That version in the official music video left out a cool little part before the solo that bridges from the main riff to the solo. The album version is awesome and the version with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra is amazing. That whole show with the orchestra was mind-blowing. I guess there have been two shows with the orchestra and they're both incredible.
lol. i never associated the gypsy sound at the beginning with the roam lyrics! 30 years later and you taught me something about a song I know front to back. Great job.
That awesome bass "crack" was achieved by Jason Newstead snapping hard on a 12-string bass. It's such a cool addition to the track that makes something really special.
I've always interpreted this song to mean that comfort within ourselves is what makes you feel at home and you loving yourself and knowing that although you're not alone (surrounded by thousands of people) you're still by yourself in terms of manifesting your own destiny and being good in your own head. You're the only one losing control of you.
Always loved this vid. Not only a bangin' song, but at 1:06 (your video, 54 secs their original video), the Assembly Hall is in my hometown of Champaign, Ill. It's been a 'Point at the screen and yell "HE-HEY!"' moment for many of us Champaignians since 1992.
i always thought this song was a comment on how they pretty much grew up on the road, kind of ironic this song was on their breakthrough album and they toured the damn thing for more than three years. this tour was my first concert....lol nice

She's really into it man ! I wasn't expecting that. And a really on point & cool take on it
Metallica rules 🤜
Love her energy! She's definitely an old soul
Lex is in her bag again and all the thumbs are up! Best air guitarist in the game🎸🥁
Lucky enough to see them twice in early 80’s and again in early 90’s Phenomenal talent. Just awsome in concert.
Really is a Pleasure to see People who don't usually get Metal suddenly have an Eargasm!! :)
Congrats on 121K subs!!!
It's basically a song about being on tour and making yourself feel at home wherever you may end up.
I used to be a wrestler and this was my entrance music. Good memories.
lex is that cute at times i burst out laughing, brad lex i'd kill for what you 2 have.keep it coming
lol. i never associated the gypsy sound at the beginning with the roam lyrics! 30 years later and you taught me something about a song I know front to back. Great job.
That awesome bass "crack" was achieved by Jason Newstead snapping hard on a 12-string bass. It's such a cool addition to the track that makes something really special.
I just want to party with a house full of people just like Lex . One of my favorite people ever.
Lex is truly a guitar 🎸 girl !!! When she picks up that left hand and starts waving it, she's into the song
" Carved upon my stone my body lies but still I roam " absolute fire lyrics Metallica always rips it wide open😈😈😈😈😈😈😈
I Got to See them when they Did this Tour..1992...I was 9 and They Came to my home in Honolulu..First Ever Concert🤘
must be so fun expending some time with this lady
I've always interpreted this song to mean that comfort within ourselves is what makes you feel at home and you loving yourself and knowing that although you're not alone (surrounded by thousands of people) you're still by yourself in terms of manifesting your own destiny and being good in your own head. You're the only one losing control of you.
My body shows Brad, deep inside , my whole reaction is like Lex !
James' vocal performances were just so damn stronk in this era.
Manliest man
Stronk? Strong maybe? Wdk? Think RtL was his best. He didn't get right vocal training after ear troubles unfortunately
Stronk
That Bob Rock production and attention to detail
i always thought this song was a comment on how they pretty much grew up on the road, kind of ironic this song was on their breakthrough album and they toured the damn thing for more than three years. this tour was my first concert....lol nice
Watching Lex rock out,is always the highlight of my day!!😃
Lex is a little bundle of joy 💖💖
I love watching people find metal for the first time.
This is my amp up song!!!!! The different beats in this song. The start up is the best part. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Brad seems to like guitar solos lol. Love it!!!! As James would say “you are now part of the Metallica Family”. 👏👏👏👏.
This was an incredible tour that lasted about 2.5 years if I'm not mistaken.
They don't get it
3 divorces
@@GODHATESADOPTION That's life.
@@oldschool250 best tour ever
It's good to see Brads head is starting to loosen up and move with the music.
I believe the more he listens the more he will get it and some day enjoy it as much as Lex does.
Hellyeah a classic that will never get old. Lex feeling it to lol. Love it. This was my sht growing up to. Damn I feel old now 🤣
