There are a few video clips/tutorials out there that show people using these devices and how they work but none of them showed the accessories in the detail that this guy did. Not just using them but explaining what each one is for and showing how to attach them and advice on using tape. All in all big thumbs up. The only down side that he didn't show is that my version, the free version of the app admittedly, had ads all over the place that are a real annoyance, too large with kill buttons that are too small!!!
FYI, that "dirty water" performs a very important function. It prevents sewer gases from coming into your bathroom which stink profusely. It's called a "water trap" for that reason - it traps water to keep the gases from rising. Virtually all drains have them, especially those in a house. Thanks for the vid.
Great for checking the inside of your car engine - take the spark plugs out and you can check the state of your pistons without even removing the head its a great tool but the optics really need to be better than 640 x 480 and the resolution it uses. Thats why its so difficult to see things in tight spaces with the led light used.

I think that drain plug either unthreads or pulls straight out to give you much more clearance.
I realize this is an older video, but there is an endoscope that has an "additional" *type c adapter*, and if you are like me and my father you likely just assumed it would work, but look closely it isn't actually connected too the brain so too speak, if you look on the back of the TYPE C, you'll notice a micro-usb slot. After or before take a look at the usb, you can "split" it and out pops a micro usb (that can be used with or without the type c adapter) plug the Type-C adapter into the micro-usb, then plug it into the type c phone.
Well done! Def one of the best reviews/tutorials on these gadgets. Was on the fence on whether or not to get one, but after this, I'm sold! Off to buy one right now. Seriously! Thanks for saving me a lot of researching time and potential headaches! 💕
There are different ones by different manufacturers, most from unknown factories, mine freezes as soon as it shows a totally out of focus freeze frame and crashes, $12 down the drain

Omg the 3rd time was a charm 😆🤣😂 especially when you dropped the bit 😳 😆 I agree with ya about you could just disconnect the P trap but it is nasty and stinks and the magnet was more fun. You should have took a sniff of the magnet and camera lol you would have threw up 😆. Again, great comedian video.
got exact same one looks like yours, it worked one time, then i tried a diff. app and thats it, never worked again, tried multiple diff. apps, nothing! only the led turns on thats it, any suggestions what might be wrong? thanks

This is an interesting device; thanks for the review. However in this case where you were really blindly wiggling the magnet around to catch the bit, I think you could have had the same result without the camera! I still want one.
good fishing... try removing the stopper next time to see if it's easier..

I just brought one of these but it isn't wokring with my note 4 running android marshmellow. I tried it with my girlfriends moto G and still nothing. Wondered if it was our phones or the camera so I plugged it into my laptop and it works fine. LED's light up though when plugged into my phone just doesn't recognize the camera have used several different apps and OTG works fine as I've plugged my wireless mouse into my note 4 and it works fine. Any ideas on how to fix it?
Now if only we could rig that tiny camera at the end of a fishing line so we could get a live view of what fish can be hooked before it can be pulled up.

The camera I got from Gearbest did work - but unfortunately not for long.
It's not robust enough for anything other than a simple application. in a reasonably wide pipe.

I am using an S6 with an OTG adapter, tried with two actually, with no luck, using the supported software (CameraFi). It is not recognizing the camera. I tried some other apps as well as some OTG apps to no avail. Any ideas on making connectivity work?
I tried 3 different phones before I got it to work. Huawei Moto7 and then a Samsung, and if the 45-degree mirror doesn't work it probably has a plastic protective film that must be removed
The water in the drain is to keep sewer smells out , it's called a J Trap

The water is supposed to be there to 'water lock' drain from sewer odors! Thats why all drains should have that drain "hook" piece below the sink drain & below the level of the pipe to the actual sewer drain pipe. on drains that are not used very often, you should pour a couple cups of water down them matbe every couple of months, more often if you smell sewage!!

i can't understand how people give this review thumbs up. He just got lucky to snag the screw bit, not because of the camera. He could have just stick in mag-pole into to drain in blind to catch the bit. The camera could not show anything. Not a good review.

Water pools on the bottom of that pipe because it is a stop against the gas leak that would leak up if that water was not there and you do not want to eliminate that water because the gas from the sewer is horrid
..the water in the bend of the drain is keeping sewer gas from venting into you home..it's very important..oh, be sure to clean you camara & magnet and cord, and sanitize your hands aswell..I like to pour some toilet bowel cleanser down all the drains (allow it to sit about 5 minutes) in my home annually..anyhow, good job with that camera..

There should be water in the trap. It keeps the sewer gases from coming back up through. If no water you have a problem.man.
