I remember taking Tahm to prevent my newbie friend from dying. Or picking him top to punish people for taking midlane/adc champions here. Now his kit is all over the place, before that he was good at ruining engages. Now his kit can mildly do that at lvl 6 + W for engage

He’s not nearly as strong but he’s still a monster, go grasp for tank or HOB if you’re gonna go bruiser. Sunfire cape, titanic and deadman’s+ spirit visage and you’re unstoppable, and for bruiser start of with rage blade, titanic hydra, trinforce then any item you see fit. I played him As an OnHit and he’s OP, just very squishy

Took away his "safety" while saving an ally, then release a champion that can 4 man shield a team while coming the enemy team from across the map.

We're getting into heavy team interactions. With Kalista, Bard and Tahm, skills become double edge swords that will require more team work to work with.

ciaran connolly favors ranked team, but solo q? Hell no, however a duo q with tahm and proper communication and understanding could be surprisingly effective
Sangwoo Shin Yea that was one of the things dota 2 used to have over league but also made it less fun for new players because they wouldn't know how to use them to help the team as much as they were able to hurt it with, but riot has started to run out of ideas for champion abilities, so they are finally learning that in a game based on teamwork, being able to do something to an ally can sometimes be an advantages especially in the pro scene, and are finally bringing things like the devour, kalista ult, and bard ult into the game :D

Tahm Kench as a character is actually really interesting. He might even qualify as a force of nature type villain.
So... what if Tahm devours an enemy champion, is linked with a Kalista, and then Kalista ults while he still has them devoured?

SUPERGREGGJR I believe that abilities such as Lucian's, MF's, and Vel'Koz's ults do not work inside of Tahm. If the ability is a channel that can be interrupted such as those, I'm pretty sure it prevents them from being devourered (from the Q&A). Rumble and Swain's abilities are not actually channels that can be interrupted, so they still work.

The first time I saw Tahm Kench being played it was by one of my friends.
We were near the enemy Nexus and he decided to devour me and then spit me out into the enemies base, which killed me.
RIP.

Gunrunking I suspect it's not "too big" (despite what Phreak says) as there are champions which are demonstrably bigger than both Red and Blue buff, Nautilus, Sion, and Cho'gath among them. However, I suspect it's more "too spicy", as both Red and Blue buff have those swirly magic things on their backs. Too damaging to his prodigious gulp to have a literal ball of magical energy in there.
Dragon and Baron are totally too big to fit in there, though. Baron especially.
Duifromwaiheke Notice, however, that he doesn't eat any champ (or monster, or minion) entirely. He licks a few things, he gulps a few things, but he always spits out the things he eats. (Except, of course, for Helmet Bro's helm in his joke, although that looks more like "hide the evidence!" than "mmm, tasty!")
Gunrunking just wanted to leave a comment :P but he has a really cool champion design in my opinion but flaws like this are in my opinion very minor and dont change his playability
I enjoy how candid these spotlights are getting. It's quite nice to hear a quip or two.
I like the creativity of the new heroes. Their design and their abilities look unique. Looks fun.

Syrange13 No you can't. Riot answered it in a Q&A on Tahm. You can check it out at Surrender at 20 for more details.
Syrange13 no the Q and A they said that he definatly could NOT do that (but boots of swiftness would reduce the effectiveness of the slow)
Assuming this isn't patched:
1) Play either Tahm or Kalista and have a partner play the other.
2) Soul Link Tahm with Kalista.
3) Get Kalista's Ultimate ready.
4) Get Tahm to swallow an enemy champion.
5) Ult Tahm with Kalista.
6) Tahm dashes undertower.
7) Bon Appetite and happy feeding.

Geno The Creeper You can already do this, with Blitz. He just has to pull, and then Kal ults him and the hook still pulls the person to blitz inside kalista.
The Baws You ca do it even further if you put a thresh lantern in between kalista and blitz
Or just use Thresh since he has the lower cooldown on the teammate pulls.

+Dylan Dang You could during beta, in PBE, and in the first week after he got released. However, if you want a tip, you can still exit his mouth after 2 seconds instead of 4 by spamming right-click in the direction in which you want to exit.

What is the theme that begins playing at 1:04? It is featured in the Champion Spotlights for Ekko, Tahm Kench, and Gangplank, but none of the others, and I can't find it in League's Soundcloud.
I haven't played League of Legends since path 4.21, but I've been keeping an eye on it. This is the kind of champion design that would make me come back to play again. This might be solely based on my preference, but Tahm Kench feels like a more solidly designed champion than those as of late.
p.s. Hearing Phreak say "potentially hella far away!" makes my skin crawl.

The most hilarious thing I've done with Tahm Kench up in top lane is get Stormraider's and boots of Swiftness. Chunk enemy, eat, speed away at mach five and they have NO idea how it happened. It is the most hilarious shit you'll ever see.

Yes, it does. You just have to be able to chunk opponents.
It does but first you have to be a little strong on AP for Q, or AD for basic attacks, cause you have to deal 30% of a champion's maximum health within 2.5 seconds.
Plan is:
-Get in a brush
-Solo enemy comes nearby
-When close enough: Basic, Q, Basic and devour the shit out of him
-2 seconds later he realizes he is under your turret

Juble well no, thats what he meant: Its only a stun when the enemy has 3 Stacks. The old Sion q stunned always and wasnt even a skillshot. The 3 stack version is an easy way for riot to make sure he cant just lock you down without a chance to respond! And this champion has alot of deapth even with this "easy" way of making him not op.
