    The way we make tea here in Arkansas is, 2 large tea bags in a 3 cup measuring cup, fill with water , put in micro wave for 6 to 7 minutes. Add to gallon pitcher, your sugar then fill with water. stir and enjoy.

    Hi Angela, great video. I felt like you was talking to me the whole time. You are such a sweet person and a really good mom. I don’t know anyone who cooks fresh meals all week. When I was a young mom I went back to work and school when my youngest son started school. It was rare but sometimes I cooked big homemade meals. I couldn’t imagine doing it daily. I take lots of short cuts but I do cook almost daily now.
    I’m totally with you concerning our food sources. I’m not in the situation to buy a cow, get to a farm, or afford to order meat like you. I hope to be there one day. We are making progress. I’m just being as aware and shopping as best as I can. I have one of those terracotta bears for my brown sugar but I didn’t know they were supposed to be soaked in water. I just tossed him there. 28:30 Lol, no wonder mine didn’t work😂.
    Love the bear bathroom, how cute? Extra extra cute! Everything looked so yummy. Have a great trip. Thank you for sharing!!!

      Thank you! Going back to school and working as a young mom would be a lot to juggle! That's wonderful you were able to do that! 😊

    Angela, my dear... you are amazing. I love your recipes. Short ribs are delicious and I haven't had them in quite some time. For me, I like to cook once and place the remainder into the freezer in meal size portions. I like to know I have home cooked meals ready. I am an old lady and, like you, I want to know what is in the food I eat. Growing up on a farm and helping to take care of the garden, the animals and I remember my Mom tucking a couple of duck eggs into the setting hen's nest. That was fun. I try to get farm fresh free range chicken eggs I was not able to get to the farmer's market for fresh local produce but the supermarket I shop at carried local fruit and vegetables so though it wasn't field to table I was supporting them and myself. I like to cook and sew. I made a throw quilt this year and donated it to a special charity...Shoot for Cystenosis. It is nice to be able to give back and help the community in my small way. I like to target shoot just to challenge myself.
    Your children and husband must be so proud of you. You are a very accomplished domestic engineer and still have time for your community. I do applaud you and I am so glad I found your channel. 👏👏👏

    Love this video! Love the long videos and love the cook/clean/hang with me type videos!
    You’re such and inspiration to have lots of babies and animals but still find a way to make all the homemade breads and meals. I have a SINGULAR two year old and am exhausted most of the time! 😂 Where do you find the energy 😅

    All of your food looks so delicious. You are making me so hungry.
    This is a suggestion only.
    When you buy another Dutch oven look at a bigger one than you got now. And also they have huge cast-iron cookware for large families. I saw somebody I’m one of my channels get a 13 or 14 inch cast-iron frypan and a huge cast iron Dutch oven it was massive.
    Thanks for sharing. Love your videos.
    There are a lot of spices you can make homemade.
    Even can make homemade pork and beans from scratch.

      I also seen 19 kids and counting ( Duggar’s) and the amount of food they made and their massive two kitchens. One you tube channel I watch had a 13 or 14 inch cast iron skillet. I thought wholly wow!

    I found your channel a couple weeks ago with the 5 bulk mix recipes & immediately subscribed (also tested the recipes, loved them & made up the bulk mixes!). I'm in the middle of stripping & jarring my dried herbs & binge watching your old videos in no particular order. You made a comment on this one & I just had to comment. You referenced other you tubers with polished videos and music in the background, and how that just wasn't you. Well, I'm glad it isn't! Listening to you while I'm doing this brain-dead task is making it feel like you're in my kitchen talking away while we're both working! And that's really "real". I like how best made plans don't always happen, interruptions do, things run out, sometimes you need to "make do", precise measurements aren't always needed since we have eyes. And that's OK. Anyway, I'm so glad to have found your channel and wanted to thank you for taking the time to share all you have learned and tested and the effort you put into writing out directions for your followers. You are much appreciated and are a remarkable woman!

    GURL!!! I dont know where you get your energy! Do you sleep? 😊
    I am fairly new here, loving what i am seeing! You are living the life i wanted.
    I raised 4 boys. I could not keep them fed! How you do it with 8 i have no idea! When my boys were teens, i would make 26 pork chops, 10# of potatoes for 1 meal! Our grocery bill was higher than our mortgage!
    I always wanted to self sustain our family but my husband was not for that. 😢
    So i did what i could with a garden and canning when things were in season. But it really your life style i really wanted. Now i am just to old to deal! 😂
    Anyways. Love your videos! I will be watching.❤

    • @rockymountainhomesteadangela
      @rockymountainhomesteadangela  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for being here! :) Lets just say I need to work on my sleep schedule a bit. I am definitely having to almost triple most recipes now, my kids almost always go back for seconds. Our house is "The Hub" for their friends to hang out at so I have a feeling when our kids are older, we may go broke feeding them! Weve had up to 22 kids over before, not counting our 8 and I had to cook for them all! My husband was not for the self sustain lifestyle either till he woke up to the direction everythings going in. Never loose hope!

    🇦🇺With your hamburgers, do you put anything in with the meat? Spices, egg, onions, breadcrumbs? Or strait meat?

    • @rockymountainhomesteadangela
      @rockymountainhomesteadangela  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I usually make ours with shredded cheese and diced jalapenos in the beef OR one packet of dry onion soup mix!
      In the video, I only did straight meat with a little salt because I was in a hurry!
