    Thanks for the review! The Beretta 92SB full size is my all time favorite pistol. I've owned HK, SIG, Glock, Walther, and I just prefer the Beretta over all the other brands. And, I prefer the 92SB out of all the other 92 series guns due to the beautiful blued finish and rounded trigger guard, it just looks right to me.

      I have a 92SB compact. I didn't know there was a full size version. Mine is a 9mm single stack magazine version.

    I just got a 92sb from Classic Firearms for $399. It is an Italian police surplus gun. Mine has been refurbished at some point by Beretta. It's in very good condition for a 40 year old police pistol and is a great shooter. I'm very happy with the purchase.

    Nice pistol! Just found your channel 👍.. I just got the 92x compact, it's my first hammer fired pistol, I traded a Sig p320xf plus some cash. I'll be checking out your past videos and subscribing!

    this is the only video here on You-tube about Beretta 92sb....this is a very rare model

      This is not 92SB, it's 92SB Compact. You can tell that by the shortened barrell and slide (92SB has the same protruding barrell as 92FS, M9 etc). The 92 SB compact you can see in the video was mass produced and commercially available for ~10 years. It is still somewhat rare. The actual 92SB was made for USAF, only around 1000 pieces were produced - it was to win the contract for the new service pistol and it won. USAF requested some changes in the design which gave birth to the M9 which became the service pistol used to this date. The changes USAF requested in 92SB not only resulted in the M9 but also impacted the design of all the new pistols from the 92 series; the most noticeable change being the squared-off trigger guard.
      Part of the "rejected" 92SB was later adopted by FBI, part of that by the Florida state police and also by some other less known goverment agencies.

      @@digitalghosts4599 Beretta 92 sb compact was only made for 5 years. From 1980 to 1985. It's noted in berettas history. It is a very hard to find pistol due in part to it being 35 years old and there is not that many here state side. So yes it's rare.

    • @richardjones684

      @@digitalghosts4599 Damn had to come back and correct myself. The Beretta 92 sb and sb compact were actually only made for 4 years not 5. So once again yes, they are rare and as I said it is noted they are rare guns due to there limited production run and they were made in Italy. So not that many made there way here

    I'm looking for a comparison of the Beretta 92FS compact type M vs the 92SB compact type M(both single stack 8rd mag). They are both rarely hard to attain/ discontinued.

    • @digitalghosts4599
      @digitalghosts4599 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The most noticeabl difference is the squared off trigger guard in 92FS and a newly designed slide release that was supposed to fix some defect where under rare circumstances something could crack and the slide could hit your face. I think 92FS compact also has a heavier hammer and the frame is made of duraluminium while 92SB (compact) has a steel frame.

  • @stampede18ecs
    @stampede18ecs ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The only thing that I hate about this gun slide is the indicator on the top of the slide. It prevents you from using a 92 or 92s frame

  • @johngoosen1962

    Rusty Guns, the mag release is changeble either left or right depending on shooter

    I have a Beretta SB compact Type M. A magazine only holds seven rounds. I have been having a very hard time trying to find extra magazines for this pistol. Any ideas where I can find extra magazines for this SB compact

      You could try Numrich, or even Gunbroker.com. But also keep an eye out and visit any gun shows in your area including the small ones. You might find what you're looking for, or a new hidden gem.

      @@robertmartinez1645 best bet is ebay I've seen look up 92 compact type M. I see them go for anywhere starting at $30-$40 (bid) or $60-$80 (buy it now) depends.

    I just looked at this today, but the grip felt huge. Yours looks much different though, I wonder if it was just that specific grip...

    • @RustyGuns
      @RustyGuns  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This one is much older so there is probably a difference in the grip. But these style Beretta's have always been on the larger size.

      I bought a 10 round mag for the 92F and it fit in my 92SB compact just fine.
      (It sticks out a little but works)

    I have owned and really like glocks...92 in the military also. Does it come in 40? Or just 9mm?
    Price? Good for open carry?
    I live in AZ..you can open carry here. Just don't want a cannon on my hip pulling my drawers down...

    • @RustyGuns
      @RustyGuns  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes the Beretta does come in a 40, I have one I can get a hold of so may do a video on it in the future.
