The fuel economy of a bike with the safety of a car while looking like some sci-fi/anime. vehicle. This is absolutely fenomenal and should be mass produced ASAP
Once, I was passenger of one of those things. They're made with 4cyl straight BMW motorcycle engines, 1000 ... 1200 ccm. You can choose between usually fuel injection or turbo or supercharger. They develop between 120...250hp and weitgh between 450...500kg. You can get them with aircondition, Dolbs Surround system by BOSE, Navi-System... They'll accelerate faster then 95% of all supercars with a fuel consumption of far less then 10l/100km. The perfect symbiosis between bike & supersport car.

This reminds me of the Me 163 Komet. That craft was shaped similar to this and had similarly impractical means for holding itself upright at low speeds (i.e., drop-away take off gear. It also had great performance but was described as a deathtrap.
There is a huge problem with this: If the battery fails, or a fuse blows (or there is some kind of mechanical failure, broken cable etc.) and the outrigged wheels can't come down, the machine falls over. This may look safer than a motorcycle, but I think, in this case, looks are deceiving.
except if you engineer it properly. Such risks can be managed quite well with redundancies, over engineered components, spring loaded actuators (that return to the 'safe' position if the power fails) etc. Modern cars are packed full with systems that can either apply your brakes (ESP, TC) or cut back your brakes (ABS). The handbrake is often electronic. There is a sensor that can set off a small explosives in your steering wheel, a-pillar, dashboard. The throttle may be electric, no cable. The powersteering is electric and is used for crash mitigation or lane-following systems . The steering itself will soon become electric (no physical link between steeringwheel and tires). If those systems fail catastrophically you will have a nasty accident and possibly die. Yet millions of these systems are in operation every day.

I don't agree much with the creators assessment that motorcycles have too short of wheelbase and too high center of gravity. His design is quite nice where the weather is often cold and wet, but other than that I can't see how making bikes heavier and lowering the CG is an improvement. Look at Harley road kings, they're not so great at differing, especially lower speeds. Too short of wheelbase gets unstable, too long makes turning too slow. These things don't look like they'd be great in traffic at all, and especially in tight turns. And unless it's got A/C, You'd cook in hot weather.
I agree. My primary beef with things like this (I had the same argument with Royce Creasey about his Voyager many years ago) is that they lose the bike's ability to hack through traffic jams because a) they're much longer, and b) they're at maximum width for most of their length and most of their height: a bike is only widest at it's handlebars which are relatively small. Plus there's the fact that being "outside" is precisely what most bikers want.

yup, that's the more modern version without the support wheels. I hope it will become popular
This would be great for retired small airplane pilots because from the inside, it feels like somewhat like a cockpit
Me and the boys leaving area 51 like
I would probably forget to put the wheels down...
where found this viike
2019 and I didn’t even know these were a thing until I watched this video
This is the guy that fell off a motorcycle scraped his knee and cried in front of his buddies while they pointed and laughed. Under his breath he said "one day you'll see". And here we are.
This like something a Super Sentai or Power Rangers team would drive.
"I can't think of anything to say." Which was probably a first for Jeremy!
omg i want this for my first car
Motorcycle*
DJ ToKyO motorcar*
Neither. It's an ugly ass egg on two wheels.
Or two corvettes. Or a corvette and 4 nice motorcycles. Or a corvette, a nice motorcycle and a bass boat.
DJ ToKyO
No you don’t XD
buy one of thse when im older
Dustin Giroux
That said 4 years ago. Hows it goin today?
Just love the 633 Squadron Soundtrack for this awesome video!!
I knew it was a soundtrack from something, right away with the first notes playing. Did not know the movie, thank you!
Now this is pod-racing!
12 years later youtube shows me this vid.....
me: *bruh*
lmao
and here I am replying only a day after you posted your comment. technology
I could see a modern version of that with gyroscopic balancing system, and better lines design wise.
Definitely a bike.
it's now 2019, never seen one and at £50k I think I know why!!!
I actually really want one of these! (Especially with the rising cost of fuel)
Imagine being able to turn up at the office on a bike without having messy hair and moths stuck to your teeth or being soaked because it rained.
That is awesome!!!!
Someone needs to mass produce these so they are available for less than 50k. I'd buy one.
All the positive qualities of a car and still nearly as fun as a bike I'd imagine.
would love a custom tron inspired one
who puts a roof on a scooter? ... what are you?? .....THE POPE!?!! :D
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_C1
christiaan van Zyl nice. You watched Spy
I don't think that classifies as a scooter if it does >300km/h ...
Among us motorcycle.
Where can I buy one in The U.K.?
all motorcycles need to be like this!
Tryhardtechy
No
Among us car
It looks like a motorcycle with a shell build over it.
Fifty thousand pounds of WHAT ??
+TIMEtoRIDE900 The little gold-coloured shiny coins with "1 pound" and a picture of the queen on them.
+CrazyCashGaming The queen of WHAT ??
CPTANT Io, obviously. The United Kingdom, where else would it be?
So I could have a Jeep Rubicon AND a Porsche Boxter - - or an enclosed scooter??
spudnic88 No, but this is a clip from a British television programme, and our currency is pounds. I do not believe that any other queen other than the British one has her face on a currency called pounds.
It's a potato on wheels
Ya know, this was a missed opportunity to name it the valkyrie, since the maker's name is Wagner...
they are efficient, do fulfill their purpose, take up little space both while driving and while parking and if mass produced could be petty cheap.
instead we have 2,5t SUVs pretending to be eco friendly, while taking several car lifetimes to make up for the pollution during battery production
It was the future, but we are stuck in the past.
The Susmobile
Saw one in Switzerland!! Pretty amazing vehicle
