watch. I look forward to the next one!
You are so good at this game. Every video I get a lot of ideas for my settlement. Thanks!
This episode is solid gold.
I could build an underwater city with this update, it looked really cool
that's unbelievably genius! I never saw people go that far to terraform the map!
Thanks! I've got another big water project coming up in the next video. The goal is to make as much of this map as I can green!

I see timberborn, im pressing like and subscribe. gonna peep your series.. looks like a good run
10:30 Instead of moving the stairs away from the cliff face, you could also move them into the cliff face (dynamite out 2 deep and 1 deep).
Unless im mistaken, that holding tank would be a cistern
Love this serie !!!!
your a better engineer then @RealCivilEngineer
Cant wait to see this built with sluice gates on auto

3:39 Left side should also have pathway so they could go shorter round instead circling around long way
Good eye!

@@ZeddTheBuilder looks like you've picked up a nice little surge since haha
just found this series and ive played timberborn on this same map and we had the same idea of the huge dam and aquaduct!
cant wait to see this system after the new auto gates are in ;)
Suspension bridges in the beginning could have saved some resources/time
Great job! 👏
On this map i menaged to have 1000 beavers lol
Looking great 😊

Explosive montage!!?
started a playthough on u6 on this map. i mightve done some silly side platform shenanigans off the cliffs for a bit haha

why not use sluice gates? they can control the flow of water automatically things can be built on them?

I think Id call that a cistern
You're right! Perfect term for what this is intended to be.
Uh... Where did episode 10 go? I was on 9. Looked on the channel for 10, but there was no 10. Next ep I could see was this one.
Nvm. I'm an idiot.
