- Added some new black powder coated stainless tips to the Crown Vic. Took some adaptation to make them fit but it was worth it in the end. Car already has Magnaflow Magnapacks on it.

Yes, you can definable tell the difference with the speakers on my phone, and laptop.
The dead cat on the mic really helped.
If you have time later, I would love to hear some in-car mic clips just driving around normal, or even trying to sneak up on other motorists.
If I saw that thing in my rear view mirror, it would be fear, then joy as you took off wide open throttle. lol
Thanks BPF. The color has really grown on us. When we got the car it was all about how it needs to be painted ASAP but now not so much lol. More sound clips can be had in the future. :)

How did the black powder coat hold up on the exhaust tips? Did it start to chip, flake or peel like lots of reviews say? Really want to get a set for my cvpi. Thanks!!!
These things still look like new. Even after several winters of use. Very happy with the finish.
Is you’re crown Vic stock power wise or did you do something with it? Because mine is stock and I ordered a flowmaster exhaust muffler that’s 3 inch

@@PNW_Car_Mods ok I wanted to be sure. Because I saw on a forum that they said getting a 3 inch exhaust for a stock is bad or only should be used for high performance cars which I never heard of. Thank you for replying, they just arrived today haha
@@kavehhashemi9448 I hear ya. only the tips are 3.5 inches. The tailpipes are still the factory 2 inch tubing.

Looks good, however he says fantastic and you can hardly hear a damn thing. Way too quiet for me.
This car is far from quiet John. As a daily driver I would not want it any louder. The mufflers have lost a lot of not all their packing so it's not far off of straight piped.
I think I need to upgrade to the setup you have
The car sounds fantastic and now the it has a few thousand miles on this setup it's a bit louder now that the packing in mufflers is going away or packed in tighter if that makes sense.
I know what you mean...I had flowmaster delta 40's but switched to aero turbines, which sounds better.I also ordered a sprint booster throttle controller too😁

I like the car but the truck caught my eye, is that the black edition? I had an 06 for 5 years, one of my favorite rides... I’ve been debating on getting one as I am due for something newer.
Check out some of my other Controversial Honda Ridgeline towing vids lol. It's a 2017 that we bought sight unseen in sept of 2016 from our local dealer. The truck has been absolutely perfectly fantastic for us. It is not a BE as we just couldn't justify the price of a BE for what you get. This is a black RTL-T. Sadly she will likely be getting traded in next spring.

I've seen that done a few times. Some cars seem to be worse than others with the cover sag. This one is not that bad. Its low on the priority list lol.

This car sounds amazing. Do you think to loud for a daily? I don't want to irritate the neighbors or make long trips a headache. There is an 18 inch version of these isn't there? I might try those on my vic
I think it is absolutely perfect all around and is not too loud for daily driving. I would NOT want it any louder though. As far as the mufflers used check out our video of actually replacing them if you haven't already.

I have a 97 marquis doing the exhaust this week how long are the magnapacks? and did they get louder over time? This sounds pretty good to me mean but not crazy loud.
THey sound great but they have developed a bit of drone as they've gotten more miles on them. It's not unbearable but I don't like it either. IIRC these were 15" long.
@@PNW_Car_Mods I ordered 2X 11225 magnaflow mufflers. The only other thing I need to figure out is the piping. I can get walker stuff but its made of aluminized steel and won't last long. I want stainless piping and hardware. I figure I will have to get an h-pipe and tailpipes made to fit by a local shop.

Most HI it's literally just some 3/8s round bar shaped like a question mark hooked through the factory hanger welded to the sides of the new tips. The hangers look simple. It's the adapters that get tricky as far as making something in the garage IMO.
Oh nice! I’m looking to get some new tips on, and I could be mistaken, but it looks like I’ll need to lower the tailpipes a little. Won’t be sure until I get them in, but I’m trying to think of ideas just in case.
@@mosthiclothingsupply7295 If you lower the whole exhaust that can work. We wanted to try and keep the tips somewhat parallel to the ground and to do that it really takes an adapter pipe. Either way works. Just depends on the looks you're after.
MRBLACK947 I see. Ya that’s the look I’m going for as well, just wasn’t sure how to achieve it. I’ve seen a lot of Vics with exhaust tips that slightly point towards the ground and I’m trying to avoid that.

Setina. Its the aluminum version as well so it doesn't weigh a ton.

I think it is. It will also depend on what you watched the video on to include speakers vs headphones vs a crappy cellphone speaker.
MRBLACK947 I used my headphones since they pick up sound better. Been thinking about getting 18 in exhaust tips for a while and I wanted to know if they do anything different in sound
Was your exhaust system welded or clamped on?
Jester, the magnaflow glasspacks are welded in and the new tips are clamped on to welded in adapters. The tips are still tack welded so they can't come loose but made to be replaceable more easily. I hope that makes sense.
how bad is the droning sound on the highway?
Now that all the glass is burned out of the mufflers it's getting bad enough I don't like it. We may make a muffler change this fall. It sounds good outside otherwise.
