    You have the best yoga videos on youtube. other yoga instructors talk waaaay to much are have conversations with themselves in their videos. Your videos are so professional and your voice is very soothing!

    Sara Beth, I have a question about the twist. I can't get my legs over and keep my shoulder down; it's either or or. Should I take the legs over and prop the shoulder or vice versa?

    Curious about possible variations? I have lordosis, so when I lay flat on the mat on my back and have my legs laying flat, I can just about fit both my hands under my lower back, right above my tail bone. It's always been an extremely uncomfortable position for me. Is there anyway to help that during these positions? Or are there any of your videos that you think would help straighten and relax my back best? I saw you scoliosis videos, but not sure those would help in this case. Any ideas would be awesome! :)

      Rian Powers It's normal to have some curve in the spine but if you're uncomfortable then slide a rolled up blanket or pillow underneath your knees while on your back.       SarahBethYoga The curve in mine is very uncomfortable. Unless I have my knees up for a 90 degree angle with my hips, my low back and right hip especially hurt. The pillow under the knees trick doesn't quite work unfortunately. I will definitely look into your Yoga for Back Health Playlist though. I know my hips/hamstrings are super tight, so I'm hoping the more yoga I work with will help. I only started Monday, but I do feel a difference. Looking forward to more! Thank you!

      You may have to experiment with propping your middle/upper back with a blanket as well. As your hips and hamstrings loosen up hopefully you'll feel better in that position :)

    I love your videos!!! This one and the "20 minute stretch yoga for neck & shoulders" one are my favorite!! I´m a professional violinist and I usually have too much tension (and pain) on my neck, shoulders and back. You can´t imagine how much these two videos have helped me, so thank you very much!!!!! :)

    I had a nagging ache in my lower back. when I do this I feel my back pulsing the whole time, right where it hurts. when I get to the last pose I feel so much better. I think my favorite is the figure 4 one, but my right hip is waaay more stiff than the other. will they be more even if I do it every day?

    Thank you for this practice Sarah Beth. I hurt my back doing a Pilates tuck and roll back and forth. I shouldn't have tried to keep up with the Instructor as it kind of hurt right away then as I kept going, my back, especially thoracic, became really painful. I found this stretching which helped and at the end I added a downward dog with bent knees, cat and cow and going to get into our steam shower then take a mildly hot shower. I have several back issues and never want to do that tuck and roll again so will have to look for something else to do when my Pilates Instructor is doing those. Thanks again. Jillie

    I have been following various utube yoga videos for over a month. I am experiencing knee and shoulder injury pain, I therefor find your gentle stretching series really helpful. Tonight I decided to do your stress relief stretches but ended up doing three more: the neck and shoulders, the lower back and the deep stretches. I love the background music, the calmness in your demonstration, the voice over ‘no nonsense’ instructions and the options available for people who are at different level of ability. If it was not nearly 11pm, I would have carrying on doing the next video. Thank you and I look forward to getting stronger and to get back in doing some of your more powerful yoga series.

    I really love this practice. I have a conective tissue disease and have had surgeries to my hips and pelvis. I suffer a lot of muscle tension around my low back which effects my posture. This is the only routine that i've found to really help. Can't thank you enough. Love your videos x

    This is such a good stretch for me @sarahbeth I recently had foot surgery and wearing a splint up to my knees. Between the knee scooter and the crutches my neck back and shoulders are twisted up. This is helping. And this is one of the many of your sessions I do in my home. Love the doing something every day mantra.

    On Saturday I did something to my lower back to the point that I couldn't walk straight. I did this yoga session once or twice a day. By Wednesday my back only had a dull shadow of the former discomfort. Thank you Sarah Beth. You saved me this week!

    These gentle low back/sciatica sequences are helping me minimize and live with this sciatica pain. I've been stopping several times through the day to pause and stretch. Seems to be keeping the sciatica pain at bay...without all the side effects of meds! Thank you! Feeling hopeful. Got my 90 Dad doing some of the stretches. Helping him, too.

    For someone that has scoliosis, this has done so much for me! Working in an office creates so much strain on my lower back so when I come home, this is such a great way to relax my back especially the part when I put a pillow under my pelvis and let my legs just stretch out. Amazing! Thanks for everything!

    I really needed to gently nurture my low back after a stressful morning plus bathing my 80 pound Golden in the tub - this was perfect! I have been using the figure 4 a few times a week for months now and while I still definitely feel the stretch I also notice a big reduction in the amount of persistent low back pain. Thanks!

    That was amazing! I needed that!!! However, I continue to have a struggle with tight hips. It's even to the point where I couldn't lay on my back and have my knees bend and held together (the together part in the catch) and pull them into my chest. I can barely do the butterfly pose as well. Any suggestions??

      Do they feel tight, immobile, inflexible? If you have hip problems you may way to run it by your health care professional before beginning any exercise routine. This video would be great for gently opening up the hips and lower back :)

    I go to your deep stretch series when my aching makes sleep impossible and I'm half asleep by the time that I leave the mat. I've had insomnia since I was five so that isn't easy. Thank you for all the wonderful practices!
