Season 20, Episode 1.
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

It would be so interesting to see the full 1-2hr unedited version of some of these pitches.
That would be great to see
That is all i want in life 😂
surely theres enough of a market for that, its not like it would take much more work to just release it all, even if its just on TH-cam, im sure they record it all anyway
What where the get shot down?
If someone asked me to buy a kinder egg to put tablets in and asked for £50k towards the business. I would laugh.
I doubt they're spending 12 hours listening to pitches
Peters face after Touker mentioned all the medication he takes then said he's healthy at 8:52 😁
😆😆
lmao
Medication keeps you healthy, that's literally what it's there for.
@@BenjaminGooseCouldn’t agree more. Science helps people when needed and thank god. Imagine a world without that little help from pills designed.
That was hilarious, you sound really healthy Touker 😂
When that second ecstacy pill kicks in 9:19
Ikr her eyes looked like they were about to fly out of their sockets and explode
Hahahahhahaha 👏🏻
yeah that got me bad 😂
😂
@anovosedlik lol yep
Great episode.
Perfect example of the dragons investing in the person more than the business
The fact that she told them with a straight face that in such situations there were no alternatives to carrying a massive pill bottle was hilarious. My nan had a fancy pill box decades ago.
The fact they believed her was pretty funny to
There's a market for collectable antique pill boxes from bygone days.
Yeah you're not wrong. I was definitely thinking "Ehh I have seen SOME pill boxes out there that aren't the ones that the pills come in". I do like her modernised design though. It's similar to drink bottles and thermoses. I think it would stand out well in the market. It would be the one that catches my eye in a pharmacy if I was looking for pill bottles/boxes.
@@DK_Sonperhaps, but would you spend 18 quid on it though?
Yes@@scienceevolves4417

