Hi Karl and the Team, just wanted to say thank you for creating content every week! I can’t wait for Saturday evenings to watch them 😊 I have been in Brisbane for 2,5 years and will be returning home to Europe in 7/8 months. I have looked into possible pathways but my UK law degree isn’t in high demand and understandably so - given the number of lawyers in QLD, they don’t need more 😅 I have a a great job at a local government, working within the legal sector however not high chances of a sponsorship. I have made my peace with that and I will just enjoy the time I have left here, I am looking forward to going back to my family and friends and perhaps in the future some new opportunity will arise, I’ll still watch your videos every week to keep up with the changes, again thank you so much, you are the best there is!!
@Karl, a recent survey just found 30% of new Visa 485 candidates age above 35 are currently working in the Health sector (e.g. nurses and aged care workers) and other critical industries. I hope the government sees this and do something before it is too late.
Most of us are working hard to get the PR but it seems that its never enough! 10 yr in Au, currently on 485, over 35, RN from AU Uni, almost 2yr experience at the health care public sector , worked during the pandemic 😷… but who cares… only if I have 80-85 points that I may matter!
I'm an ICT Business Analyst with 85 points. If they keep inviting only 120 people from my occupation, it's gonna take 6 years for me to receive an invitation. :S
worse, because there will be a constant stream of higher score people to join the queue, the 6 years could mean never in all practical sense, not to mention new points table will surely shake all the EOI rankings.
Are you onshore or offshore? FYI Australia does not need more Business Analysts. The market is inexplicably saturated with Business Analysts so it'll be incredibly difficult to find work even in the unlikely scenario that you do get PR.
@@oliviacastilo977 I disagree. While the demand for Business Analysts won't be brutal, there will be a constant need for them, since basically all companies need to hire them at one point (at least, if they want to operate properly). "The NSW gov will adopt the Home Affairs definition of skilled employment and apply the immigration department's policy when assessing employment skilled points" Does this mean that for ICT we can finally use the ACS Post-Study Skill Assessment for claiming employment?
Thanking you specially for all you have done for international students. It is high time governments start putting the right people in the right places instead of these politicians that are always interested in party loyalty. Look at what they have done to people's futures. I sold my father's car and property to come here only for the government to refuse myself and many others the opportunity to access the 485 visa that was part of the original attraction for wanting to come to Australia. I wonder when it has become a crime to be 35yrs and above and especially when we were not told that this is what they will do to us.
Thanks Karl. Have a question: Can I apply for a 189 visa while awaiting a decision for offshore partner visa 309? would it lead to cancel my partner's visa application? Can I have two visa application active at a time?
How come that Systems/Business Analysts constantly get invited with 100+ points? If the competition is that high, why should average people even bother?
It’s been almost two years i have had applied on same skill on 90 and no news of below 100 points invitation , i guess no points of having it cz your whole TR will be gone on job experience and again no getting back to students life once in TR… squeezed from every points
Regarding the NSW changes: ACS chops off two years of software engineering work experience in their skill assessments, and in the past, if you had 5 YoE, you could only put 3 years of relevant work experience for the NSW EOI (to match what the ACS letter says) but could put 5 YoE for Victoria and other states. Does this mean that it's now possible to put 5 YoE for NSW as well, regardless of what ACS says?

The government must help them.

As a result, those temporary professionals hit the market and could not match the original holder of many years of professional experience. and those PR holders' vision is to earn more money, could not serve the country as experienced professionals.
Hi Karl. Is this ok to select option "any" in EOI to aplly for all states instead of submitting separate EOI for every state? Please your reaponse will be appreviated
Some predictions on 190 grants would be slowing down in September and October, and would be picking up again in November and December, do you think this is true? Or are such predictions bogus, the trend of grants continuing as is?

@@ailsaustralia This is the post, sir: The issue is that TSMIT condition requires a minimum salary of $73,150 for sponsorship and most internships pay around $56,000. As a result, many employers are unable to sponsor them on 494 visas. The conflict arises when overseas pharmacists attempt to be sponsored on a 494 or 482 visas under the retail pharmacist occupation. While this may seem logical, it is not feasible in practice. Interns often perform a variety of tasks and responsibilities that do not align with the typical duties of a retail pharmacist, making it impossible to meet the TSMIT salary requirement. The problem relies in the misalignment between the intern title and the retail pharmacist occupation. Overseas pharmacists are to get sponsored under the retail pharmacist occupation while they are often provisionally registered and are typically seeking internships to complete their registration process. However, the TSMIT condition, which is typically associated with fully registered pharmacists, presents a significant hurdle. To address this issue, we need a concession to the TSMIT condition for overseas pharmacists for the internship period. This would allow employers to sponsor qualified candidates without meeting the full salary requirement. By providing a concession to the TSMIT condition for the internship period, we can create a more viable pathway for overseas pharmacists to gain Australian experience and contribute to the workforce.

