2011 ubisoft said though vash "insanty is doing the same thing over and over" Ubisoft warned us they were insane.
It’s more nuanced than that… the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result… So to that end, we the players, are the insane ones.
Huh? Who composes a sentence like that? Who is vash. Smh.
They also warned us about the gaming industry. COD and Madden players buying the same game over and over expecting it'll be better than the last.
Ubisoft is Vaas confirmed
Not really applicable here as this DLC is the most unique thing they’ve done recently. They’ve never delved into rogue-lite, yet alone in a Far Cry title.
I think Vaas deserves a whole game, not just a dlc
For real, he’d make such an interesting villain, they should have him be the antagonist of the next game

@@NotCharAznable just because he wasn’t the main villain doesn’t mean he was overhyped. His character isn’t regarded so highly for no reason, it’s because a terrific actor created and played him and he gave a great performance. And if you don’t think Mando is a terrific actor, then I wouldn’t trust your opinion about characters from any game or film.
Blood Dragon was surprisingly one of my favorite DLC's of all time. I'm glad to see they're keeping up that tradition.

The actor that plays Vaas is great. Loved him in Better Call Saul. He deserves to have his own game, but since Ubishit is creatively bankrupt, i don't know if they're the one to give him his own game.

Don’t think I’ve ever purchased a far cry dlc outside of blood dragon lol. Just haven’t been interested in them. I’ll catch the villains pack on sale.
Blood dragon was so awesome. Then Far Cry 4, 5, and 6 came along and added absolutely nothing to the gameplay. So I didn’t really care about dlc. Even with Vaas, the gameplay still looks one-dimensional. Stealth or action.

Michael Mando was the perfect choice for the role of Vaas. He makes you absolutely despise the character of Vaas, which is what a great antagonist is suppose to do and he does a convincing job in the process. He should've had his own video game, instead of just a piece of DLC. He's such a legendary voice actor. It's as if Vaas could've existed in the real world. It goes to show much passion and energy Michael Mando had when portraying the character. Having a powerful and intriguing villain is just as important as having a powerful and intriguing hero. They both play off of one another and there is a bit of a tit for tat so to speak. You can't have one without the other. A villain ends up being the focal point and the reason for wanting to get revenge. The more powerful and evil the villain is, the greater the drive for getting payback and redemption. Having said that, I will definitely give the DLC a shot because I've always wanted to play as Vaas and to experience a game through his lenses and to understand his twisted and psychotic mindset and way of thinking. I think that the DLC does a great job of doing so, even though I would've preferred an entire video game, but that's just my own personal opinion. Otherwise, thanks as always Karak for another wonderful video. I really appreciate the continued hard work. Keep it up!
Funny how I thought of Michael Mando as Vaas when I first saw him in Better Call Saul but after all these years seeing Vaas again I think of him first as Nacho Varga instead.
I think this is a neat addition. Once fc6 drops in price and I've finished fc 5 and new dawn, I'll pick this up for my xboxonex. Far cry games are fun to just fart around in.
Best way to describe far cry lmao
Far Cry should do a game that takes place during a serious natural disaster. Consider a hero/villain story during a tsunami, earthquake, volcanic eruption, hurricane, meteor impact.....extreme virus outbreak...
And make sure it set in the year 2050 ish, make it sorts futuristic and in Tokyo
Nice idea, but for me I cant look past the poor AI and resulting cake-walk of FC games.
@@ZaaRaphz really good ideas here imo. If they need an island setting, Japan has 6 good size islands I think. Being in the future, easy to make reasons for any type of enemy on the island or location.

Kudos to Michael Mando (Vaas) you can see him in Orphan Black and Better Call Saul (and maybe one day in the MCU if his character, Mac Gargan, gets more than a post-credit scene).
He was in Spider Man Homecoming.
@@thepluggy1 yep but as Mac gargan, not as Scorpion, his supervillain persona. Future will tell if it was just an easter egg or foreshadowing.

