When you had the fittings out,why didn't you paint the hull?

Hi Sarah, Chris and Will. We met you on an Island yesterday (Teri and Larry)! Excited to be following your adventure.

Because they used a Polyester resin back then. It is cheaper than Apoxy Resin. But if you can sand all of thim out and put on a Good Apoxy Barrier coat paint, It should help stop the blisters. Happy 4th of July. Now for your bulkhead at the Anchor ⚓️ looker I would us Star 🌟 bord. It is a very dense fiberglass bord . You can get in two colors. Black or white. And it is paintable! And it comes in 1/4 or 1/2 or 1 inch thick and in 4 by 8 feet sheets. It is very strong and it want Rot. And you want to sand down the the barrier coat. But after you sand it down that far. I would paint on two coats of New Barrier coats thin if you can put on Copper coat. Now if you can't put on Copper coat. Then you can do what I did and use a hard bottom paint and add Copper to your pair. It well last about 5 to 6 years. It worked for me on my Boat 🚢. It is mid June and it is 2:53 a.m. And I am out here looking at the Moon light reflection of the Ocean. Can't wait to see ya'lls sails on the Horizon someday. How cold is it it? Is it diesel? Is it parafon based? Maybe the fuel is thickening as the parafon congeals due to the cold. Use Non-parafon based diesel.

If your VHF has an aux port in the back then you can install a small cheap speaker in the cockpit and plug it in via aux cable. i have one in my cockpit that allows me to hear the radio on the helm even when it's connected down below.

I have the same boat! What type/types of zincs do you have? Mostly what shaft zinc you have? Brand? Thread? Is there enough room for a shaft zinc?

Lovin' your videos! Ever go sailing in northern Ontario? I'm playing catchup :) We just left our first sailboat that we're gonna be selling- near Manitoulin- and moved to Nova Scotia- big learning curve with our 41' Island Trader :) Curious- if you sail up to Killarney, flit over to Manitoulin, enjoy the beautiful best fresh water sailing of the Benjamins-- and cross over at the Sault and go down the Missisippi? Come back up via the intercoastal?

So glad you are following your dreams and plans.😊 I don’t know if that was a bladder for your water or not but if so I strongly advise having a plan to put a sturdy tank in if u want to sail on the ocean, they will leak at some point. Never give up😊👍🏼

Awesome video on the boat wrap… sorry I missed the premier last night I checked and did not get a notification of it… I am guessing that it is getting close to removing the bubble and re-stepping the mast and getting ready for some test sailing….
