The fact that yall went out of your way to make funny/badass, but very stupid descriptions for most of the demons just like the instruction manuals ID Software made for DOOM and DOOM II back in the day is just sheer dedication
I had that idea when I was going make to my own episode and the level name was called The Doomstein ( I know its sounds weird but I was trying to brainstorm back then ).
If they have 100HP you can kill them in 1 shotgun shot. The max damage from the SG is 105. You have a 1.4% chance to do max dmg, and about a 15% chance to do 100-105 dmg.
At first thought, I was a little disappointed that most of the enemies are just reskins of other enemies, but that's the case with several enemies already so it fits the theme.
I wonder if this new content is a tease of what's to come in the Dark Ages? For instance, the Arachnotron in the TDA trailer has a chaingun instead of its usual plasma cannon...much like the Mindweaver. So what if...that wasn't the Arachnotron in the trailer, but the *Mindweaver*?
I wished that the console version demons (Nightmare Spectre, the Caco-Spectre and the scrapped Nightmare Imp) of doom 1 and 2 were included in the legacy of rust expansion.
They would be cool to have. There is a nightmare imp on realm 667, and it has fully custom sprites and is cooler than the recolor id made. I use it in my monster and weapon randomizer pack
It is theoretically possible for a single shotgun blast to kill a 100 HP enemy because the shotgun fires 7 pellets of 5-15 damage, making the shotgun theoretically do 35-105 damage. But you need some extreme RNG luck for a shotgun to do 100 damage but it is possible, You just could never rely on it. More than 100 damage is not actually possible with vanilla RNG making it even harder for a shotgun to kill a 100 HP enemy. Best use the super shotgun.
1:08 THAT’S NOT THE RIGHT SHEET THAT ONE WAS REUSED FOR THE PAIN ELEMENTAL’S SHOOTING FRAMES okay the blob did not turn into the banshee, the id vault shows the sprites LITERALLY USED FOR THE BANSHEE in a separate entry in the monsters section (good video though, just pointing out this error)
You guys are crazy fast! Great work. I would love if you guys animate the "lore" of the game. I SO love the plot, basically, the UAC found a supposedly empty section of hell. Build a city and then from what i can guess, the Vassago and maybe the other demons somehow caused a earthquake that'd collapsed the whole new micro nation. And we play as a Marine sent to kill all the demons to reclaim it. It sounds so much Warhammer 40k like. I love it and seeing you guys animate something like cities in hell would be fun.
Hope to see this content be possible to play with brutal doom and project brutality. Does this automatically get updated to your doom 1 and 2 games? Or do you have to buy them?
@@lechumqc7910 , I'd love to see the Unity Port Official Add-Ons stuff being added as DLC in the future, along with some good .WADs that they omitted like Alien Vendetta and Plutonia 2. Also, E1M10, E1M8B, and Sigil II all need to be a part of the new DLC in the future, along with the old red cross medical kits.
@@lechumqc7910 , here's how I would describe the new Items, Weapons, and Monsters if I were to follow the old-school Doom video game manual rules. New Weapons: Incinerator - No, this isn't an old Earth type fire based waste disposal contraption, but, like it, this new UAC toy that you get to try from its catalog does also have to do with fire, namely that it's the UAC take of the classic Flamethrower that's been around since at least the ancient Greek Empire. Basically, this device is rapid firing, like your typical Plasma Gun, but it's Ammo is also like the nightmarish spawn of Greek Fire and Napalm, and it's also the gift keeps on hurting, and hurting, and hurting...Anyway, just hurry up and go burn the trash of Hell with this bad boy! Calamity Blade - Ironically, despite its name, it's actually more like a wall of fire that emits from a Ballista like Gun than an actual bladed Weapon, and, like the BFG-9000, it's great for both crowd control or use against the baddest of the bad from Hell. New Items: Fuel Tank - Like you, Guns and Weapons have needs to survive, and this little Fuel Tank is perfect for your new toys, namely, the Incinerator, and the Calamity Blade. Large Fuel Tank - This is the party pack for your new toys, and you're going to also need this on tougher enemies, large crowds of weak enemies, large crowds of strong enemies, or all of those things at once...hmm, Demon BBQ, anyone? New Enemies: Ghoul - This is the speedier, and smaller, little brother to the Lost Soul, and it's also what the result is to a Former Human whenever they lose their body. Despite it being weaker than the Lost Soul, it can fire rapid fire Plasma Shots like the Arachnotron, but one Shotgun blast will make it instantly regret making you its enemy. Banshee - This blood red blob