Who starred in the 1980s movies “Die Hard” and "Lethal Weapon?” Bruce Willis and Mel Gibson, you say? Wrong - it was the Beretta 92 that both actors used to save the day!
Me too. I added the D spring an all steel trigger the G decocker. Also added an extended magazine release. The 92A1 is just great. Stay safe enjoy that beretta
The single-action/ double-action trigger with the decocker, made the Beretta 92 extremely popular as a service pistol for law enforcement & militaries. And it's still in service in many countries to this day. I think that speaks for itself on how good of a pistol, the 92 is.
Thank you for this. I shall henceforth use this line when confronting Beretta haters. The only legitimate complaint I heard was from my brother's fiance, who is very small, and couldn't reach the safety-switch with her thumb. I said just get a cheetah or wait for the newest 92s that have a frame-mounted safety (XI or smth they are called, I think).
@@bendakstarkiller1270 I'm so glad the guys I worked with were into IDPA and spent every waking moment at the range, They introduced me to the 92 as my first gun, After owning many different kinds There is still only one for me, My new INOX will be with me forever.
Carried the M9 in the miltary police service. Never jammed once. Decided to buy a piece of nostalgic history but modernized in the form of the M9A4. Love it.
Bought 92fs in 1989. Too big for my small hands. I could not shoot well with it. After 250 rounds, so disappointed, put it away since. Recently, got a few grips for it. And the lok thin grip perfectly fit for small hands. Changed hammer spring to #14. Wow, a totally different gun. Shoot like a dream. Love the 92 FS dearly now. ❤❤❤❤❤
I purchased my Beretta 92FS back in the early 1990s and it is still one of my favorite guns to take to the range. Its size fit my hand perfectly. Of course, after using the 1911 in my previous military service, I thought the military was insane for replacing the 1911 with the 92. It only took me five minutes at the range to change my mind and purchase a 92FS from a buddy.
The Beretta 92FS is my absolute favorite pistol. I love the Italian curves. Mine is very Samurai Edge in appearance. Don’t get me wrong, I love the 1911 but the Beretta has to be my favorite.
Love this pistol. It’s the gun my dad used to teach me how to shoot and the one I shoot the best (for non competition pistols and I haven’t tried a competition Beretta 92 yet). I’m glad it’s still being supported and updated all these years later. I’m saving up for a Langdon version right now
I own one, but I first owned a Milsurp 92S. I was foolish because the 92S was soooooo much better. It was well broken in, accurate af, but I stupidly sold it. A few years later really missed that 92S but had a really hard time finding one, I found a new FS, its ok, but if any of you have a 92S KEEP IT
The transition between glock and manual safety can be clumsy for some people. I have the 80's series 1911 with firing pin block, 92S (prior to fs), m17 with m18 slide assy, walther p22q, all manual safety pistols so my thumb goes to it by reflex, no matter what i shoot. Never been a glock guy.
A lot of military folks bad mouthed the M9, but when I talked to them, most of them had little pistol training. I carried a M9 on 2 deployments and as a copper (by my own choice) for about 10 years. Works great.
I have two Beretta 92fs pistols: I have one in all black and one in Inox. Both guns are Italian made and have never been holstered. I saw Lethal Weapon in 1987 and just HAD to have one!! But my money was funny in '87 so I wasn't able to buy one until 1988. And it was a 92fs instead of the 92f that Riggs carried 🙂 And then in 1992, I purchased the Inox. Both guns have ran flawlessly over the years with no malfunctions to speak of. The only things I have done to both of them is change the guide rods in them.
Always liked carrying the M9. But if the armory had M11s or Glock 19s on the shelf, I'd weasel my way into getting issued one of those instead. Have to get qualified on them 1st, but I always made sure to be friends with the combat arms guys. Take the M11/G19 qual class with the OSI agents.
Nice video, I really enjoyed it. I love the approach you Americans have with guns. You can buy whatever you want and have fun shooting it. I am Italian and there are a lot of restrictions both for buying and carrying, how I envy your freedom to carry guns. When someone points out to me that it is precisely because of this freedom that there are thousands of deaths every year in the USA from gunshots, I reply that it is true, but that it has helped save the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.
Great comment, I heard Charlie Kirk say that liberty has a cost and firearms ownership is going to lead to deaths but the pros far outweigh the cons. 🇺🇸
Proud lefty owner of a Brigadier, old model all metal (incl. spring guide rod). Sometimes i fondle idea of something lighter and more compact but sure as hell She won't ever leave me, unless they take from my dead hand.
If you were in the national guard, you wouldn't have seen the M9 until the early 90's. I was looking for a decent used FS for a while, but after hurricane Ian, a guy south of Sarasota needed 250 more than his Italian govt surplus 92S (with heel mag release), so i drove from TB area to get it. Love that pistol. Sites are almost non-existent but it has good weight to it, shoots smoothly, was in surprisingly good condition for its age, and couldn't beat the price.
Sir, I have to admit that as an Italian, to hear how much you do love this Italian iconic handgun makes me to believe in my country again, despite the political disasters. By the way: I'm a gun lover too and happy to hear that you like this little piece of Italy! 😄
As a former law enforcement operator, I can say that the 92 was my faithful companion for 35 years, right up to my retirement. I have fired thousands of rounds with Fiocchi and I.M.I. ammunition, and only a couple of times did it jam due to training cartridges with a reduced charge, but in general it digested that too. As aesthetics the Colt 1911 and Beretta 92 series are the most beautiful guns ever made. the Glock doesn't appeal to me because of its stock angle and safeties, I'm not comfortable with the bullet in the barrel with no visual check on it. But that's just my problem, I think it's because of the 30 years of brainwashing I've been given about safety regulations. And aesthetically it is plastic and ugly
I love 92, it’s so classic! However, it’s one of those guns that I can never shoot accurately! I don’t know why, I just can’t. Some guns I can shoot so accurately first time like HK and Sig, same grip same trigger pull and same way of aim. I bought a Tomcat, and it shoots fine, just not 92.
@H-M-78 Correct, if a "copy" made on a worn-out set of used dies with poor fit and finish is "pretty much the same" I'm completely not against you, Please don't take this the wrong way, just understand as a trap shooter who has witnessed some of the differences in fine guns, I find the fit and finish of Taurus to be almost always subpar.
Such disrespect from some in the comments for this older gentleman. Cut him some slack, he’s having fun with this great pistol!
92fs best model ever
I'm a lefty and love my 92FS!
Left handed?! You absolute abomination! 😁

