@@sgshumblecrumb6046 2 things stick with me, the creepy guy working for penguin stealing babies and the music, the black ink blood when penguin is dead. But not traumatic, just seared into my brain. Had it on VHS and watched it a lot! One of my childhood favourites along with robocop😅
Their costumes and Tim Burton's takes on this is so current. It's hard to believe that it was released decades ago!
Bruh Tim Burton doesn’t understand Batman. He got the aesthetics down, but in terms of characters he missed the point completely.
@@Hdhdhsgsb Yea unfortunately this is true. Burton’s films are great, but they definitely aren’t the best when it comes to accuracy to the source material
Accuracy? No but it did create many things we love about batman today. Plus there’s many diff versions of batmen. Keaton is just one of the many. It’s ok to love diff versions.
@@Hdhdhsgsb Idk, Lego Batman has everything to owe to the time burton movies.
I think this movie was the start when Catwoman start design being all black because before this it wasn't
I like the way the whip flicking around mirrors the way a cat twitches its tail when stressed.
Such a weird, tragic fairy tale version of Batman. Catwoman with supernatural powers. The tingle in my spine as he tears the mask off to Elfman's score. This movie rules.
Max: Bruce Wayne why you dressed up like batman?
Me: Bruh
Underrated comment lol
I wondered that too. I always wondered why Superman looks like Clark Kent without his glasses too.
When he said that, I was like “You idiot 🤦”
@@bruceleeroy8302 Superman: *Looks exactly like Clark Kent*
People: Omg I wonder who is Superman....
Max mocked him for not having a mask on at the ball earlier so he could say he did that and he isn't the real batman..secret is safe then lol
She didn't die. She appears again at the very last scene in the movie.
yep, she had one life left. hope she didn't screw up anymore from there onwards XDDD
2:52 she lefts
When Selina said "I'm gonna save one for next christmas" we knew she'd survive that.
That and you saw her at the end of the movie.
After all these years he hasn’t been in a Batman movie but now he’s going to be in a flash movie next year
It's not confirmed, and the movie isn't coming out next year
@@themarvelboy3818 it's confirmed
It's funny how Max told Selina that she's fired at 1:26 even though it sounds like he already fired her when he tried murdering her in the beginning of the movie.
The lack of raccoon eyes FINALLY addressed in Reeve's 2021 'The Batman'!
Yep
Yep
I came back to this scene for this reason. I think every adaptation didn't cover this hole except for Matt Reeves version.
Too engrossed in the movie to care.
When Batman reveals his identity someone's going to die
or have their mind erased or driven insane or sent back to their homeworld...
@@quickcar5255 is that a reference to Rorschach in Doomsday Clock?
@@silentkahnquer6294 Nah its more like every batman villain or friend fate for some reason, it was running gag for fans whenever someone learn about bruce identity they just magically die in some manner shortly
@@piplup2009 it was stupid because she already knew and she rejected him and clawed his face and then shot and knocked out by max while unable to help catwomen or stop her...batman lost and got his ass kicked here
Keaton a speech there is very emotional and well done, that is why he’s a great Batman and shows why the characters love one another, mixed with Michelle’s brilliance it’s a great scene, and Walken is a great villain here too
No Catwoman can live up to this.. Michelle was the perfect choice
0:48 one of the saddest moments in cinematic history. Him ripping that gorgeous piece of costume. 😭😭😭
"Four... Five ... STILL ALIVE!"
Chills. The crazed determination; the indignation; the style. *Chef's kiss*
She isn't dead. She still has one life left to go. Bruce only found Max's dead body if you can remember. When Bruce went to try to find her body, it was nowhere nearby. And if you look even closer, I don't know if this is actually it, but when Selina and Max are "kissing" you can kinda make out as she's walking away in the middle of the scene, and at thepart where Alfred was driving Bruce home, you can see Catwoman on top of a building or wjatever she was on. She still has one life left.
2:17 That mentally broken, saddened and crazed laugh is what I live for.
That movie strength, Tim Burton's strength : no computer, no simulation, only actors performance in the right time, place and alchemy between their characters.
We never forget Joker's and Batman's connection : "I say "I made you" you gotta say "you made me"
Little out of subject : Ledger somehow took a bit of it : "You complete me"
Batman's mask is made of play dough or what?! Damn thing just peeled off like an orange peel.
obviously it's made of orange peel lol
Stet Tan lol true
Rubber
Well this is Batman.
When filming 89, Keaton tried to turn his head and the mask ripped in half. That’s why he barely moves
I love when she takes her mask off and her hair and everything makes her look stunning 😍
Not really she looks a mess, also that leather outfit must smell really bad.
2:51 you can see CatWoman scape
0:48 lmao that sound
P O P
Clips like this, from movies such as this... Really highlight how far Hollywood has fallen. You can't pay to get a banger like this these days.
This is the "I'm here because of the new Batman taking his mask off and has actual make-up unlike this one" comment.
The title is misleading, since Catwoman only lost 5 Lives, with 3 prior to this scene, and that she saved the last one for Next Christmas.
Michelle Pfeiffer was so freaking gorgeous as Cat Woman😍 1:25 when the mask comes off and the beautiful kinky wild hair is out OMG❤
I know right!
Universalis Ted frustrated man detected
And she rejects batman and claws his face after his declaration of love and unmasks and she looks like that...I'd be heartbroken if I'm bruce lol
I'm almost convinced that Max figured out Bruce was Batman, but he still asked that question so he could set both him and Catwoman up for 1:36.
It's hard to tell with walken..it could be the character is that arrogant he doesn't believe it or he could be being sarcastic...batman got clawed then shot here..they both owned him here and it comes down to them
Am I the only one who gets the chills when seeing Batman taking off his mask with the music? Its like discovering his identity again...
Technically not the death scene, at the very end of the film it shows batman signal and cat women randomly pops up looking at it from the top of a building, definitely one of my favorite batman movies!
Not that related to the scene: the Cape worn by this Batman looks amazing. The design was so spot on.
He can't look left or right.. design flaw there.
She didn’t die. You could see her feet run after the explosion and obviously her head in the end. I was like 10 when this came out.
Michelle Pfeiffer kills it in this movie. Amazing performance.
I really wish Tim Burton could have continued making these
Blame overly sensitive parents and warner's shitty marketing with McDonalds. It was thanks to some stupid toys that Batman became campy again.
Tim Burton. The only live action filmmaker to get how fucked up Batman and Catwoman are, mentally.
Halle Berry: I'm the best Catwoman in the town
Michelle Pfeiffer: Hold my whip
2:00 When someone tells me there is a better Catwoman than Michelle Pfeiffer.
Well, Halle Berry DID voice one of the most underrated Bond girls.
@Samir Adams I know that.
Berry's a great Catwoman, it's just the movie she's in isn't.
Nah I don't think even Halle Berry would say that.
0:42 No black eye makeup
They should have *blacked out his eyes* in remaster version & pretend it was part of the cowl(like begins),they already changed so much from color tone to soundfx.
Besides being rich, losing the eye makeup as soon as he removes his cowl is another superpower Batman has!
Batman’s sad Bruce Wayne is fake smiles
LOL I never noticed 😂
Wkwkwkwkwkwkw true
The title should be renamed 'The Death of Max Shreck' as Catwoman survives.
i love that the scene before he rips his mask off, the make-up in his eyes disappears out of nowhere.
If only she’d had the foresight to bulletproof her chest like Batman did she’d have a lot more lives left and a lot more Christmasses to slink through
She never died, bruh. The movie had had her prancing around and flipping right before the credits. Why nobody remembers that?
@@dr.stevebrule4511 batman gets knocked out here by one shot and catwomen keeps coming...batman was weaker then in the first movie..he would get shot snd get back up right away
Shreck: Selina. Selina Kyle. You’re fired! And Bruce Wayne, why are you dressed up like Batman?
Catwoman: Because he *IS* Batman, you moron!

