ugh i wish you wew my uncle i need someone who has knowledge so i can do this on my 4x4 hardbody😂
I hope to do them for people someday, just not there yet
Become that uncle.
please try to convince tdconversions to make an adapter for the ford 2.3 lima from the old rangers.
I wish I could! I can't remember how many requests they need to make a new adapter but it's a lot unfortunately 😔
@@TDISwaps Its a darn shame since most rangers were the 4 bangers as well as alot of other older cars.
Just imagine a 1.6l vw diesel in a 70's mustang mach II... the ultimate abomination of the gas crunch.
That would be awesome!
Ya I am actually liking the setup of a manually controlled auto behind the TDI, and that makes it pretty universal to swap in a jeep or Chevy transmission into anything with some custom drivelines. @@davidmeier1004
i already put a reman trans in my ranger so i would prefer that to not be a sunk cost@@TDISwaps
You ever seen one of these engines mounted to a three on the tree transmission?
Most of the older builds I've seen use a newer transmission to get overdrive. There is an early small block Chevy adapter though so I'm sure you could make it work
@@TDISwaps what website are you getting these adaptors from?
@@TDISwaps I’ve subscribed to your channel. We do a lot of stuff like this on my channel. Also, working on a build right now.
@FirstGendodgegarage should be the one you would need here. tdconversions.com/products/vw-1-9-2-0l-tdi-to-chevy-small-block-adapter-kit-pre-1986?sca_ref=2282812.xcTsEMbSOW
@@TDISwaps hell yeah brother thank you I’m excited now
Does that still have A/C?
The Toyota has AC, the Chevy just needs the hoses connected
Would a 2010 2.0 work?
Yes definitely! They are more complex and part are more expensive, quite a few different deletes that need done to make them dependable, but for more money you can end up with an even higher HP build, so it's not at all out of the question for the swap.
How much cost for swap TJ
Reusing a lot of parts wiring hoses etc. I spent about $2300 on mine after parting out the donor VW car to make back $1000 on the build
Thanks, very interested to swap my wife's TJ
@@MrAVA700 it's a pretty awesome setup, and 22-26 MPG in a lifted TJ is just crazy!
False information he didn’t mention crying
🤣🤣🤣 you only need to cry if you get scammed on parts, unfortunately that is happening more and more these days 😔

I can't quiet make that out
