    Nice video! I'm 155cm tall with shorter legs than average, so it's nice to see actual short women rider doing videos!
    I have a Z650 as well that I was lucky to find almost new from a lady as tall as me! So it was already lowered and with the lower seat from Kawasaki. I was also lucky to have a rider friend who drove me around to different dealers to sit on bikes and see what would fit! I found out that I would not have much choice, either a Z650 or a Honda rebel 500. The latter not being my style, not available in the used market around me and having a wait time of at least 2 months for a new model, I didn't have much choice left. Thankfully it was for the bike I liked the most!

    Can lower the bike with shorter shock springs. The front forks can be pushed up through the triple trees. Just experiment and realize your bike will also be easy to scrape when you have lowered it. Can change or modify your seat.

    I’m a short rider , I ride cruisers , most are nice and low . Harley used to do a super low sportster . Triumph Speedmaster was another low cruiser I had and was great .cruisers are more than capable of keeping up with everyday traffic and very easy to ride at lower speeds .

      The super low Sportster only placed a lowering kit in front forks ( shorter springs and less spacer). A real poor effort from Harley.

    The z650 is a great bike for the shorter rider. Im 5ft and I've just grabbed a z400. It's really quite similar in size and height!
    My dealer was great, he actually leant on the back of the bike for me to simulate what it would be like once lowered.
    Good videos so far!

      Thank you, I’m first thought was a Z400, but couldn’t get hold of one. I love the Z650 and now it’s adjusted to my height it’s so easy to ride. I have a few more videos to post, a little more on protecting the bike, but also adding a few accessories. 😀

    I'm about 5' 4" all my bikes I've left standard CBR600RR,CBR1100XX Super Blackbird,CBR1000RR,
    Gen1 ZZR1400,Gen2 ZZR1400 Performance Sport,picking up my H2 SX next month.
    You only need to look at Jocelin Snow to realise that short people can ride big bikes.

    Thanks for this, my wife has just stepped up to a Ninja 650 from a lowered R3 and is really struggling with the weight of the bike and its a bit dangerous in traffic. Will order the lust kit now for her and see how that goes.
    How do you get the front forks lowered?

      Hi, i had asked for the adjustments at the point of purchase, I didn’t actually make the change myself I’m afraid.

    Hello, regarding the sculpted lower seat. Do you happen to have a part number for it ?
    Was it an accessory ? Currently it does not appear on the Kawasaki website.
    Thanks

    Hi, I’ve just bought the z650 & had it lowered (I’m 5’1”). How much was the lowered seat? Did you adjust your side stand?

    • @mrszedrunner2050
      @mrszedrunner2050  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, I had the seat and suspension links done at the same time for one price, the seat from memory was around £200. But you can go to specialist fabricators to make one for you, price will be about the same though. I haven’t yet adjusted the stand but I will do as she is a little upright in my opinion.

    I would love to know how much was your bike lowered. My dealer said its not possible🙁 i am around 5 4 short and really want full feet on the ground

      I had a slim factory seat fitted which gave me max 25mm and the lust links gave me another 30mm, at 5 foot I have no problems with my feet in the floor. And having that stability also makes the Wright easier to manage. I don’t feel short on my bike, abs I don’t feel the bike is too big for me.

      Sorry about the typos, the weight of the bike is not an issue, if I stop on a camber I can hold the weight of the bike with my legs, which I can’t do if I’m in my toes. Here’s a link for lust links, you might find that useful shop.lustracing.com/products/lust-racing-2017-2018-kawasaki-z650-lowering-kit-30mm-ride-change

    i really want to have my own bigbike but im struggling with my height hahah im only 5.3" ... and the bike that i want is soo heavyyyyyyyyy

    • @mrszedrunner2050
      @mrszedrunner2050  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The height of the bike makes it heavier, as you can’t maximise the big muscles in your legs. Try making an artificial floor which would make the bike seem lower, and you will see how different the weight feels. I don’t struggle at all with my Z650, which has a kerbside weight of 191kg
