I make this all the time but I prefer it with 2 tsp of salt. I love it with diced fresh jalapeños and cheddar cheese folded in. You can add any herbs or seasonings you like. It’s much easier if you place it on parchment paper for the final 30 min rest and use it to transfer paper and all into the heated Dutch oven.
@@donnie420ish I add them when you first take it out of the bowl after it rises. I flatten it a bit and then add a layer and fold it over. Did you use 2 tablespoons of yeast or two teaspoons? I want to make this but someone in the comments said two teaspoons. The video says two tablespoons.
0:10 The yeast measurement is in fact 2 teaspoons NOT 2 Tablespoons. I’m new to baking and followed her recipe exactly and the bread had a strong yeast flavor. Love this video, hate that I wasted ingredients😢. Will be attempting again though.
I don’t believe the 2 tbsp in the recipe is a mistake at all. There are many, many recipes here on TH-cam that call for one or even two tablespoons of yeast. If you use 2 tsp you will have to proof the dough for a LOT longer. Hours longer. More yeast means shorter proofing time. I’ve done it many times, although I usually use 1 or 1.5 tbsp of yeast. No strong yeast flavor in my experience. Try it with one tablespoon, I bet you’ll like it.

Thanks from Paris. Great recipe. First try and it looks awesome. At first glance not very different from what you get at the bakery. Golden on top, super crusty outside, soft and bouncy inside. I would agree with some of the comments suggesting less yeast (it kiiinda smells a little) and more salt (tastes a little plain for my liking). But that's a great basis. I did knead a little because I had time and wanted to try. I don't have a cast iron pot so went for those thinner elongated ones you cook meat in. Thanks to you, I now have the confidence to carry on and improve on that basis, although it's close to perfect. Be blessed
I used bread flour and I really think that this recipe should be cut back to 3 cups of flour to the 1 1/2 cups of water ratio because mine was way heavy on the flour at 4 cups. I will try this recipe a few more times just to see what works best for me. Thank you for posting. you made a lovely video.
You do need to add a tiny bit of water to obtain the right dough consistency, however the instructions are correct. Otherwise, it would be too easy to end up with overly sticky dough. It's all about learning the optimal "feel" of the dough. I also add about one tbsp olive oil to mine. ❤ Love this recipe!

That is a good, simple recipe. I made bread using a similar recipe, but I like this one even better, so I will be trying it. My only criticism-a very mild one-is that the “turning over” of the dough was a lot more than “once or twice.”
Dani from malaysia.. Tried making the bread.. its not bad.. nicely cooked and cruncy on the outside.. just need add half table spoon sugar while adding the yeast and to add another 2 tablespoon on water after kneeding to get a good consistency.. maybe add another half tablespoon of salt to make it taste nicer..

Hello….I found your video….I read the comments…. I tried two times to get my dough like yours. I read over and over to make sure I didn’t mistake anything. My dough was so dry…. Both times. I even used a different flour the second time thinking it was the bread flour I was using..yours said flour….not bread flour…so I made a second batch. Same thing….I tried adding more water….it was to dense and definitely not like yours. I put it in bowls and did everything else you instructed. I bake it. I thought what do I have to loose at his point. It looked beautiful…the crust crunchy….the inside was dense….not airy…bubbly ….looking. Please tell me why this is happening? All the comments were wonderful. I just don’t know! Thank you….😊
A common mistake with flour is sticking your measuring cup directly into the flour and scooping it out with it. You’ll end up with more flour in the recipe than it calls for which makes things dry and dense. Use a spoon to scoop out the flour then put it in your measuring cup (essentially fluff the flour). This should solve your problem. It’s one of those things in baking that is assumed people know. The amount of times I made dry pie crust, until I saw a video showing me that tip, it changed everything.
All right, this is my first bread ever. My wife’s an excellent baker. But I’m a kitchen scientist & today I wanted to make my own. Perhaps I’ll succeed.
Made it like you show, aside from the obvious typo.. family liked it.. One thing I was taught by our bush camp cook , was to use approx 2 teaspoon of dry active yeast per 4 1/2 cups of bread flour.. rising time takes what it takes.
I just let it to raise for half and hour and after foiled over spreaded flour, I straight away put in the oven. I like the bread dense inside. ❤ from Malacca, l🇲🇾
We are from Texas USA, new to making bread with only a few loafs under our belt. This was easy but we had to adjust it a little bit. It says 2 TBSP or 10g yeast. 10g of yeast is 2.5 tsp. We used 2.5 g active dry yeast and it turned out fine. I think next time we will use less flour maybe 3 to 3.5 cups of unbleached all purpose flour. All in all it was very easy to make and delicious!
Thank you for creating a bread making video under 5 minutes. Also, the end result of your bread is beautiful.Looking forward too attempting this recipe.

I'm from Cornwall in South West England. This is the simplest recipe for "quick bread" I have ever seen. Fingers crossed it turns out as magnificent as your pictures portray. Where in Germany do you come from ? I have 1 comment to make. - mention turning on the oven to 220 C earlier in the making process, so that the oven has enough time to reach the required heat to cook the dough. I always allow perhaps 20 minutes to get the oven to the correct temperature. Apart from that, your recipe method is perfect. Later this week, I will have time in a day to make this. Bye......
Hello! Thank you very much I am very pleased! I'm from Serbia! You are right, this is a correct remark! I'll be waiting for your feedback when you try baking bread! Have a good day!
@@yelenagary8197 I did 25 minutes 230C on the convection-oven setting, and then lowered it to 200C changed to normal heat setting, for another 15 minutes. The last 15min basically depends on how you want the crust (from what I gather)
My son just made this for dinner, two of them. He messed up on the yeast adding in less lol but it still came out alright. The dough was tough so we kept adding in water. Nonetheless got two nice round breads and made a memorable dinner with my son. Thanks for the video ❤

