    Hi Carl, .... the opportunity of making a real difference in someone else's life and then the gratitude, the moving gratitude that is shown by People when they finally get their PR, is what, personally, pushed me to become an RMA 10 years ago in the first place; yes, we are paid (usually) for what we do, but still, the sincere gratitude of someone like the Family you saved, it is something I also have experienced through the years and THAT is my real payment!
    Their words moved me as well; well done Carl and team.

    Interesting, thanks!
    My partner is an ECT with over 5 years of experience overseas and more than 2 years working as an ECT in Australia. However, ACECQA has only recognised her ECT degree (a 4-year program including all required professional practice) as equivalent to a 'Diploma,' which is now preventing us from applying for permanent residency. When we appealed, the only response we received was, "We have checked, and it is a diploma."
    This is incredibly frustrating, especially given the current shortages and, most importantly, the effort and dedication she is putting into her work.

    Thank you for the visa-related update. Just for the sake of clarification, I want to ask a few things:
    a. If Australia is your Usual Country of Residence and you visit other countries like your home country, such as India or Pakistan or any other country for conference or holiday purposes, then will the addresses you stayed at in those countries come under "Address History" or not? To me, it looks like it should come under ONLY the "Travel History" but not under the "Address History" because even if someone visits and stays in another country for a month or two for a visit and not for study or work, it does not change your residential address. Please clarify if it should come under both or only one.
    b. During student life, some students change their addresses frequently. If they did not mention some of their addresses in previous visa applications, like 485, then mentioning those missing addresses in permanent visa applications will create any conflict or not if they are trying to be honest in mentioning addresses this time?
    c. If someone did not bother much about the exact dates when applying for a temporary visa but now considering carefully when applying for the PR visa, should they mention those previous dates or the exact new dates they recalled or got it from their timeline history?
    d. Before coming to Australia for the first time, your usual country of residence is your home country. Do you need to mention this travel in your last 10 years of travel history or not? If you need to mention it, then what should be the "To Date" in your travel history?
    Your responses to these clarifications are highly appreciated.

    Diploma Childcare educators are not included in any list either, even though there is a shortage of educators in the whole country. Just ECT and Childcare Managers are included.
    In addition, it’s very frustrating that there is an age limit to apply for PR. (186 Visa).

    • @ailsaustralia
      @ailsaustralia  12 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Yeah I know and I don't know why they are reluctant to include these occupations. Also in the caring service sector the older you are the usually the better!

    The Subclass 186 Transition stream requires applicants to hold a Subclass 482 visa and to have worked for a continuous period of 24 months with the same employer. Should an applicant change employers during this period, the 24-month work requirement is reset, as it must be completed with the same employer.
    Each year, Australia receives approximately 30,000 applications for the Subclass 186 Transition visa. If, after fulfilling the 24-month work requirement on a Subclass 482 visa, an applicant's employer fails to nominate them for the Subclass 186 visa, this effectively denies them the same opportunity available to the 30,000 other applicants. Such a scenario raises concerns of inequality, as the applicant, having met the necessary work requirements, is left without the ability to transition to permanent residency. This situation could be viewed as a form of exploitation, particularly for migrant workers who have diligently complied with visa conditions yet face barriers to securing permanent status.

    • @CRG0702
      @CRG0702 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There are significant changes to the 186 transition pathway already announced / implemented soon.
      To the heart of one of your points a 482 holder will no longer be required to be with the same employer 24 months, and does not lose accumulated experience by changing to another 482 nominated position. In addition the periods for finding your new employer has increased as well as the ability to do any employment in the period in between securing a 482 nominated position.
      These changes are significant and we wait to see what else will be introduced with the with renamed 482 Skills In Demand visa expected to commence from 23rd November.
      I'm sure we'll hear from Karl once all of the detail becomes available.

I wouldn’t like to get my student visa approved before my 189 because I wouldn’t be able to work full time until my 189 is approved, also, lots of student visas are being refused so I don’t want to take the risk of getting refused and that may affect my 189 application, I need so directing here. I thought I was gonna get bridging visa C at the moment of application for 189 but I haven’t get it yet… maybe because I applied during the weekend… should I wait to see if I get it or apply manually before withdrawing student application?

      The 190 has no conditions so if after the visa granted you decided to move, then yes

    I have submitted EOIs in all eligible states where my occupation is in demand. Occupation is Electronic instrument Trade worker (special class). The point breakdown 189 visa is 65, 190 is 70, and 491 is 80. EOI submitted in the month of February still has not received an invitation. There is a chance of invitation in this occupation. I'm an offshore candidate.

    Hey Carl. Thanks for all your efforts. I want to request to keep tabs of visa processing times like how you used to do it earlier. Some of the times (eg 190)has been increasing and it's not looking like it's coming down. It's currently at 18 months. 😢

      They are taking too long to approve their visas 😢 13 months waiting for 190.

      Honestly unless the data reflects what’s really happening, keeping tab on inaccurate data doesn’t help much. What we need more is greater transparency and independent organisations holding DOHA accountable. Unfortunately that’s not going to happen.

    I remember a video last year about the government discussing power coupled and making changes to attract these individuals. Could you do a video on this topic one year later? It seems logical and easy to implement change but the labour government hasn't done anything.

      Age 30

      Superior English 20
      PY 5 (for selected occupations)
      NAATI 5
      Single 10
      Here’s your 90 points, and many people can reach this point without working in their nominated occupation at all.

    Hi Carl. To claim 5 points for regional study, do we have to stay in regional from day 1 of study? I moved to regional after 5 weeks of study & completed rest of the study living (2.3 years in total) & studying in regional postcode.
    Please reply.