I don't get why they say a pitch was phenomenal? It's just someone explaining what they came for and what their product/business is and how it started. I think it's fine and Steven says PHENOMENAL. I just notice it a lot with the dragons to the point I'm making this comment.
I think its just the way she delivered it. A lot of people try to dodge the issues their products have. She was straight up. Other then the fact that its over priced
They said it to help calm her nerves but they shouldn’t have because it wasn’t.
lucy did so well considering the overpriced pill box, low sales etc i wish her success
Its the person, sometimes, not the product.
That's the first time Ive had goosebumps for someone getting a deal. Well done Lucy!!!
I'd be nervous too, walking into the den to pitch a box I'm selling for £18, but in fairness she played the damsel in distress role very well.
It's so easy to spot the fragile, bitter little men
Over priced I think
A pill receptical! A container! 'Best product pitch ever?'. .Hmmm, i hugely disagree.
Theres 100's of pill receptacles, fancy high end to dollar store
the pitch was impressive, i agree that the product is not at all impressive, very overpriced for what it is, totally copiable, not worth even the cost price she is paying for it let alone selling for18 pounds
It's an amazing product.
I think it was a very good pitch; the result speaks for itself.
The title is 'most impressive pitch ever', which is about the presentation of the product and business, not about the product itself.
That being said, I don't agree that it's the 'most impressive pitch ever'.
I mean...it's a box
It's ridiculous...
MOST IMPRESSIVE PITCH, OFFERS, COUNTER OFFER AND DEAL AND LOVE I'VE EVER SEEN IN THE DEN. I'm happy for the lady
I put my pills in an old metal travel sweet container - does the job, looks cool and moreover no one knows or even cares when I take my tablets
Same. Mint box.
20 series for Peter! wow!
£18 for a pill box 🤣
Be good to see the follow up to this one.
I will be very surprised if the deal goes through.
she said her self anyone can copy this, sorry to burst her bubble but pill boxes can be picked up for less the £2.00. and good ones at that.
But saying that I wish her good luck
You'd be surprised. But I wonder how they market this. I'm gonna look it up.
I think k you can reproduce the box but the branding may sell it
Her idea is making it into a fashion brand for younger people who have to take pills on a consistent basis so this would naturally make the cost higher then most boxes, but shes also a start up meaning her manufacturing prices will be higher due to cost of sale, better has connections in china for manufacturing so he would make it cheaper to make, and once the brand takes of and sales increase they can start buying stock in bulk reducing prices further. People need to remember that cost of manufacturing when a product is new specifically becuase of scale. more customers the more the product can be cheaper.
Unidentifiable medication in an unlabelled pill case sounds like a great idea
Ex pharmacy tech here, thought exactly the same thing
People know their own medications by sight and those portable pill boxes are always unlabelled.
@@nathr7375 they are talking about if a person has to go to hospital and they are unresponsive and cannot answer questions like "what medication are you taking?" which can alter the outcome of treatment.
@@nathr7375 trust me they don’t. I’m a healthcare practitioner, when asking patients which medications they’re on, the majority have no clue and just take what the doc prescribes. Or how about if a child finds this pill case and decides to pop a few?
Its for her own use so she knows what shes taking. But your point brings up valid incase of an emergency incase any doctor or paramedic needs to know what drug is taken.
Strange one. Most people would have been torn apart coming in with this business
Yes, and they took another guy apart a few years ago for making the same mistake to deduct stock from profits.
It’s because she acts like a child
"Grass on a tray"😂
People buy people :)
dunno why but i smiled all the way thru this! her nervous positivity is huge in this world!
Aligning your respective interests with others is a real formula for success. Well done dragons on this one. Real risk taking
🎉
In certain places in the US, and possibly other countries, depending on the medication, it is illegal to transport or possess the meds without the prescription bottle to prove the possessor can legally possess the meds.
That may be a tiny snag.
only in places where that is the case. not everywhere.
Lol, talk about the us... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Need a dedicated meds box to carry it "legally" on you, but if you want to walk around with 10 semi automatic rifles, you're sort of "fine"!
🤔🤔🤔
Realistically that's only gonna be an issue at airports where you'd probably be carrying the whole bottle anyway since you need to bring a larger supply.
@@noodlesthe1stor cops stop you somewhere and you don’t have you rx on you
WOW, the US is definitely a "free" country...
£18 for a few pennies worth of a pills container with 0 barrier to entry...🙄🤔...scrap that title👍🏻
She sells to retailer at 8-9 or whatever the retailers sell for a 100% markup, she said she could also reduce her cost which is 4 a unit and has a lot of stock. Honestly weird, margins are insanely high.
He facial expressions are funny 😂
They're not... They are "made for TV" fake and extremely irritating
She's great tbh. And working for Peter would be one of the few jobs I'd actually be happy to do. She's won life.
why would anyone care about someone seeing them taking medication?
they wouldnt but its not about what people think its about how the person taking the pills feels. Everyone could say they dont care but at then end of the day she could still feel embarassed meaning the problem still exists.
I agree.
The title is crazy or incorrect, there is no fancy bike scooter causing entertainment, it's literally a pill box, that was well overpriced. It gave me the idea of using a plastic container next time I have such issue.
This was awesome. My blood was boiling. Her mind moves at such a fast pace you can literally see her thinking. Genius!!!
Genius? She doesn’t know what net profit is and sells an overpriced metal tube. Genius is a bit of a stretch mate
Boiling blood and seeing thinking. Impressive!
You can put pills in any little container which cost around £1
I keep my pills in a tatty plastic bag and take them out (6) one by one whenever I have to. Not paying £18 for a holder.
Why would you be embarassed/secretive about taking tablets that prolongue/better your life?! I got the same diagnosis last month but not sure (yet) if it's operable or not because of complications but embarassed about taking tablets? I don't get it. Crazy.
That's a good question, I'm assuming it's because her target audience are painfully vain and worried about what others think, which makes her market incredibly small
I hope you get well !
@@orlovsskibet Thank you kindly. I have some CT scans on Wednesday and a visit to the hospital dietician on Thursday then once they're done, a meeting with the surgical team to discuss options.
Some of us don't want to publically display that we need to take pills - we don't want that kind of attention.
@@MetteC5 Who would take any notice at all of someone taking pills/tablets? I don't know what kind of places you'd go to where you would get "that kind of attention" either but each to their own I guess. Personally it wouldn't bother me at all, although I only take tablets in the morning and again in the evening atm and I can't get out and about either unless an essential hospital appointment etc. But if it bothers you, fair enough.