I'm really wondering, what will be the best strategy to ever come back to this country ? It is so unfair. I am offshore, 90 pts on 189, occupation: Multimedia specialist. I lived 5 years in Australia, was about to be sponsored on a 186 visa, paid everything, then the company went into liquidation, and I never got my visa, lost my job, lost my money. Had to go back to my home country, and now, I have basically 0 chance of ever getting back to Australia. Should I just then use a student visa to get there and hunt for a job in order to get sponsorship ? that's basically the only solution when you look at how the system is now 😔
it is possible they are ranking candidates based on point details rather than just totals, such as English language ability and work experience. And the cutoff also include EOI submission date. Whoever submits EOI first gets invited first. Could be that your EOI is submitted on the late side thus didn't get invited.
@@estellebright2579 ranking candidates on facts other than points and date effects, especially when they haven’t announced it, would be illegal, no? Yeah, probably had some people ahead of me in the queue at 90 pts

Hi Karl, my brother has applied for his PR through a migration consultant but he seems to be cheating us. Can we submit his EOIs again by ourselves?
Why hospitality industry is not getting success in Australia sir? Or I'm saying wrong there is good for hospitality industry always?
Good day Karl.
What if iam already 40 yrs old and 5 yrs working as a Registered Nurse here in Canada, can i still apply for 190 visa even if my score is only 60 pts?
Thank you very much🙏
I can’t see the link
I am planning to lease restuarant bar in melbourne in 2025 hopefully what type of visa do I need? 893 or 188 ?
@karl don't worry everybody are here already. They don't want to go back where they are belong. The students they throw the paper and also the old parents too and they want to stay in Australia until they die, they said. Now they are charity freeloader like st. Vencent. The government must help them.
People focus on PR only, even If they have to leave their years of profession.
As a result, those temporary professionals hit the market and could not match the original holder of many years of professional experience.
and those PR holders' vision is to earn more money, could not serve the country as experienced professionals.
Hi Karl! Any news about QLD?
No nothing at all!
Civil was not at 75 points
I applied for EOI under Agriculture consultant with 65 points do i get any sponsorship 🤔
Need to put in your EOI then fingers crossed
Hi Karl. Is this ok to select option "any" in EOI to aplly for all states instead of submitting separate EOI for every state? Please your reaponse will be appreviated
You will be better offer with individual EOI's for each state
@@ailsaustralia thanks Karl. ❤️
Some predictions on 190 grants would be slowing down in September and October, and would be picking up again in November and December, do you think this is true? Or are such predictions bogus, the trend of grants continuing as is?
The usual up and processing trend always vary from year to year

Hi sir ,
We need your suuport on LinkedIn post about the pharmacist internship in Australia
Best of luck but I'm not sure what the issue is. BTW I dont use LinkedIn
@@ailsaustralia
This is the post, sir:
The issue is that TSMIT condition requires a minimum salary of $73,150 for sponsorship and most internships pay around $56,000.
NSW govt symbol has lotus symbol :) that's my mom's name Kamal & Gayatri vehicle :)
There used to be pure red symbol. Dunno why they change the colour scheme but other places they still use red lotus.
It's not a lotus.
It's a Waratah. National flower in NSW
Nice to hear
I got invited on this round
Brazilian carpenter 80 points living in nsw since 2018
Thank you Karl and team for all the information provided so far, it really helped me through this whole process that i did all by myself

Should I just then use a student visa to get there and hunt for a job in order to get sponsorship ? that's basically the only solution when you look at how the system is now 😔
I'm afraid yes there will be shift to employer sponsorship but also people who have good work expreience
I have visa851 how sponsors
Not sure of your question but thanks for watching
Love from Punjab Pakistan ❤❤
Thanks
9:26 and I’ve been waiting with 90 points as a mech engineer since April 2024
June round data also shows mech engg at 90 pts
The heck?! 😮
it is possible they are ranking candidates based on point details rather than just totals, such as English language ability and work experience. And the cutoff also include EOI submission date. Whoever submits EOI first gets invited first. Could be that your EOI is submitted on the late side thus didn't get invited.
Not sure why some get invited and others not I'm afraid but mostly likey EOI order
@@estellebright2579 ranking candidates on facts other than points and date effects, especially when they haven’t announced it, would be illegal, no?
Yeah, probably had some people ahead of me in the queue at 90 pts
@@ailsaustralia probably and hopefully it’s just that

There is no free visa, and I don’t mean VAC free visa.
Thats right if it sounds too good to be true it probably isn't

Hello Mr. Karl
I am writing to express my concern regarding the ongoing lack of visa invitations for pharmacists despite the occupation being listed on the Australian Skilled Occupation List, specifically the Priority Occupation List.
As a skilled pharmacist, I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to the Australian healthcare system. I have been closely following the visa invitation rounds and have noticed that while other medical professions such as physiotherapists and nurses have been receiving regular invitations, pharmacists have been consistently overlooked.
I would be grateful if you could provide me with some insights into the reasons behind this discrepancy. Is there a specific policy or circumstance that is preventing pharmacists from being considered for visa invitations?
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.
