    I've finally taken 2023 Haval H6 GT Couple SUV for a test drive and ready to share my honest opinion of a 2022 Haval H6 Lux owner on the quality and extra features of H6GT, and if it's worth upgrading to this fancier and newer model.
    Haval H6GT has a lot going for it with its sportier looks and more pleasant interior finishes, but is it worth spending extra money on in 2023? Let's discuss. 😎👍

    I went from a 2019 Haval H2 lux (back when lux was top model) to 2022 H6 lux.
    Because I needed the boot space for work items the slope of the GT wouldn’t work for me.
    I chose lux because I don’t take passengers often so don’t need electric passenger seat, I can park a car myself, the few times a week I open the boot aren’t going to kill me and I used the sunroof all of 3 times while I had one in my H2 so I couldn’t justify the added cost of an ultra or a vanta.
    The jump in price to hybrid was also a little steep. While the Lux Hybrid is due shortly it will still be quite a premium cost over the standard lux.

      Sounds like a massive improvement in quality of life from H2 to H6 mate, and also glad to hear that you decided to stay with Haval after years of owning H2 - this gives me hope and confidence that you thought the car quality etc was worth buying another one! 👍

    I looked at the Kia Sportage, I really liked them. But then I started looking at the Haval H6, great looking car with all the added features. Then I seen the Haval H6 GT, the ultra has extra things, but I test drove the GT LUX.
    I've never being a fan of sun roofs or heads up display, I test drove the LUX twice and I was sold on it, there are 2 issues I have come across, 1 being the Bluetooth mic and 2 being the cruise control, other than that its a great car which I totally love having and the fact I get around 690 KS to a tank of fuel..

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  ปีที่แล้ว

      Cruise Control and ELK are main issues I have with the car, and I haven't tested Bluetooth mic. Otherwise the value is unbeatable and certainly higher pound-for-pound than KIA offers these days.

    Hi Dimitri. I just purchased the GT Ultra 3 wks ago. spent 15k more than planned but glad i did. Your vids really helped me make the final decision to go with HAVAL. I'm probably in that niche market you mentioned - couple with no kids so the GT suited us. The extra for the Ultra was a hard choice - but as you said you love your bling grill, the extra bits on the Ultra did it for me :). Interesting point about the HUD. On my shortcut screen I've also got the choice for 'snow' HUD. It changes the text to blue and makes it a lot more visible. Keep up the good work with no nonsense videos. Can't stand all these 'paid' reviewers that will diss the HAVAL for something, but then say it's great on another vehicle.

      Thanks mate and glad you like your GT, great choice for a couple - even if you had kids, I think you could fit them in. Oh I didn't know you could change the look of the HUD, that's good to know!

    Hi Dimitri,
    Me and my wife went for a test drive on the GT this weekend and we loved. She is highly considering buying one on the same colour as the one you made this video. The “stupid” thing on the visor is actually for you to store for example a car park card for a garage. You can slide them behind the little flap so you don’t misplace them. The exhaust sound on the GT is amazing too.
    If we get one I will comment my experience for you about the car.
    Great videos and keep up with the great work

    Same with you man, I felt Haval 6 lux is more valuable on money. In H6 GT, they did improve some accessories for the car such as interior material, seats and tires. But are they worth to pay about 6k higher than h6 lux? By the way I like leather feeling more than the material used in GT. Leather always looks new when it is clean, and the material in GT would look older after few years driving.

    G'day Dimitri. I hope you're going okay. An update from me. At last we have the H6 we dreamt of owning. Picked it up last week and it is fantastic. Just under 2 years old. It is the Ultra 4WD in 'Energy Green'.
    Something I saw on Utube a couple of nights ago watching an Australian review of a brand new H6 Hybrid. He was talking about the 'Intelligent Driving' set up and he mentioned that the 'Lane Keep Assist' will now remain off if selected in the Hybrid. I am not sure if he meant until the ignition is switched off and on again. Would be interesting to know if any H6 Hybrid owners could confirm. The software pack looked almost identical apart from the battery condition features.
    I enjoyed your review regarding your MG brakes and you putting the 'Chinese bashers' in their place. I agree they must be blind or stupid and never look at manufacturers labels.
    Take care of yourself. Until next time. Cheers, Chris. Sunshine Coast. 🙂👍

      Hey thanks for checking in, Chris. Regarding Lane Keep Assist - H6 has 2 functions, as you'll see in the settings. Lane Keeping and EMERGENCY Lane Keeping. The first one (does nothing?) and CAN be turned off permanently even in my non-hybrid H6. Emergency LK keeps coming back on when you restart the engine. Wait for my Omoda 5 video for comparison on the "invasiveness" scale though! 😉

      I think GT is a choice made purely for the looks of the car, everything else (other than the interior finishes) is identical. And given that GT climbs into that category pushing against the established brands, it's a less obvious choice than buying a solid baseline H6 (for well under $40k)

    My opinion is the Haval gt should have more power than the normal H6 .For that reason I would probably go the H6 and not the GT because you get the same power for less money .

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I agree. GT should always mean more power, just due to the label, otherwise it's somewhat misleading

    • @alexi21san
      @alexi21san ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ValueCarsAU Definitely should mean more power otherwise it’s all show no go .Better choice to not get the GT while saving money .

    • @autodetailingandpart
      @autodetailingandpart ปีที่แล้ว

      The GT may have the same power on paper but has more punch even in economy mode our GT is the same specs as the South Africa mode and they say the 155kw and 325 nm this would be right in saying it has more punch then the standard h6 I own the h6 GT ultra and I love it

  • @life-du8du
    @life-du8du ปีที่แล้ว +3

    You should make a test drive review because the performance is better than the normal H6
    There is race mode in the car that will change everything in the car from the speed and exhaust sound and including other mods as well...
    If you can please make test drive review
    And thank you

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I will, if an opportunity presents itself. The car drives the same (more or less, not splitting hairs here) around town in city traffic. Maybe on some race track it would feel different (that's a big maybe with the same engine and the other specs, regardless of "modes") - but who would buy this car as a racing car in the first place? it's a show-off city Coupe, that's what it is, and it's not a bad thing.

    Ultra is just too expensive. The value equation doesn't work. They won't sell many but they will be a good buy secondhand as they won't retain their premium.

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I do agree that Ultra is on "a little too much" side, they should have kept it south of $45k price point with EVERY bell and whistle available.
