I love when Norm walks into the bar and after everyone yells “Norm”, you then hear Diane at the very end say “Norman.” That was always hilarious to me.

When Frederick yells "Norm", everybody is stunned and Lilith says, "He said, mommy!" LOL That was the best.

Cheers is a treasure. Norm walking into the bar is one of the great moments in television. I laugh at all of them. A local TV station shows Cheer at 4am...so I'm now getting up real early. Incidentally, the Cheers Thanksgiving show is one of the 10 greatest moments in television. NORM!!!
Diane''s quiet "Norman" makes me giggle.
I bet George Wendt the actor who played Norm gets free beers every where he goes and someone calls him Norm at least once a day.

Yeah, it's sad but they always kept that picture up of Geronimo to remember him by. I much prefer Woody, but Coach was pretty cool.

Person sitting in Norm's spot: Oh, there was no one here when we came in.
Norm: No, I mean yesterday. And really, since the Ford administration.
It's like a brief history of the show. Sadly, Coach is suddenly not there to prompt Norm's funny answer, then Sam does it for a while, then they decided to have Woody take over. Then of course, the "Norman" stops.
I really hope I'm not the only dork who yelled NORM, when he walks in, while watching this show.
I wish I had friendships/friends like this.

This was my favorite part of Cheers when Norm entered the bar.
We reeacted this scene during a production of Fiddler on the Roof. When Tevye arrived at the bar to meet with Lazar Wolf, he said “evening everyone”, and the whole place yelled ‘Tev’ and the bartender said Tevye.
It was a little improv that got the whole crowd laughing.
Love it, we got two for the price of one!! At 4:43, we got a "Norm" AND a "Norman" from Diane. 😂😂
Norm, and Kramer from Seinfeld made the best entrances.
Growing up I waited each week to see whether he’d enter the bar during the show snd when he did, what his response would be to whatever question was asked. Priceless.

Was watching an interview with director Jim Burrows, and he said when they shot the pilot, and the Norm entrance “What d’ya know?” “Not enough” line got an unexpected laugh, they decided to make it a running gag.

George Wendt, Ted Danson and Rhea Perlman are the only cast members that have appeared in all the Cheers Episodes from 1982 to 1993.
Every neighborhood needs a Cheers and a Norm.
Back when I was in high school, I would spend my time at a small diner after my classes ended and it was like my personal version of CHEERS. Everyone knew me there and would often give me a "Hey" or a handshake.
Just an iconic, perfect show.
Cheers is my favorite tv show of all time. This s no doubt 1 of the "GREATEST COMEDIES". The cast played was SUPERB!!!

Lordy, I loved that show. I didn't start watching until season 3 when I started college. Thursday nights. I was saddened when Coach died and was dubious about Woody stepping in. But, like with MASH, they didn't just get a replacement for a departed character. They got a whole new character who was his/her own person and grew into the ensemble so well. Watching this video really brings me back to a younger time. No rosy glasses. It was a stressful time in my life. But Thursday nights brought me to a group of friends I could visit, like a ghost, and forget about life for a while.
My boss always greets us like Norm. Tempted to answer back like Coach before I get his coffee.

They forgot one: the "Manchild in Beantown" episode, when they filmed Norm and Woody walking into the Hungry Heifer. Norm's a regular there, too.

I’m binge watching the whole series on Peacock but I’m only up to the beginning of season 5.
I remember watching the pilot episode with my dad when I was ten. It's so cool seeing the show on my 55-inch TV now. I can see so much more detail of the bar I could not really see on our 80's TV!
