Did you have to buy an ice-ducer for the ice setup of did the standard one work for ice? I was reading the reviews and seen where guys said you have to buy a different transducer for ice fishing. I'm new to the ice game and like that this has both the flasher and sonar standard screens with gps. Thanks.
I did not buy the ice transducer. I just wrapped the transducer wire in some foam so it floats in the hole and adjusted it so it floats level with the water and I marked fished and my lure with the graph. In my opinion I dont think its worth buying the extra transducer. Just set the screen to the narrow beam setting. The flasher worked well too but I prefer to use the A-Scope instead (shown in the video). The gps plotter is also nice because you can mark holes that produced and go back to them year after year!

Your explanation between 77KHz and 200KHz is incorrect. It's the other way around. 77 for shallow, 200 for deep.

It will sure beat not knowing what is under the ice! Fishing old school is cool...But it's hard to hit the fish if you cant see where they are haha!
@@davidgrant5979 No doubt man! absolute game-changer for sure. I highly recommend that A-Scope setting, I like it a lot more than the traditional flasher.

Do you need to unplug the power from the back of the unit while charging on the wall charger?
You only have to connect the charger to the battery terminals to charge the battery. No need to unplug the power cable from the unit. Thanks for watching!

The kit I got came with a battery. If you want to buy one separately you can get a 12v 10a lithium battery.
Do you know the max depth
1,600 feet is the max depth.
Does the battery itself recharge?
No, it does not. You have to recharge it, battery will last about 30 + hrs in my experience.

@@NateEklund If you got the ice fishing kit it should have came with a charger to recharge the battery you just hook it up to the terminals on the battery. If you didn’t get the kit, you’d need to buy a battery and a trickle charger.