of ectoplasm thinks that it's going to scare you with its demonic diva wailing that's an insult to music everywhere, but it's not the wailing that you've got to worry about, or its durability, rather, it's essentially a demonic version of a suicide bomber, and if it hits you, then it's also going to put the hurt on you, if not kill you outright, so put an end to its pathetic attempt of a music career, as well as its demonic holy war against you, and silence the spoiled brat with a Shotgun blast from a considerable distance, unless you want to get into its crosshairs, anyway. Stormtrooper - Oh, great, now a Former Human has learned to get some Combat Armor, as well as also somehow got its mitts on a Plasma Gun, possibly from a departed Arachnotron, and it also might have even its new toy an upgrade in power, albeit at the sacrifice of its speed. Anyway, Plasma Balls hurt, so avoid them, also, please be smart and don't go close to this guy, and do your best to take him out from a distance. The Super Shotgun is recommended to take down this walking rotting flesh bag, so blow its head off like a tin can off of a wooden fence! Mindweaver - Oh, look, how cute, how utterly adorable, it's a Mini Spiderdemon! Yes, it's tougher than an Arachnotron when it comes to durability, and, like its Mommy, its Chaingun will also fill you with more holes than Swiss cheese if you're not careful, so please go give it a few blasts from one of your more powerful Guns, and also let the Spiderdemon Family, as well as Hell itself, know to not mess with a UAC Marine! Vassago - Contrary to what you might think, it's not some fancy new Italian fashion brand, but, rather, it's actually supposed to be a good demon, according to the literature that is said about it, anyway. Well, it's obvious that a lot of people made a lot of mistakes in writing those stories about it because this goat skull helmet wearing, winged, cloven hoofed, and blackened menace has a nasty form of fire that makes what the Arch-Vile flings at you seem harmless in comparison. Yeah, it has fire that clings to things like it was the nightmarish offspring of Greek Fire and Napalm, and that's not a good thing. Oh, and did I mention that it can bite and slash at you like Imps, Knights of Hell, and Barons of Hell as well. Yeah, this guy is who the Barons of Hell call on when things are even too tough for them, and you'd better get quite of bit of Ammo after it as well. Fighting it with fire is ironically your best bet, so go try your new toys, the Incinerator, and the Calamity Blade, on multi-ton moron! Tyrant - Ah, this is the little brother to the Cyberdemon, and, although he's not as tough as one, he's also pretty tough in his own right. Yes, he's not as imposing looking as his bigger brother, and he also doesn't have as much metal on him as his big brother as well, but the one thing that they do have in common is a rocket launcher for an arm. Also, whenever you see one of these guys, you know that he's not going to be alone, and he's also going to be bringing his bigger brothers to meet you as well. You should give him the same treatment as his bigger brother, namely, feed him some Rocket Launcher Rockets, or some Incinerator or Calamity Blade Flames. I'm sorry if the Vassago and the Tyrant entries might be a bit too long, but I was doing my best to follow the spirit of the old manuals. Please let me know if I did it right, though...thanks.
5:40 This isn't entirely true. If you take the secret exit in Map 2, you will find Shock Troopers in the secret level, well before Map 4. Great video tho.
The editing is great but your stuff would be so much better if you just voiced it yourself instead of using the AI voices, it's very unpersonal and sounds bad detracting from everything else

Not likely, unfortunately - GZDoom has two proprietary scripting languages (decorate and zscript), that aren't easy to implement. There is A mod in the mod browser that has some cut down features of brutal doom, but I forget the name.
This may be a controversial opinion, But Vassago feels too out of place for me even for Doom's standards. The Icon Of Sin may have a cliche design, It still feels like a Doom entity. While Vassago looks more like a demon from a different hellish game like Agony or something. Perhaps its because of its black coloration which is not a color often found in Doom demons.
I think that even if it shows that it is a newer addition, perhaps having a 3d model that was used for the sprites to be created, it is on a similar level with Amuscaria's monsters. I like that they finally made a stronger baron of sorts, and does not look like a recolored baron like most baron variants made by the community.
Those green, lower health Cyberdemons have been a stable in fan made wads for a while now. It's crazy seeing them in an official Doom levelset.
I was not expecting them to add these. Slaughter map makers will be happy
