It was so good. I feel it was better than Seinfeld, but The office is a bit better in my opinion. Cheers spun off Frazier. That was a very good show too

Sam's classic Beer Mug Slide was their equivalent of Joe Montana or Dan Marino threading a perfect pass to Jerry Rice or one of The Marks Brothers back in the day through a tight receiving window to the guy all by his lonesome in the end zone. Note the perfect physical timing by George Wendt as Norm just to be there at the bar just to grab it in the first place!😂🤣🍺🏈B.W.
There's an episode where he curves it around the corner of the bar, but I forget which one. If I remember right, they used a string to do that one.. :)
Just have to wonder how man talks they needed to get it right.
At the race track bar during live racing for 20 years. 5 times a week. To my right was Stan. To my left was Dell, then Trenny, then Gordon, then Randy, then Drew. At the tables behind me was Nate, Fletch, Ray, Hotrod, and Shorty.

This is really sad. Cheers was one of my favourite shows to watch when I was little. I always thought she was so pretty, funny, and cool. I’ve never heard anyone say anything bad about her. Rest In Peace Kirstie 💔

They didn't drink real beer on TV, as that was illegal. So, they drank a product called Near Beer.

spoiler alert, It's called Odoul's now. That's not a joke or lie. We used split a near beer when I was a kid.
It's legal, it's just makes for problems when you have to do multiple takes.

@@yankee2666 You'll have to give me a citation for that. It seems like an odd sort of law that would prohibit alcohol on a movie set. In most cases, use of alcohol in the workplace is regulated by the employer, with prohibitions against consumption in the work place extending to those sort of things where it would be illegal to consume it outside the workplace such as operation of a motor vehicle. OHSA doesn't seem to have a separate category of safety rules for movie sets, so I'd suspect they'd be covered under the rules for general industry. While I agree that the use of real alchohol is not generally done, I can find no actual laws prohibiting it. Please point me to the relevant statutes.
