- In this video, we compare a few premium rooftop tents that we personally use and recommend. The tents include the iKamper Skycamp Mini, Skycamp 2.0, and the CVT Mt. Hood.

If you were to add some additions to the Sky camp mini I think it would be the greatest tent on earth. 1 A condensation mat or condensation tiles. 2 A self inflating and deflating mattress for those of us who just don’t sleep on our backs. 3 The shell to be a couple of inches deeper this way you could leave the bedding inside. 4 A solar panel roof that runs into a battery pack inside the tent so in the evenings you can charge up your electronics. 5 for the price I think some of the other extras should included and not have to be paid for separately. In my opinion if this was done it would be the greatest rooftop tent on the planet.
Thank you gentleman...This was very helpful as I am smack dab in the middle on buying one of these 3 tents...I am upgrading from a Tapui Kukuman Rugidized, which I love, but it's time to move on to a newer and waaaay quicker option.....

Main big issue with ikamper I have found is wet floor build up, will cause due to the body temperature. You will need get extra floor pad from ikamper to prevent the moisturized floor.

Very nice tents guys on the Tacoma did y'all have any issues with the rtt resting on both the bed rack and the cab rack? I know I've heard the bed of the truck moves independently from the rear of the truck sometimes I was wondering if it would be an issue down the road. I am wanting to get one I have a topper shell on my Tacoma with Martin/prinsu racks all through the truck (cab/topper)
Hey Joseph, There are no issues with it "resting" on the rack system. The tent is mounted on top of tent risers that give it an extra inch of clearance.
What kind of roof rack is on the that RAV4??

Did you ever go darker tint or still on 20%? I’m debating on doing 5% and 35 on the windshield.
Still the same tint. I couldn't do my windshield, I like seeing at night haha
@@Runnin4Tacos yeah I had 35 % on my windshield and 20ish on the sides on my last truck. It wasn’t too bad actually. Only issue was night mixed with rain

Agree. RTT is dope, looks cool seeing it on top of rigs and definitely has its pros, but that price just to sleep in it… no thanks lol. I’ll stick to ground tent like the Gazelle tents which are awesome and won’t hurt your pocket lol

That is totally up to you. I would but I don't like sleeping on ground tents

I too think the overland gear is CAF. But the problem that I see is by having all that gear on your rig, it's like an advertisement to a thief. Expensive stuff on the outside usually means expensive stuff on the inside. I prefer to be more grey man.
