    You need to walk before you run , meaning learn to handle the boat is right now the most important thing ( so you and your family are safe ) projects come along all the time but having the both of you knowing how and what to do will keep you alive ! Are the things you need to do make it a sea worthy vessel any more then it is now ? Just my thoughts !

      A few more projects before we over-winter on the boat: Installing our new furnace, sealing some leaks... and some projects over the winter. Permanently running solar panel wires and some work with our new composting toilet. We also want to get a water-maker and install that for when we get out to the ocean. But you're so right, there is ALWAYS a project. We try to balance between work and play (sailing practice). :D Thanks for watching!
