    I didn’t see the dealer sticker on Jason’s Steiger when I was there. Warner’s Turbo Shop was west of Kewanee, Illinois. Pearl and Terry Warner. They are out of business now, but they use to always be at the Farm Progress Show plowing with the latest Steiger.

    I watch your channel when it pops up on the U Tube, always enjoy it. You questioned the white paint on the block of some Farmall's. Most all gas start diesels had a white primer coat on the block, some kind of special sealant to stop the diesel oils from seeping through the casting. They all had it from the factory, thats why I never hot tanked one of those as I didn't wan t to loose it.

I have a 4-18s of the same series and it can be a bitch to get it set right, once it is set I don't touch it at all except for when I'm pulling out of the furrow and raise the 3pt.

    A very nice gentlemen swung by and asked if we needed a ride while down by the south entrance when we got there about 4. Wish I would have gotten his name. I was pretty impressed with the Farmall M with the cab, pretty minty rig. I wanted that 1855 gas, lol. That’s apparently 1 of 8, factory made gas tractors with a narrow front. 1:13:40 - The guy that owns that twin 880, doesn’t live too far away from me and I know him decently. If I recall correctly, it’s was rear wheel steer last time, and he’s since converted it to front steer. (Operating position).

    Rollag is featuring Oliver-Hart Parr this year and it looks like it will be the biggest expo we have had in a while. There should be about 200 tractors from the 30-60s to a handful of 2255s, including xo-121. There will also be a bunch of implements like balers, plows, tillage tools, and combines. It is going to be awesome.

I didnt see the writing on sticker but if it looked french then thats because it was sold in the french part (west) side of Switzerland. They were actually made on the east side (Swiss German). Pretty cool to see one in the USA!!! There is 2 in Ontario that i know about. They both are in my dad's shop😎😎🍺🍻🍺

    Gold IH Demonstrators were not serialized from the factory, you simply have to sand down to the original paint and it must be the correct model with correct options. Many were repainted red after the demonstration program so lots of them survive unknown. If one was ever taken to bare metal it's simply lost to history.

    • @Oliver66FarmBoy
      @Oliver66FarmBoy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It may be but in my mind it’s still not all that special. 1855 gassers aren’t to hard to come by. (Why on earth anybody would want a 100 horse gas tractor in the first place is behind me cause you could never afford to run it especially today). And if you really wanted a narrow front it’s not hard to swap them. Id pay more for a run of the mill diesel wide front before I bought that hog. Now if it was something really different like a gas front wheel assist. That may be a little different story.

    • @humefarms210
      @humefarms210 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Oliver66FarmBoy I agree with the gas part, but I think the narrow front is neat. We have a narrow front off of a 1755 that we swapped for a wide front to bale hay. And, what size tires on on the front of your 1955? I want to build a 1/16 scale model of it.

    • @frankwurth5375

      I watch Bandit's channel as well, must have missed that one. As to big gassers, I have a 806 gas that cost IHC around 3 million in law suits. Fellow got burned trying to fill the tank while running and spilled over on the broken manifold, visited with Max Armstrong some years back about it at the Pennfield show, seems he is friends with the lawyer that worked for harvester at the time. All those lawsuits were filed here in St Clair county. I got it "salvage" after the litigation and restored it. We used it for many years since, never had any issues, but it isn't all that bad on fuel. Pulled the same load as the diesel version here for years till we went to 200 hp tractors, needs restoration again and a proper place in the IHC story.
