Stevie was just a force of nature. Crazy sick skills. Gone way too soon from this world. Just glad we have this footage and his music to appreciate. Enjoy more of SRV in the future!
Not only the best guitarist ever on this planet, past or present, but that beat-up 59 Stratocaster that he’s playing there is worth almost $1 million today. Gone too soon and still missed in 2023. RIP SRV🎸
SRV may he R.I.P One of the greats that is highly missed. A true musicians musician. Many of the greats of Blues at the time had the opportunity to perform with him names like BB King, Albert King. Eric Clapton considered him a good friend and was with him earlier in the evening his death. Texas Flood will not only tingle the ears but is visually exciting as well. ✌️☮️ 🤠🐂🏞️🛩️
Stevie is considered by many to be the greatest guitar player who ever lived - this is always going to be someone's personal opinion, but definitely check out plenty more as each time you hear him you will be more and more amazed, live is best. "Texas Flood" - Live at the El Mocambo (that specific performance) is a great place to listen to him ascend to levels of music and guitar that seem powered by some forces that are beyond our normal reality - they don't even seem possible. But he was also a humble, kind, beloved human being, so down to Earth and a hero to new guitar players for decades now and will be forever, as a player and a person.
Great reaction my dear!!!!! Welcome to the rabbit hole called Stevie Ray Vaughan!!!! I recommend you go down it and discover more of his songs/works as an artist!!!! If you really want to get your mind blown by his guitar work and singing, I recommend you watch his video at the El Mocambo to the song “Texas Flood” live!!!!! The performance is off the charts!!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!! Just saying!!! So says Austin Tx!!!! 😎🍸🤩
Stevie Ray Vaughan was a genius with talent that no one will ever see again, Stevie Ray Could play behind his head, backwards, one hand, broken string, break a string and switch guitar without missing a beat, tune his guitar while playing, adjust his AMP'S while playing one handed, his teeth, his elbow and play behind his head longer than anyone ever could. Stevie Ray's career only span 7 years and in that 7 years starting with the release of his album Texas Flood in 1983 Stevie Ray and Double Trouble recorded in 2 days and in 7 yrs he was inducted into The Austin Music Hall Of Fame, The Blues Hall Of Fame, he won 6 Grammys, 10 Austin Music Awards, 5 W.C.Handy Awards , Entertainer Of The Year, Instermental Of The Year and in 2015 he was inducted into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. He was loved and respected by many great Blues players, Stevie Ray always said his biggest influence in his life was his older brother Jimmy who is a great guitarist In his own right and had a band called The Fabulous Thunderbirds then all the great Blues performers B.B.King, Buddy Guy, Albert King who was actually Stevie Ray's godfather. His career sadly ended on August 27,1990 after playing a show in East Troy Wisconsin at the Alpine Valley Theater with Eric Clapton, Robert Clay and his brother Jimmy Vaughan. Stevie Ray is missed by many and imp THE GOAT
Stevie Ray Vaughan played guitar solo in David Bowies's song Let's dance (unfortunately was not showed on video where Bowie pretends to pay it himself).
I remember that video. Pretty lame that Bowie did that. He's a great musician in his own right. But yea I believe Stevie did that Bowie contribution right before Stevie broke big.
Didga evah?? That's a great reaction, can hardly say more than wow, cause that usually says it all. Boy, are you in for a ride if you go down this rabbit hole! Check out the live versions of everything starting with Texas Flood at the El Macombo. There are many versions of this Jimi Hendrix original, one more amazing than you can believe another could be. This guy is part man, part guitar, pure Alien. This band is unbelievably talented and so in sync. I don't know how they manage to follow Stevie's wizardry, but hot damn they made it work like a charm. Or should I say like Voodoo magik. Stevie Ray Vaughan was the GOAT IMO. There will never be another like him in many ways. Besides guitar hero, the voice, soul, swag, showmanship, sassy, sexy... A rock star. A force of nature. A-mazing! We love him! RIP, King SRV. ☮️to all.
"Stevie was an endless, open channel that music just poured out of. He made people who'd never touched a guitar in their life want to pick one up and start playing, and he made those of us who'd played with him live onstage before want to quit."............Eric Clapton.
I am so terribly sorry but Jimi Hendrix could have played circles around Stevie and he would be the first person to have told you that I saw Jimmy at the grande ballroom and there is no comparison Stevie was a masterful guitar player and he was able to copy Jimmy's style pretty accurately but he could never ever out play Jimi Hendrix Jimi Hendrix was a real force of nature
Awesome reaction girl 👌...next up should be Texas Flood live at El Mocambo...you thought this was great wait until you see this song 💯💯%🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I'll be waiting here to see ya jaw drop lol 😆
This is cover. Look for the original: The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Voodoo Child (Slight Return) (Live In Maui, 1970). Song was written for album Electric ladyland 1968.

This cover smokes though.
Put a spin on a Jimi Hendrix song and the rest is history! SRV at his finest
Think this is good ? Check out Jimi Hendrix's Woodstock concert performance of this song !
I should know I'm Stevie Ray Little Sister. Kiya Lynn Vaughan.
Sounds like a Hendrix tune.
It is, and idk why people suggest Jimi’s song first, but I see that she’s seen more of Stevie’s videos.
Last name pronounced "vawn", rhymes with dawn.
Thanks for the correction