Farcry is cool but I don't think its been interesting to me since 3, blood dragon and primal were fun. But 4 and 5 just didn't change it up enough for me to care.
Absolutely loved Far Cry 6 and haven't finished it yet. Didn't expect a DLC to come out so soon hahah... Looking forward to it.
I loved it at first as well till about 30 hours in. Then I started to see it's flaws and couldn't over look them anymore. The game as a whole just feels rushed and was put together with no love.
Ubispft plans DLC before the game is even made and makes it besides the main game.
Long gone are the days where DLC are cool afterthoughts. Nope, it's planned monetization. The game doesn't cost $60, it costs $120-200

I still don't understand how dying works, is chests trapped? Do you only have two guns, how do you increase health. Are tigers appearing out of think air near you or do you have time with awareness??
I was excited about this until I learned it's essentially only a challenge pack the trailer really kind of portrays it as some sort of story DLC kind of a letdown
Not necessarily. If you beat the DLC 100%, they reveal Vaas is still alive-showing a potential direct sequel to his story in the future. We could easily get a while Vaas game with Jason as the main villain dominating Rook Island.

I got it for FC6 and riders. Ended up putting more time into crew 2 lol. Canned the sub after a month, FH5's got me for a while now. Digging these subs, my attention span these days is limited, if I like it I'll buy it outright on steam usually.
@@AudioPhile nice, it’s hard to justify purchase of an ubi game as they drop in price within a couple weeks usually. That 15 bucks is a good deal in my book.
@@greermcgreer8596 i pay for Xbox ultimate for my son and I and balked at the $20/month (Australian) of the ubi sub considering the games on offer, but the fact they offer the ultimate versions with all season pass and DLC content is a good deal, if you enjoy the games they have. Always been a big fan of crew 2 on PS4 so was happy to play with all the latest content etc. That said, can get the standalone gold version of that game with season pass for $40 these days. Which I will most likely do.
That said, Farcry 6 is a lot of fun and looks and runs really well on any half decent PC, you know whether you'll like it or not because it's more of the same. Which for me means I enjoy the hell out of it for 30 hrs, completing anything and everything and boom! over it. It's sacrilegious to say, but FC5 is my fave, something about the atmosphere they created in that game just nailed it for me.
And I swear to god if I hear the word "Guerilla" one more time I'll snap.

Bruh wdym? The trippy sections of FC3 were really good, really added to the game, however the non trippy sections were also amazing. That game overall is just great.
I had no idea people didn't like those sections. Those have always been my favorite part of FC games.
The drug induced tripping sections are deadly, I look forward to them in Farcry games.. I was sad Farcry 6 never really had any.

The way I want to play Vaas, is like how we get to play as Abby on the Last of us pt2. Not only I'll be reliving the Far Cry 3 world, but Far Cry 3, in the eyes of the main villain. But hey, it's not the first time Ubisoft never listen so..
i get this desire but i think vaas’ characterization is a little too thin for that. he doesn’t have complicated or really even interesting motivations, he’s just really well performed and uniquely stylized. he doesn’t even serve as the main antagonist in 3 because despite being the most fun villain cause his presence serves to break the main character but once he has he doesn’t really have much he can do
So you want Ubisoft to rip off some other game. Because that wouldn't ever backfire on them...That would be all over the gaming press news articles. And Ubi should listen to you?
If you can't come up with 1 original idea, they really shouldn't listen.

@@MrPunkassfuck telling the same story from the villains perspective isn’t something that was introduced with the last of us 2. A concept like that predates all video games tbh. So “ripping off” wouldn’t be the right way to describe Ubi doing something like that

This will be the first FC where I will not bother with the DLC. FC5’s was an interesting mixed bag, but here, there’s no real draw for me.
Speaking of FC5, I figured the Dev was testing the waters as far as potential content. The Vietnam run was pretty good!

Yeah all dlcs for 5 were kinda wack. Gonna skip all of 6's. Ubisoft dlc for far cry hasnt added to the actual base game since 4, i regret getting the gold edition for 5.
For some reason i can see the dislike count again(68 as of writing) it did go away for a couple of days, maybe it's now a perk of youtube premium, or a bug 🤷🏿♂️

Far cry 5 is one of my favourite games , but 6 was so bland and a chore to complete . A dlc for far cry 6 sounds like torture even though I like the character presented in the dlc

I probably will pick this up as a discounted standalone game. The voice work sounds amazing and gameplay is exactly the the type of arcadey SP stuff I'm looking for but can't justify buying an entire game I don't plan to play.
