Haha!!! I did the refit on that beautifu oldl boat!! Every week Steve would present me with a bottle of rum in appreciation for my work.
May the universe bless this man!!! A true wooden boat lunatic. A legend and wonder!!

Jesus wept . I've never seen so many moving parts on a boat as the Witch of Endor. Love that whistle :)

My God those were beautiful! Truly love your channel, from the sailing to the galley work to the maintenance care of your S/V and all the bits in between. You give great inspiration to those of us just starting out.

An incredible episode. I have no words to describe the wooden wonders.

I really appreciate hand-built stuff, the passion just oozes out of the final product. I work with metal but whatever the material, hand carved has it's own beauty.

Those were some truly beautiful yachts and honestly using beautiful to describe them doesn't really sound like enough.
As always fair winds, safe travels and God Bless...

Witch of Endor-what a fun boat. You can keep your fancy fiberglass and plywood yachts. I would take a boat like this any day... Would love to have a horn like that for my truck.

OMG... They were all beautiful and astonishing. I will have to say that the Witch stole my heart. Put me in the mind of Bogart and Hepburn on the African Queen (One of my ALL TIME favorite movies). Might have to watch it again this evening for the umpteenth thousand times.

What a wonderful episode. So much love for traditional boats, those owned by other people, but would *never* want the responsibility myself! Good to have Troy clarify what the little brass wheel was for. Sliding wine glass rack is pure genius. Needs no explanation .... 🤣 🥂🎉

Beautiful artwork in the boats. I live in South Carolina in the USA, each year, in August, there is a wooden boat show in a small Harbour town Named Georgetown. The boats are beautiful but not as elaborate as yours. Great video.

Hi Pascale and Troy, I was pleasantly surprised to see you here because I hadn't looked at the producers "label", so G'day! I have been to the Wooden Boat Festival myself in a previous life but now follow you two on Mirool and have reached Yamba so I'm a bit behind. Love all your vlogs but especially your "Someone asked me why I don't buy a catamaran, but I like sailing too much." I reckon you have given Mirool a new lease of life with her restoration. Happy sailing Guys!!!

The practicality of a plastic boat is undeniable, but wooden boats, even humble but well maintained, are just gorgeous. My father had an all wood 18ft (~5.5m) catboat (I think I mentioned this in comments on another video). Eventually the maintenance requirements overwhelmed him, and he sold it. Many fond memories of that catboat....Cheers.

The triple expansion steam engines are fascinating. I did a day trip on The Waverley in Scotland a few years ago. The last seagoing passenger-carrying paddle steamer in the world. Worth it just to be mesmerised by the giant engine and paddles chugging away.
