    Common on gbodys especially with tilt!...you sometimes you gotta turn the wheel slightly and the key will usually turn in both directions!

    What pulley instalation tool did you use to get the power steering pulley to go back far to line up .

    • @SlowCarFix
      @SlowCarFix  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't use a special tool. It's a smaller pulley. Dorman plastic pulley from rock auto

    Is that a 5.3 intake? I’m having the same issue with the hood clearance. If so can you include a part number for the adapter? Thanks!

    • @SlowCarFix
      @SlowCarFix  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it's a stock 5.3L intake. I don't have the part number but it's a Holley part and will show on their site. Hope that helps.

    Awesome. Question how did you get the motor to go in with all the original belt accessories. Does the power steering pump pulley hit the. Steering box

    • @SlowCarFix
      @SlowCarFix  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used a smaller power steering pulley and a shorter belt. I just did the same thing on my 57 truck. Worked great.

    What kinda tuning did u have to do like what else besides VATS did u have to delete

    • @SlowCarFix
      @SlowCarFix  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good question. I'm not a tuning guy. It had a rough/shop tune from the guy that I got the harness and computer from. After it was complete on this car, I took it for a dyno tune for a more finished tune.

    On ebay they have a lope for heater hose jump

    • @SlowCarFix
      @SlowCarFix  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah this is just temporary to move it around. I'm going to connect the heater hose to the core when I replace the heater box.

    What engine mounts and what's the part # I have a 2001 4.8 truck engine .
    I need mounts and header info.
    Thankx

    • @SlowCarFix
      @SlowCarFix  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did a video on it. Made the clamshell mounts myself and used ICT's SBC adapter plates. The headers are from Amazon and I don't recommend them.

  • @paulpross6039
    @paulpross6039 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Awesome video what headers are you using?

    • @SlowCarFix
      @SlowCarFix  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think they're generic LS headers from Amazon. I would not recommend them. I would recommend going with a brand name quality header and GM manifold gaskets. I have trouble after a while getting them to seal at the collector gaskets. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

    What harness are you running on your build.

    • @SlowCarFix
      @SlowCarFix  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not a store bought harness, it's an oem harness re worked by a local guy.

    What bottom radiator hose

    • @SlowCarFix
      @SlowCarFix  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I show the part numbers in another video but it's a stock F body lower radiator hose and the upper is a stock 2010 Chevy truck.

    Hi where did you get your wire harness from

    • @SlowCarFix
      @SlowCarFix  3 ปีที่แล้ว
