Lol I like how The Penguin gets so raged up and tries to attack Batman all loud and viciously, while Batman on the other hand just calmly and quietly stands there all still and completely unfazed, and then just easily dodges all of his attacks like it's nothing.
One thing that I noticed in both Tim Burton Batman films, is how Batman gets his vehicle destroyed in the final act right before his final confrontation with the villain.
Out of all the Batman villains to be defeated in a live action film, the Penguin has probably suffered the hardest. The penguin got owned by Batman so hard in this scene. First Batman violated his plans and destroyed his vehicle to escape. Next, after pissing the penguin off to the point of angrily attack him, he just easily and calmly dodged all of Oswald's attacks like it was nothing and only lead him to break his own sword. 3rd, he bitchslapped him with his own umbrella. 4th, he deliberately tricked the penguin into blowing up his own zoo. And finally, by tricking the penguin into detonating the remote, he also tricked him into waking a horde of bats to attack Oswald, thus leading him to fall to his death while his own zoo blew up. No other villain in a Batman movie has been met with a defeat this hard and humiliating. In every other Batman movie the villain usually just gets beaten up or outsmarted over something small. Here, Batman just full scale trolls the penguin.
After watching this movie for so many years, it wasn't until last year I actually realised that Batman killed the Penguin the same way how the penguin killed the ice princess earlier in the movie (using a horde of bats to cause him to fall to his death). I guess Batman wanted to give him a taste of his own medicine.
Batman pimp slapped Penguin with that umbrella. Keaton is such a badass. Then, he straight up murders him as icing on the cake. Enjoy your deep puddle of industrial by-products, Mayor Cobblepot!
It's very funny how the Penguin actually thought he could take on Batman with an umbrella sword. Lol he's fighting the same Batman who beat the crap out of his entire circus gang of ninja clowns with no effort.
Such a great movie I haven’t seen it in years. But I remembered everything perfectly. From the “genuine freak” to how crazy the penguin got, even the sound effect as shreck takes the gun from the floor
We've had Michael Keaton, Michelle Pfeiffer and Tommy Lee Jones in the MCU and now Christian Bale is joining. Now the MCU REALLY needs Christopher Walken as a villain 😁😁
Like how Ursula accidentally killed flotsam and jetsam in both animated and live action especially when she loved flotsam and jetsam despite being the villain
I'm so glad that he's putting the suit back on after so many years. Can't wait to see Michael Keaton back as Batman in the Flash movie. Who else agrees with me?
Having studied penguins myself I’ve come to learn that they’re not trainable. Very much like the time the penguin in queens I’m going slightly Mad video peed on the sofa. It’s no wonder Freddie Mercury refused to pet it!
Not tragic whatsoever. They were to be used to murder a bunch of people. Penguin’s story is very tragic, however he was extremely dangerous. He went as far as having his goons kidnap a bunch of children just to drown them to death in chemical waste. You can’t get more sinister than that.
I love how while Batman didn’t try that much Penguin arguably came the closest to killing him Heck if he had the Tommy Gun umbrella, Bats likely would’ve been done for
We all know that physically Penguin was no match for Batman as we definitely who would have won that fight but what i liked about this scene was Batman used his brains to outsmart Penguin by turning his own army of penguins against him and he didn't even have to lift a finger to do it, all it took was one flip of a switch to turn the tables plus he knocked Penguin out with his own umbrella just for good measure as his way of getting the last word. Batman played Penguin's game very quietly and calmly without even saying a single word and came out on top. Well played
Is this movie different?, yes, but it is by far the best live action rendition of a comic book ever. The new movies are good, but they lack the imagination and creativity this one has.
Acoording to some data, the water of Penguin's hideout is toxic and all the penguins survived there for almost 30 years with poison water without any damage. So the Penguin is not lucky when he fell into the water, besides he fell from higher.
In one scene, Alfred (Jeremy Irons) says to Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck), "One misses the days when one's biggest concerns were exploding wind-up penguins." This is a reference to Batman Returns (1992), where Batman (Michael Keaton) goes up against Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer) and the Penguin (Danny DeVito) who had an army of penguins wearing exploding rockets with a plot to destroy Gotham City.

This is poetic justice indeed I remember how the penguin caused the ice princess to fall to her death with the bats well the same thing happened to the penguin he basically got a dose of his own medicine. Of course the abandoned zoo got totalled as well. Danny DeVito however nailed this role to perfection good movie all around
Maybe I'm a little disoriented after watching the dark knight and Batfleck but Batman should have easily dealt with Penguin instead of waiting for him to use his umbrella or whatever
"Your just jealous because I am a genuine freak and you have to wear a mask." For some reason those words just hits home.
You might be right.
I think you are jealous because of my soul and appearance which you wanted to get ugly fuck you and whole your lies
Oswald have a point. Bruce became a monster for choice. He born as one.
