This comes in light of her exile and alienation from the Labor Party after she crossed the floor to support a Green's motion in recognition of Palestinian statehood, in defiance of the Labor Party!

Just an fyi, labor didn't say they didn't want to recogise Palestine as a state. They wanted to amend the bill to say they recogise Palestine as a state in a two state solution. Labor also has already recognised Palestine and wish for its statehood. While arguing for a ceasefire.
Australia has not recognised Palestine, and the term -as a part of the peace process' is the same delaying tactic that has enabled the usurping of Palestinian land (not even counting the massive theft of all of historical Palestine given to Is. In '48). If their position was really about the peace process, why do they recognise Is.?
