There is controversy related to Bengali calendar being started by Akbar. If you can understand Bengali please refer to videos by Sanskrit scholar Nrisingha Prasad Bhaduri. Bhapa pitha is made by Bengalis on pousha sankranti

Recipe is okay & no offense for our Guest Star Chef but I will much appreciate it if you invite any Bengali chef /Cook or anyone from Bengal who has good knowledge on Bengali dish . You mostly invite guests from the same state/culture for any occasion . Liked this video.
Small correction - It's Paila Baishakh not Pahela Baishakh in Bengali means first day of Baishakh month(the starting month of a Bengali year/Bangabdo).

Even though it is not frequently celebrated with that Enthusiasm that Bengalis Of eastern and Southern Do !! The Biggest festival of Western Bengal or Manbhum is Tusu parab or Poush Parabon and That is considered as New year and in Every temple Special poojas are Held And fairs are Organised 🙏
The simple making of the rice flour dough is wrong then how can the bong food connoisseurs write her hand movements are right. Even the final presentation is wrong. Yes she is least bothered.

this is a lovely episode- only it's "Poila" and not "Pohela"
When making a dish in a festive episode it should atleast look like the authentic one, it's about the emotion too, the pitha nothing looks like a traditional one, no Jaggery, topped with ghee and pista, looking like ravioli..... Not giving the pitha vibe.....
