Thank you for the information! I used the bulbs on your link for the license plate lights on my 2015 Ram 1500 Sport, and they appear to work great so far! No codes thrown on the dashboard computer. Before I replaced them, had the previous LED bulbs installed by the previous owner and one was flickering and this caused the code (license plate light out) to be thrown. I lived with it for a month or two and decided to fix them. LED bulbs and CANBUS stuff is still new to me, but these appear to work as advertised.
They appear to be brighter than the previous ones, which I really don't care about (who cares about bright license plate lights?) but I wanted to keep the truck all LED...without throwing g codes in the computer.
These appear to meet that need. Will check tonight for brightness (I thought the previous ones were fine, if not a bit TOO bright (I am a tad nervous about the affect on the backup camera, which seems to be affected at night by bright light in the frame) but will see.
It's only been a half hour and in my driveway during bright sunshine, but they are brighter and don't flicker, and don't throw a code.
They are a bit pricey, but I don't have a problem paying more for quality and performance.

We tried a bunch of lights and finally found the LASFIT brand work without throwing the light on the dash and are only like $10 on Amazon 👍

Did you turn them about 1/4 turn? They are pretty easy to get out! 😯

Hi, i had a 2015 limited and it shows me on the info screen “license plate light burned”, i need to add a pair of resistors??? Or canbus???
Hey Diego I ended up trying a bunch of bulbs before FINALLY finding a inexpensive set that work without any errors. Don't hack up your harness with resistors. Check out this video these ones were only about $9 and have been working perfectly on my truck and others for months!

Hey John. I know you ended up getting License plate lamps from Amazon after several attempts with other LED bulbs. I went to the link for those bulbs and when I put in the info on my truck ( 2014 Ram 1500 ) it says those bulbs don’t fit that year. Did you get that when you ordered yours? Thanks.

I got them off eBay for $1 but they sometimes throw a bulb out warning on the dash. I'm probably going to try out some better ones soon. They don't turn off and still work but you just get the message on the dash unfortunately.
I dont think the original bulbs are "halogen"... aren't they just regular incandescent bulbs? Halogen burn really bright and HOT.

The Sylvania bulbs will throw a light. Check out my other vids where I show ones that finally work for our trucks! Nothing wrong with leaving those but its annoying having all those lights on in the dash

Check the latest video I posted with the LASFIT brand. They are better and don't throw a error message on the dash!
FYI the Elite Vision brand that's linked is junk. They float around in the socket and have really poor connectivity on a 2016 RAM. Tried a different brand on Amazon and they work great.

John, I replace the Tag, Cargo and Reverse light with the LEDs that you had posted. I noticed that they get really hot, not sure if hotter than the stock bulbs though.
Have you had any issues with them and the plastic lenses in these lights? The tag ones concern me the most because they could potentially be on for a long time compared to cargo or reverse.
BTW, I actually ordered the ones from your other video from Lasfit..

I haven't had any issues so far and the license plate ones have been in for awhile too. Halogens get pretty damn hot and when I took the halogens out at around 100k miles the plug for the lightbulb looks like its taken quite a bit of heat and is discolored so I wouldnt be too concerned with LED having heat also.
Now people can read your license plate better at night which may not be a good thing.

You dont need a cambus compatible i have upgraded all my interiors and exterior to led and no error in almost 7 months il post the seller from ebay were i got them from I got 20leds for 10 dollars
Nice post it up! Might depend on what year your truck is. I just posted another video of more expensive sylvania LED bulbs that still throw the error on the dash.
