oh god. I remember having chicken pox and was off school. My Dad and I watched Cheers to buck me up. God it feels like 100 years ago. Years later, I'm norm at the bar round the corner; johnny walker over ice. Lol
It was so good. I feel it was better than Seinfeld, but The office is a bit better in my opinion. Cheers spun off Frazier. That was a very good show too
One I remember - Bartender: "What's going on Mr. Peterson?" Norm: "Let's not talk about what's going ON Mr. Peterson, let's talk about what's going IN Mr. Peterson, give me a beer."
At the race track bar during live racing for 20 years. 5 times a week. To my right was Stan. To my left was Dell, then Trenny, then Gordon, then Randy, then Drew. At the tables behind me was Nate, Fletch, Ray, Hotrod, and Shorty.
Sam's classic Beer Mug Slide was their equivalent of Joe Montana or Dan Marino threading a perfect pass to Jerry Rice or one of The Marks Brothers back in the day through a tight receiving window to the guy all by his lonesome in the end zone. Note the perfect physical timing by George Wendt as Norm just to be there at the bar just to grab it in the first place!😂🤣🍺🏈B.W.
There's an episode where he curves it around the corner of the bar, but I forget which one. If I remember right, they used a string to do that one.. :)
This is really sad. Cheers was one of my favourite shows to watch when I was little. I always thought she was so pretty, funny, and cool. I’ve never heard anyone say anything bad about her. Rest In Peace Kirstie 💔
Actually it's funny that Norm would say "he looks at Vera and can't" when he tells Coach why he can't have kids. George Wendt's wife, actress Bernadette Birkett, who was the voice of Vera and appeared as Vera in one episode of Cheers (her face wasn't shown because it was hidden by a pie she got hit with) is actually a very beautiful woman.
My favourite one was Woody: Hey Mr Peterson, how ya doing? Norm: Pour Woody: Oh, Im sorry to hear that Norm: No...pour On paper it doesnt sound funny, but the delivery..
1.13 Endomorph quip is great. Looked like Josie Foster for a second. Endomorph is a bodybuilding term for someone who is prone to gain fat easy. Ectomorph is skinny body type. Mesomorph naturally muscular.
@@celebrim1 As a rule, and in many cases (and states) as law, alcohol is not allowed on a set. On very rare occasions a non-alcoholic (.5%) beer has been used. ...SAG-AFTRA since 1984.
@@yankee2666 You'll have to give me a citation for that. It seems like an odd sort of law that would prohibit alcohol on a movie set. In most cases, use of alcohol in the workplace is regulated by the employer, with prohibitions against consumption in the work place extending to those sort of things where it would be illegal to consume it outside the workplace such as operation of a motor vehicle. OHSA doesn't seem to have a separate category of safety rules for movie sets, so I'd suspect they'd be covered under the rules for general industry. While I agree that the use of real alchohol is not generally done, I can find no actual laws prohibiting it. Please point me to the relevant statutes.

Wish to god they would do a reboot of this show I love cheers
I was just telling my gf this 35 years later I'm Norm I love this show reminds me of my Dad
I remember waking up late nights and finding my dad watching this. I was allowed to watch with
GENIUS - I watched every episode, and decades later, this is still a superior comedy.
I never want to be reincarnated into anything
It’s really not that funny
@@Jackmerius_Tacktheritrix5733 whatever you think is better is actually trash
@@Jackmerius_Tacktheritrix5733 Then why are you even watching this then?
@@Daequan12387 I vaguely remember this coming on and I would change the channel. I looked it up here to see how the show was and it’s depressing.
The funniest line in television sitcom, "....I look at Vera, I just can't".
My favorite sitcom of all time easily
It was so good. I feel it was better than Seinfeld, but The office is a bit better in my opinion. Cheers spun off Frazier. That was a very good show too
It’s a dog, eat, dog world, and I’m wearing Miilkbone underwear.
Best line I’ve ever heard on television. 😂😂😂
6:19 “I have impossibly high standards for a woman.”
“Yeah, she has to like you.”
😂😂😂
Damn, I love this show. I laugh out loud ever time I watch it!!
The beer slide to Norm as he was about to sit in his spot, was epic timing, but of course would have taken quite a few takes to get right.
What are you up to Norm?
Norm: My ideal weight if I were 11 feet tall
One I remember -
Bartender: "What's going on Mr. Peterson?"
Norm: "Let's not talk about what's going ON Mr. Peterson, let's talk about what's going IN Mr. Peterson, give me a beer."
"Norm, howz life treating you?"
"Like a baby treats a diaper" :)
Shelley Long chuckling at Norm catching the beer is classic.
❤❤🎉❤
@1:17, that whole exchange was funny as hell! The way he was looking at her, then to get roasted like that. I keep rewatching that.
"It's a dog eat dog world and I'm wearing Milk Bone underwear" - Norm Peterson
My favorite line from the whole thing. I use it myself occasionally. LOL
Brilliant Writing
best show

Terrible attempt at a Boston ascent.

Just have to wonder how man talks they needed to get it right.
Dan Marino threw a pass to Jerry Rice? When did that happen?
@craigjgomez: Joe Montana to Jerry Rice. Or Dan Marino to one or both of The Marks Brothers. I apologize for the poor Grammar.😂😉🏈💰💲🐬B.W.

Cheers is in my top 5 greatest shows in TV history they don't make shows like anymore sad.
You have the me too and rainbow mafia PriDEMONth agenda to thank for that. They ruined television.
Wanna tell us the other top 4?
How's the world treating you, Norm?
Like a baby treats a diaper.
Al Nonymous:::I waited all day for this, Al. I fell out of my chair !
30 sec into the vid, Ted with that beer slide is always shocking to me overtime he did that!!!!!!!!!!!
He was great in columbo strange bedfellows
That beer slide at 0:30 tho
Wonder how many takes that took
Could have been on a fish line... pretty slick though

They didn't drink real beer on TV, as that was illegal. So, they drank a product called Near Beer.
Spoiler Alert ...illegal?
spoiler alert, It's called Odoul's now. That's not a joke or lie. We used split a near beer when I was a kid.
It's legal, it's just makes for problems when you have to do multiple takes.