This scene was odd to see as a child when it was released tbh.....

Micheal Keaton must've felt so good removing that mask lmao
And then wishes he kept it on due to catwomen rejecting him and clawing his face infront of max who know knows and shoots him...he was stupid here and got his ass handed to him
Micheal Keaton
Michelle Pfeiffer
Danny Devito
Christopher Walken
All 4 did amazing performances as their roles in this movie
I hate absolutely everything about Batman unmasking. They switch from having his eye makeup to not having it, the way he tears his cowl off, the fact that he does it in front of Max, everything.
Yeah it's stupid..selina knows who he is already and max is there..and it's all just to get clawed on his face and shot by max and knocked out..and she rejected him and punished him for it so it was stupid
After ripping off that part of his cowl, Bruce can finally turn his head.

I wonder why all the Batman villains, particularly the ones that are well known, all have such a tragic background.
I just wonder what Batman would have done if Max had lived and tried to tell people that Bruce Wayne is Batman
Unknown TH-camr knight fall protocol
nobody will believe him
People will laugh at Max, especially Commissioner Gordon and Harvey Dent..
Max was never gonna make it Alive or sane out of that hole.
Judging by the dialogue, perhaps Bruce didn't care anymore.
Maybe he was ready to hang up his cowl and shack up with Selina.
Love how he magically removed his black eye makeup between the shots ;)
A rare time Hollywood portrayed handguns accurately, by showing handguns are very inaccurate.
I like that Bruce learned that killing is not good in the bad, such a cool character development. Tim Burton movies are really fun to watch.
Michael Keaton, best Batman ever!! 🤗❤️👍✌️
The black paint around his eyes suddenly disappears when he starts to take his mask off. You think they could have just filmed from a different angle for a second so it wasn't so obvious
Hermoso.... Como si no hubiesen pasado 30 años ya.... que paleta de colores...que imagen
If you pay close attention to Batman, you can see the black makeup on his eyes, but at 0:42, the black makeup on the eyes are gone.
if you look closely, at 2:52 you can see Selina leave
Its amazing how Michael Keaton had just done Beetlejuice the year bfr he did batman
“why are you dressed up like Batman” cmon dawg
I’m intrigued at how easily he tore his mask off. I watched that part alone about 8 times
