As a 15 year asset trader, there's a certain threshold, around $2m, where its difficult not to make more money, and the game becomes increasingly easy and pointless. Also, the more money you have, the more you have to guard yourself with other people.

Truly, once the amount of money hits a critical mass you can earn a lawyer's salary by using incredibly safe and low-risk investments that would at best yield a little supplemental grocery money each month for average working-class people. People commenting on the attitude of David, can’t help but feel confused. None of us could possibly understand what it feels like to live a life like his, I feel like everyone in this comment section struggles to try and put themselves in his shoes… I cannot see how he is full of himself at all… he’s describing his life and just being himself, money probably is a game to him as he’s extremely rich, why does this anger some people? He probably had slept with many models, why does this anger people? Sounds like jealousy, and what… if he just didn’t speak of these things that makes him humble? Why are people saying this was a hard watch??? People just can’t handle someone being real with it anymore..

David is a really interesting guy. When he was young his art was really pure and mesmerizing. He had this show with his cousin and they hitchhiked all across the country. One episode they hopped trains and hitchhiked from San Diego to Alaska. They would meet different characters and have really cool adventures. I also enjoyed the episodes with his parents in them and how their family interacted was really sweet and pure. Watching those episodes, admiring his art and keeping up with those adventures inspired me a lot.
Now listening to this clip and watching the other podcast he did with Rogan makes me understand that this guy has had some of the most epic scary adventures most humans can only dream of having. He does come off like a pompous ass in this but the dude has experienced and seen shit even Rogan can’t even comprehend. Research a bit about what he has done and places his been it will blow your mind🤯

Here’s the fun fact, most people in this world are in fact more like him that image that people put up, the facade you see in good ol suburbs of society.
Most people are too afraid to show who they really are, because of repercussions from society
But when you’ve got the money he has, he doesn’t give a crap about getting canceled or doing anything that complies with sheep society.🤷‍♂️
Most people think he’s living a delusional life but the ones who are delusional never ever thinks of one thing which is that maybe they themselves are the ones living in the delusional world created by norms of society and the other so called delusional guy is actually living the life of a real human being.
What I’m trying say is without the society telling you that you need to grow up, get a job, get a wife and kids and then live out the rest of your life eating, drinking beer and watching tv

Anyone can be successful, if it’s the only thing you focus on. It’s like being in shape, or good at a video game. If that’s the only thing you focus on, you’ll succeed. But do you really want that?
I’m much happier focusing on my wife and daughter. I enjoy working my 9-5 and I don’t want to have to dedicate 100 hours a week of my life, potentially for the next 30 years, just trying to make money. To me that’s foolish. But, if that’s what you want, that’s what you can do.

It's because everything gets boring once you achieve it. People who make millions or Billions stop feeling anything for it. And when you become financially free permanently then you lose a major aspect of life - which is working to survive. This is why so many retired people become depressed or aimless.
The issue though is they have money to fall back on. They won't go homeless if they don't work. So people who say money doesn't mean anything are able to do so because they don't need to worry about obtaining it.
If Choe was bankrupt and suddenly couldn't afford food - then suddenly money would absolutely be important again.
I think what Choe really means is the pursuit of money itself isn't fulfilling. Or it won't satisfy you when you reach it. The fact that so many rich people tell you this probably means it's true.
But that still doesn't change the fact we need money to live. And having wealth frees you up to pursue passions. So to the vast majority of the population who are working to survive, these kind of messages ring hollow.
But I do understand what Choe really means. He's just saying that becoming wealthy and famous isn't as rewarding as society makes it out to be. But him reaching wealth has now freed him up to pursue things that are actually fulfilling (spirituality and traveling).

You’ll be in the woods somewhere doing things that “YOU” actually wanted to do
But few are actually brave enough to face our real selves because that really means abandoning every social structure placed on you and no one’s wants to deal with change, most peoples are creatures of habit and they love their comfortability and standing on the high horse and saying everyone that doesn’t live life in their herd like world have something wrong with them

Just to be clear, it's entirely possible David Cho "worked hard" and "Got Lucky" at the same time. And the "Got Lucky" part probably pulled a lot more of that 100 million he made than "Working Hard" and that 100 million pulled way more 10's than his funny jokes. That's why so many rich and successful people are like this guy, trying so hard to find something "real" because they realize they were just tools for more powerful people and they feel guilty that they won the rich man lottery. They also feel like they wasted their life being that tool because they're not happy with the result, despite being rich and having tons of sex. People want so much to find value in themselves because they think that makes them happy, when the truth is that finding value in others is usually what makes you happy, that's why we decide to have kids and raise them to be better than us.