According Catholic Church Papal Bull from. 1280's , left handed people are from Shaitan. Thus they are heretics.
@@waynebenedict5785. Ha me too. The little rifle is just really nice. Very under rated and yes an awesome combo

He kinda looks like Clint Eastwood too lol
It's the same guy, he just hasnt had his morning weed yet 😂
Except Hickok is a way faster and better shot
The 92A1 does not get enough coverage. ❤❤
Love mines.
Same with the 90-two
The 92fs was the second pistol I ever bought and after buying many more pistols the 92 is still my favorite.

@double, when a gun doesn't have single-action/ double-action trigger with the decocker,
I feel like I'm holding half a gun.
One of the prettiest handguns ever made
And it won't Eef your girlfriend!
Concur wholeheartedly; such a handsome pistol!
And it’s reliable still. A rare combo
Ive loved this gun since i was a kid, now that im 32, i own a 92x.
Is it full size or centurion size I have centurion size and I absolutely love it because it is my first gun I bought.
@@andrewbrumagen3479 mines the full size.
I had a plastic airsoft 92FS (still have it, btw) when I was a kid, 36 now and I have a real 92FS and 92x Performance
I grew up with it too, because there were tons of softgun models available in the nearby toy shops. Always wanted one since.
Some people can't handle the complexities of the Beretta 92.
Some people can't handle the complexities of driving a stick...

Arguably the best handgun ever made.
You could be right. Thanks for the comment.
We swear by Beretta-period. Currently own a Beretta 92FS Brigadier, wouldn’t own anything else.
Good review. I have an Italian made 92FS she is a beauty. Paul Harrell, may God bless him, has a great video on shooting this weapon.
Very nice. Thanks for the comment John.
The decocker is a great option

Very entertaining review of the Beretta 92. It would be awesome to have both a 1911 in 45 and one of these 92 in 9mm. I like my Glock too.

I’m a south paw and was trained to sling shot the slide when we were issued the Glock in the mid ‘80s.
The only face I picture holding the Beretta 92 is only Chow Yun Fat.

Hickock45's step brother
The reason why the 92 is my favorite DA/SA gun is because it can fully decock the hammer. Most will only go to a half cock.

Idk. I'm not sure that the new optic mount will allow silencer high sights to co witness with the reticle.
