As someone who started skating at 30 years old, I can definitely relate to the adults in the group! It was really nice to see a wide variety of ages.....shows that you are NEVER too old to learn how to skate!
I'd like to learn and I'm 30 now, so this gives me hope!

Reminds me so much of when I was at this level, incase anyone is wondering, believe me we do not judge and criticize everything you do if your at a lower level than us. To be frank, you help us notice the basics and we learn to improve, your mistakes inspire and educate us from time to time and we would be happy to help you.....so long as we arnt training or working on things of ours, dont disturb us much :)
I skate there and I’m really liking it I’ve mastered everything in basic one now
I only started 1 weeks ago and now I'm at basic 3!!! I've learnt skating on my own for quite some time before I started the learn to skate program so I was able to skip basic 1 and it made the skills simple for me to master. And now that I'm FINALLY getting my own pair of Jackson Mystiques, I'll have much more support and sharp durable blades with EDGES.

I been skating for over 3 years and I can’t even walk the stairs nicely
i have been skating for about a year now and i cant even make my right turn crossovers look elegant >:((
Basic level 3 now. I skipped basic 1 and got down everything in basic 2 in 2 weeks. The things in basic 3 are also very simple, I just need to work on bending my knees and posture. Only problem is that I need my own skates :
I'll start taking lessons in a few months but it seems like I already got level 1 down 👌🏼 I'm now working on the skating backwards wiggle thingy
This makes me miss teaching back when I was still figure skating. :/
I started skating 7 weeks ago and I got everything down except swizzles. Those are my weakness. :/
When you push outward starting with your heels together then you end with your toes together.
I couldn’t do them for quite a while but they do get easier. My skates used to crash into each other when I first started and I’d fall 😂
I got swizzled down my first 4 try’s I WAS LUCKY THANK GOD
I learned swizzles before stroking as a child bc I was scared to lift my legs XD

This is so nice watching! As someone else said “yay I’m not the only one at this level - my age”. I started seriously skating a couple of weeks ago, everything is so fun - but skating “normally” backwards is what I cannot wrap my head around somehow, everything else is going quite great:) ⛸💓

I remember learning swizzles or what my teacher liked to call them as lemons when I was in basic one class of skating. I’m currently intermediate and tried teaching my friend how to do it but she just can’t lol

Thank you for this awesome video! I started to skate this month but I still can't do those turns on ice? Do you have any tips?
Practice, practice, practice! I've been skating for three months and still have yet to properly get them down, so don't feel bad. Make sure to bend your knees when entering the turn and quickly bring them back up as you turn backwards or forwards. Hope this helps a little!
Riley Burris oh thank you! But I already did it :) it was difficult at first to turn in my new skates but now it's all fine. I am working on one foot spins now.

Rn im at a level 3 but in the video I would say a level 2. My instructors really dont teach me anything and I havent even learned a snowplow stop, but they keep moving me up levels when they dont teach anyone properly and I wish that I could have developed like these people did.
