OOOOOOOOH. The big platforms allow you to build above non-solid objects. So you can build until just below the platform height, place the non-solid buildings, the plop the platform down instead of building right on top of it like previous floors. man, sometimes I ..don't know, like actually hate how out of touch with video's vibe the music in RCE's videos is. this one is outstanding example of it. either that or I'm becoming hyperpicky when it's late
just can't get rid of the feeling that this background music is out of place

When I first heard about The Line I assumed they meant it was going to just be a series of mass transit stops where a small town would grow up, and then along the way people would naturally settle because services are available because they can branch off the main trunk. You know, something that might actually happen in the real world.
That animation was batshit insane. Lovely.

I'm pretty sure the presentation is an optics stunt, no way theyre even gonna attempt to follow through. I saw someone mention downtown circle in dubai, which is somehow even less realistic than the line, i would assume that's the same.

The Line is hilarious. It would also turn into a mass death event so, so easily if the water supply were disrupted, etc. I wouldn't live there if you paid me; I'd take the money and move out ASAP.
