Thanks for the video! You bought your Moto G6 for all the same reasons I did. Mine shattered with a "corner impact" too. The back on mine is even worse than yours. After much looking, I found a listing on Amazon that, though it says it is the correct GLASS replacement back, it is just a clever plastic fake, per two negative reviews. But that's what I want! - a new plastic or metal back. No more glass. Egads. Now I've figured out how I got a teeny invisible shard in my foot from the rug next to my bed. The danged phone. My phone works, and I used clear packing tape to protect my hands until the new back and a case to now protect it arrived. Tools came with the new back, but I'll need a heat gun to loosen it around the edges. I've already taken a small preliminary stab at removal without heat to soften the adhesive, and the results are not pretty. Sigh! It only costs about $149 for a whole new Moto G6 right now on Amazon, so I'm not interested in paying someone that much to get this shattered back off. I'm pretty handy, but taking care to not get cut. Sigh! If anyone else wants a non-glass back for the Moto G6, XT1925-6, type M390A, I bought this great ;looking plastic back for under eight dollars: smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WHB6V1W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Though I haven't actually put it on yet, it looks to be the exact fit, and comes pre-gummed. My Moto was supposed to be indigo blue, but it looks black. I bought the silver replacement.
After reading this, I spent a little time last night looking into replacing the back myself. Not sure I'm going to attempt it. I'd have to use a heat gun and might melt components in my phone if it gets too hot. Please let me know how your replacement turns out. I would like a fixed phone and that's the right price for me!!
Not good! I bought new back glass, plastic, I'm going to attempt a repair to keep that from happening. The tape is holding pretty good. Sorry yours didn't make it that far!
Did you choose to change the back yourself? I found a video here showing how, but not for one that is shattered into so many tiny pieces, yet still stuck on. I don't want to pay anyone to remove it, but may if I have to. New plastic backs that fit can be had for very cheap online. Got one and it's perfect, but still got to get the old one off. Gonna get busy with a heat gun around the edges of the glass, I guess.
@@meadowlark22 No, I haven't changed the back yet. I'm actually still looking for a back panel of perfect size. Can you please tell me from where did you get your panel?
I ended up getting a clear TPU case, still thin but better shock/drop protection. Already dropped my newer one a few times, minor drops of course, hasn't shattered. Will probably stick with the TPU cases! Did you fix yours or get a new phone?

Well then. I should get a rugged case for mine when I get it this weekend...
That is a great idea! Still using mine, btw 👍
I swear this thing can take a fall from 10 feet then you drop it from 0.2 inches it shatters.
And now I have glass all over my hands

I accidentally shattered my back glass in the freaking case