The dragons are no longer dragons. It's a tube not a genius idea. Come in with a tube, get an offer and a job.
I would say ppl are desperate to be their own boss that anything they can think of they run with it. Just the sign of the times really.
this is lovely!
"Don't tale your life saving cancer medicin, ex-cancer patient!"
- nobody, never
Also, don't take your pills in front of the rave shed, because that's the only thing where I can imagine a "Stigma" lmao
A small light bulb at the end, a distress beacon, a compass, a tiny smoke cannister, the tiniest of cameras, and a tiny blade then you’ve got something!
Well done to her. I’ve watched DD for years. That’s it, just watched. Like life. I’ve watched it go by. I’m now 53 and feel like I’ve mucked about for the 20 years since my divorce. Lived day to day. No strategy, (other than buy a load of tinned food and put it in a box in February 2022). No ambition. Nothing. So, well done to her.
Wow, profound. Why don't you develop the item that you're describing?
1:03 Did anyone catch a slight nod to the Pink Panther theme music to match her pink outfit? Or is it my imagination?
That is brilliant, any updates?
She seemed a bit obsessed with Touker, made me feel a little uncomfortable to watch it
Even gave Peter a little wink, strange woman
So awkward lol
Lucy is a monster looks innocent but cheeky
What a tremendously fine and inspiring young lady
Lucy you are fabulous. I wish you all the best young lady. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
The answer for the clickbait question in the title, is 'no, not even close'.
Regarding the product itself, 20 pounds is way too much for a small plastic container.
I hope she does well 🙏 💕
Wouldn’t pay more than £3 for the product

Noone buys stuff cos it's been around it has to be good, at least good enough. Or good enough for a segment of the population. I don't listen to Taylor swift either but she's the most streamed.
Tej would’ve been best for this
Does anyone else think the set of Dragon's Den looks like the area from the end of Silent Hill 2, the last boss, that weird Maria woman thing on the ceiling. It's almost like the exact same area. But with some chairs.
Haha^^ James! :D
How is this idea even getting offers? It’s a pill box which has been around for decades
I wonder what happens if the police ask what type of medication it is… Where is the prescription? Definitely would be an issue flying or with the authorities…
These are gonna get used so much at festivals🤣🤣🤣

What privilege to work with Peter ,Touker & Sara…..
I think the knowledge she will gain will out weigh any percentage she gave away….mshe beat the Dragons…
I would work for any of the dragons for free….just for education
Why would the dragons have you working with them ? I’m pretty sure you would have to pay them to even be near them..
13:30 word🤝
Peter is no fool he just poached a very bright star.
I'm sorry but who actually cares about somebody taking medication? I don't think it's a very creative idea
Prove that wit marketing and branding you can sell anything 😅
What was Peter expecting offering her a job?
That wouldn't work in the US, it's illegal to carry medication in anything other than the prescription bottle. Could you imagine the extra work this would cause for officers and arrests of people using it to carry meds lol
If you are travelling to ME you need to carry your prescription. Otherwise...
well done Lucy....

cents? i dont think so
I'd like to see the aftermath
Can someone explain to me the mistake that Debra pointed to?
i have my own history with mental institution take it from me this chick is right on my alley
She does seem a bit odd.
Just checked and they are still being sold at £18 each...people must be nuts to buy them at that price. Good pitch though.
They obviously invested in the entrepreneur not the business or product
What a ridiculous product. Why would you want something expensive and “great looking” just for pills you’re taking? I’d be very surprised if this sells.
The pitch was not “phenomenal”.
Great pitch
What a lovely outcome for this creon based entrepreneur
did she wear that sports top underneath her suit to show off her operation scars? interesting woman
WoW, good on her :)
Medication is the problem, no cure, just treat the symptoms
They invested in her more than they invested in the product
Bro peter is a nice guy
I really love the design, it's not revolutionary but it's handy and serves a purpose. It definitely beats the invention of wearing a hummingbird feeder on your head on Shark Tank the other day 😂🤣
She was rude and disrespectful and I’d have been out straight away if I were Deborah!
..so.. it’s a pill container?
i'm quite confused on how they think a box is that good
Technically, you're supposed to have prescriptions in original container.
maybe in your country. not everywhere.
Yeah there could be a health risk if you were to mix things up sort something like that
The invested in her, not the product