This is a great recipe, my recipe the bread goes straight from the bowl after rising right into the crockpot, rises a little more and then into the oven you don’t touch the bread I really love the presentation of this video. Great job thank you for sharing and all your hard work.❤
I just tried making bread for the first time with this recipe. Well, it's baking in the oven now. I am inexperienced, but I think 4 cups of flour was a little too much. I'm going with 3.5 next time. I'm sick of poisonous store bought bread. I can't wait for this one to be finished. Hot Dog and hamburger buns are next! Thank you for sharing this simple recipe.
Halo, In from Miami, Florida, USA. Love the simple and easy steps. Your loaf has a great medium crumb and looks like it has a good chew as well. Love the crispy crust. Im sure it will go great paired with my vegitable beef stew. Yum!!!❤❤
Is there a typo in the recipe for the amount of yeast? I used 2 Tbsp and it was way too much. The bread came out extremely heavy and dense. I was using the packets of instant yeast and so each one is about a tbsp so I used 2. Can you clarify what type of yeast and exactly the amount used? I also used bread flour so not sure if that makes a difference. Thanks.
Excuse me but one of the ingredients you list in your recipe, the measurement is incorrect. And you know baking has to be precise. You list two tablespoons of yeast and you say it's 10 g. That is incorrect. Two tablespoons of yeast equals 34 grams! You really need to change that or people that are going to be trying your recipe are going to come out with a horrible yeast taste! It should be no more than two and a half to three teaspoons of yeast at the most.
I'm from Oklahoma USA, made the bread and we will be making it again and again it's so good!!!

Making my 1st ever bread with your recipe. So far so good. In the oven soon. Turned out beautiful! San Diego, California)
Made a double batch of this bread and it was great. Thank you.
All in all it was very easy to make and delicious!
try to get BREAD flour without gluten better for the liver gluten in latin means GLUE so no good for health
Thank you for creating a bread making video under 5 minutes. Also, the end result of your bread is beautiful.Looking forward too attempting this recipe.

Aloha, from Hawaii USA. Love the simple steps. I have failed twice at making sourdough bread and have been afraid to try any more bread recipes . I will give yours a try! Thank you for sharing.
Did it work
how'd it go? everyones been waiting 9 months for you to give us a follow up. a woman could have baked a whole baby by now
@@demonmod 😂. Yes, my daughter in law did bake a baby since and I have still not attempted another sourdough! Just received some sourdough starter in the mail though! 🤞🏼
@@shirleyefting5194 i made this bread while waiting for your reply. it went straight into the trash can, lol. good thing you didn't waste your time!

I just found out my family is from Gdansk. I hope to go there someday. The pictures of the pretty houses are wonderful.
Hello thank you for the upload of making BREAD 🍞🥖. Looks very delicious with a little butter and cheese 🧀. I am from the Caribbean Island Nation of Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹.
Thank you. thank you thank you. so very good instructions, so very good stuff!!!!!
Hi, If we don’t want to use the iron pot and directly bake it in oven what should be the temperature and how long it should take?
I was wondering the exact same question but no response from her
@@yelenagary8197 I did 25 minutes 230C on the convection-oven setting, and then lowered it to 200C changed to normal heat setting, for another 15 minutes.
Artisan bread style
🥰🥰🥰🥰
Great recipe!
Made it. It turned out so good. Thank you!
Your recipes ate easy and very good Thankyou ..from India
I have this recipe on my channel. This is a great recipe, my recipe the bread goes straight from the bowl after rising right into the crockpot, rises a little more and then into the oven you don’t touch the bread I really love the presentation of this video. Great job thank you for sharing and all your hard work.❤
Nice and easy . Am re-starting to bake again! - from the Philippines
I am from Chile the southernmost country in America. I will do this bread right now!!!!
Looks amazing, gonna try it tomorrow.
Thanks ❤
Hello, my friend!!!
No oil?
First try, very easy and delicious. Thank you so much.
you got to love how the title is. "no knead bread" and then you proceed to knead the heck out of it.
That is not kneading the heck out of it.
That is folding not kneading. Guess it does the same thing though.
That's definitely not kneading at all
You've never kneaded before :p.
Shut up
I added garlic and herb seasoning, turned out awesome. Thanks!
Halo, In from Miami, Florida, USA. Love the simple and easy steps. Your loaf has a great medium crumb and looks like it has a good chew as well. Love the crispy crust. Im sure it will go great paired with my vegitable beef stew. Yum!!!❤❤
Used this video and recipe for my first ever attempt at bread making. Success! Many thanks.
Thanks.
I think the packets are 1.5 TB so double check that because if you use 2 then you put 3 TB.
Packets are instant, I believe she used regular
Use scales and make sure you got 7 grams should be enough, 10g for a small loaf is overkill
Made my first loaf using this recipe! Very good!

Best video ever! No talking!!
Sou do Brasil muito bom aprender..😊
Olá!! Estou contente por te ver!
Esté pan sé puede hacer con harina integral. GRACIAS.
Noticed that too, 2 TEAspons of my instant yeast only weighs 7g.
Well I just wasted 2 tbsp of yeast, I'm new to this🫠
And this comment is not even acknowledged 💀
Well, ok
I made this recipe and i used 10 grams of yeast. It came out perfect.
Hola desde España
Hice este pan y me salió roquisimo

I will try pretty soon. Love the clean oven LOL. 😊
