    What is lions mane? Lions mane review.
    Lions mane mushrooms literally look like a hedgehog. You can pick them up at your local grocery stores to make them into teas and tinctures, grilling them, or taking them as a capsule they are from the species of herenicium erinaceus, and there native to North America, Europe, and Asia, and most common during the late summer and fall and they can be found either on living trees as a tree parasite, but mostly as a saprotroph.
    Lions mane for memory. Benefits of lion's mane.
    But upon investigation, they found that lions mane contains a diverse amount of phytochemicals and compounds like antioxidants, anti-inflammatory agents, and what are known as nerve growth factors that make it a lot of different than any other edible mushroom.
    How lions mane works? Lion's mane mushroom effects.
    The way lions mane works is mainly due to its polysaccharide, erinacines, steroid molecules, and alkaloid contents, which when you ingest lions mane, there is a plethora of compounds that once you digest it, it begins exerting its effects, a major one when it reaches metabolism is how it can stimulate nerve growth factor or NGF.
    Benefits of lion's mane
    The first benefit, and why lions mane got so much attention in the first place, is lions mane for Alzheimer's improve brain function and fight Alzheimer's disease. Which is why its one of the most popular nootropics right now for anyone preparing for an exam and struggle with brain fog, a presentation they need to prepare for, or anyone hoping to find just all around natural brain booster to enhance focus, clarity, and learning.
    Lions mane for anxiety
    Some of the other benefits that it may provide comes from much of the testing that yields promising results from test tubes and in animal models. For example how it can help with mild symptoms of anxiety and depression, through its ability to improve hippocampus function, which is the area in the brain for processing memories and emotion.
    How many grams of lions mane. How much should I take lions mane.
    There is no standardized dose. But From the studies, an amount of 1,000 mg Lion's Mane at 96% purity extract, up to 3x a day was used to get some of these benefits. Keep in mind though, that the potency differs in the preparation and source of mushroom.
    Best lions mane supplement. What to look for when buying lions mane?
    You got a lot of options out there. You can go ahead and buy the mushroom from the grocery store and use it to prepare in the kitchen or go the supplement route. You got the fruiting body ones or the mycellium versions. There is an argument that the beneficial bioactive compounds are found in both the mycellium and the fruiting bodies, but in higher concentrations in the fruiting bodies. So go with the fruiting bodies if you want the maximum results. Also go with a product that is at least usp, nsf, or at the very least manufactured in a gmp facility.
    Adverse effects of lions mane. Lion's mane side effects.
    When it comes to the side effects, there isnt a ton of studies that look at this. But one that I found, which i think is important to share comes back from the 2020 study, in the Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience Alzheimer’s study, which had patients complain of stomach discomfort, nausea, and skin rashes likely due to allergies, coming at 350 mg 3 times a day mark.
    Is lions mane mushroom safe?
    You should avoid taking lions mane if you are pregnant, planning to be or breastfeeding since there isn’t enough information to rule out the risk there. Also if you have a clotting or bleeding disorder or are preparing for a surgery.

    Thank you for the info I am plant base and have been for 18 years I was just kicking around today just doing general things in the house, and I thought came into my mind. Why haven’t I incorporated lions main into my lifestyle and the answer was because I did not like the way it looked but after doing some reserved reading, and watching your video as well as others on TH-cam, and finding out the benefits of lions mane I will definitely be adding lions main to my diet once a week along with all the other mushrooms that I eat to supplement for me so thank you so much I look forward to your next post. I thank you for your clarity and then your explanation. Thank you so much continue to do good.

    My 4th burnout lasted only hours thanks to the Lion's Mane. I took the first 500mg capsule the night before I woke up in the morning recognizing the familiar sensation of having burnout. Took the 2nd 500mg the same morning wishing it might shorten a day or two the sick leave which has prior taken weeks at least. The same afternoon I noticed the burnout was gone. I'm highly sensitive (hsp) and it probably explains the pace of the affect.

    At 64, I am having a HUGE problem with short-term memory. It's like I'm someone I don't recognize and it seems I can't go 1/2 hour without forgetting something. It increases the time spent on everything I do tenfold because I am constantly misplacing something and spending more time looking for it than I actually spend on the project I'm working on. I can't leave the house without forgetting something I need to bring EVERY...SINGLE...TIME. And I'm constantly sabotaging myself by screwing up everything I do. An example would be like sitting on the toilet looking at the phone, wiping my ass and putting the paper in my pocket, and throwing the phone in the toilet. Or I'm changing the hinges on a door and notice I put them on backward. That's not so bad. But taking them off the door and putting them on backward two more times IS bad. In baseball that would be a strikeout. It sounds funny, but it's not if you continue to make similar mistakes ALL DAY LONG. So I'm taking methylene blue and am starting on lion's mane and I'm hoping desperately that it's going to help.

    if you wanna know what hollowness, emptiness, lack of drive and borderline chronic depression feels like, then this is your go to, i wouldn’t recommend lions mane or ashwaganda to my worst enemies, there’s a few videos online as well as a sub reddit community of hundreds of people wishing they never started on either of these and how hard its been to get back to feeling like their normal self. STAY AWAY FROM THIS.

    • @MartinFire13
      @MartinFire13 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Its just a supplement. Relax. People complain about everything. You read things and panic and think it's happening to you. Whatever you tell your mind your body will follow. People took drugs like cocaine and heroin and were able to recover. It's not that serious dude. Your body is a healing machine, no natural herb will harm u unless you're ingesting some sort of chemicals put in the supplement. The actual problem why you would have side effects. Just listen to your body and not the internet...the internet is a dark place for people to make stuff up with no real evidence

    • @Dustandfuzz
      @Dustandfuzz 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They must be allergic. People with mold allergy should probably stay away from mushrooms. I took ashwaganda and it made no difference. Just took my first lions mane. I do have a mold allergy but might be able to take lions mane as I can eat button mushrooms from the grocery store without any problems.

      Guessing they were taking concentrated tinctures. I'd say too much of any medicine can have negative effects. I'm looking to try Lions Mane for added diet supplement but couldn't imagine using more than a pinch in my morning coffee.
