Fantastic work! It is amazing to see a small team of just five people making such a big difference and get the demand for a plant based treaty heard by the sixty thousands delegates in attendance. Beyond the negotiations, these actions will ripple effects in the months to come and in the run up to COP 30 in Brazil.

When we switch to a plant based food system, we can restore/reforest 76% of farmland AND be able to feed everyone. -J. Poore, Oxford, journal Science

Knowing that one of the biggest polluters, if not the biggest, is the animal food industry. According to most researchers, the most significant polluter is the animal industry. The only way that can really stop the climate crisis is to go vegan. The other pollutants alone can reduce the damage of the climate crisis, but not prevent it. And yet, in a delusional way, the animal industries veto the discussions of the damages they cause, and the money is so blind that they didn't even bring vegan food to the conference whose job it is to discuss the promotion of veganism in order to maintain the status quo!!!

Teaching people to farm and grow their own crops is admirable and necessary, but unfortunately, it is highly unrealistic for the majority of people, due to the time and land it requires. Also by advocating this approach, you shift responsibility away from yourself and onto others, avoiding responsibility and action.
As for the topic of choice. Choice inherently comes with responsibility. When we make choices, we are accountable for the consequences of those decisions. By choosing actions that harm others or the environment (such as polluting), you are responsible for those negative impacts.
This also brings us to a critical ethical question: How can we justify taking the life of someone who does not want to be killed, or abusing someone who does not want to be abused? The answer is simple, we cannot. It's ethically indefensible, especially when viable alternatives exist.
So if you take an honest look at what you can change right now to stop contributing to one of the most polluting industries, it is to stop consuming animal products.

Animal agriculture uses 80% of agricultural land globally but only produces 18% of calories. To produce food in smarter ways with less space plant based is the only way to go. We evolved to where we are by eating what calories were available. Now we have a vast array of food options available and we need to move forward by choosing the ones that wont destroy our planet and us along with it. Plant based means 75% of current agricultural land can be reforested. There is no better thing we can do for our planet.

You know to make your chemical spray infertile land into organic land we need cows (Local variety), bulls, Buffalo (male and female buffalo). As they digest grass for 48 hours and we get good bacterias in Cow dung. Milk and butter ghee can be used as liquid to obtain natural insecticide or bad bacteriocide along cow urine, Neem, Hing, Black Pepper (Don't know proprotion will give from India Farmer foing Vedic Natural Farming with little bit of tillage, minimum machine usage).
So Becoming Vegan means you need vegetable, fruit crops. But this crops require organic manure obtained from decomposting Cowdung. So no need to kill the Goat, Chicken, Pig, Cow for meat. You still can get chemical free milk and butter ghee. You need to support farmers for getting cattles and get rid of slaughtering animals by not purchasing meat or fish.
Plant based food expensive as Laboratory grown and every man made thing is increasing climate change. Be natural. Not tech savy modern. Corporate earn in billions.

Animals do not make nutrients out of thin air. Only plants can do that. All the fertility in manure comes from plants. It is far better to add organic matter directly back to the soil protect soil, improve soil fertility and soil structure than to feed it to an animal who burns most of the carbon in it as fuel and releases it into the atmosphere.

Going plant based means that 75% of current agricultural land can be reforested. At the moment 80% of agricultural land is used for animal agriculture which provides only 18% of calories. A landscape of just grass with barely a tree in sight is not biodiverse in the slightest. Even worse is the compaction, erosion and desertification caused by grazing.

You say even if we stopped fossil fuels today global warming would continue cos of animal ag, while this is true the same can be said about animal ag. That even if everyone went plant based/Vegan suitable today we don’t have 20 years for the reforested freed up land to mature enough to sequester enough atmospheric CO2 . The last time the Earth had the current 427ppm the Seas were approx 80 feet higher so we only at the beginning of what 427ppm will do!. Also there is a time lag of approx 20 years between change in atmospheric CO2 and it’s impacts on the climate, so the apocalyptic climate events we are now witnessing are from atmospheric CO2 levels of approx 20 years ago!. We need a second rapid transition to Decentralised Carbon Neg ( Non Fossilised) Algae Based Economies( link below), basically we can use Algae to clean our waste water, landfill runoff and industrial gasses while drawing down vast quantities of atmospheric CO2, producing valuable Biomass & Bio Oil that can be made into numerous Eco Friendly, Carbon Neg, Compostable products, also clean burning Carbon Neg Bio Fuels. th-cam.com/video/ExOXF1x3N1g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=l3-aPYsHbsX3XE4Z

Nobody is saying that we don't have to phase out fossil fuels. There is already much more awareness for that necessity at these events. But do you know what happens when we start decarbonising without phasing out methane from animals? The planet will warm first because of the cooling effects from aerosols from burning fossil fuels and biomass.
